Green screen or some other Chroma Key. You just took some footage off of your TV and chroma key'd it on to your Wii. What would have been even more wonderful is if you showed the bottom screen.

Now you can simply take Adobe After Effects and add the TV static video to show only in the margin the DS screen square is.
