  • Canons kick ASS!

  • Greenville's finest on deck GO PIRATES!! #ECU

  • nikon looks more blue

  • why not compare canon using canon 50mm? anyway, I agree with you tha camera is just tool.. it's just how you take the picture that actually counts. a little technical advantages won't be visible that much that could make a whole lot differences.

  • this test is bogus LOL you don't use a nikon on a canon to show people the difference in filming quality... if you want to make a legit comparison, do it right

  • @FRANKORILLA It's a lens... just because Nikon makes it doesn't mean the quality is going to be worse when you put it on a Canon. Comparing a Canon with a Canon lens and a Nikon w/ Nikon lens would be even less "scientific."

  • I'm currently in the middle of buying a camera right now and i'm stuck between a Canon T3i and a Nikon D5100. Any recommendations or tips?

  • Both are great cameras. I think the video is better on the Canon. So if video is important get the canon. If you are just taking pictures either one is fine.

  • @joselykspy You have full manual video control with the T3i which is much more important than the auto focus in video mode of the D5100. So if you're into video get the Canon. If not you won't go wrong with either.

  • @joselykspy If I would be you, I'll take the T3i!

  • I had the Nikon D-90 for over a yr or so I just love this cam easy to handle not to much bulk like the canon's and it out does my friends over priced Cam's I never use the vid mode My picture's R Beautiful and out standing WHo ever gets this cam will not be disappointed with D-90 also it has better ISO then Canon

  • I thought that lens adapter reduce your image quality? (sorry for the bad english XP)

  • you can use that nikon lens with the canon camera body?

  • Yes you just need to buy a Nikon to canon adapter..

  • Throw that shitty lens away and by the right lens for your T2i!

  • Both are amazing.

  • D90 steps all over 550D.

  • @TEAMWHITTINGTON in my opinion , the space in between what appears semi pro and expert is smaller today. d7000 is all we all want. check out... freedslr . cong change cong with com and get a chance to bring home a new Nikon D7000

  • Cut the middle man. Get the 7d!!

  • nikon was giving in depth details of the colors and brightness, exposure.

Canon gave the HD effect...super clarity. though color detail was less..

  • cannon is best

  • I have the canon. Go for that if you want amazing video quality and features!

  • i am botha canon and nikon girl but when it comes do dslr cameras i would go with a nikon but if you just want a basic camera like one that can fit in ur pocket go with a canon powershot sd 1400 i have that camera and LOVE it and my grandpa has the nikon d5000 and i LOVE that o for a dslr

  • I Love D90 ... the best DSLR ever..

  • @konyotics Hahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha.

  • @soulmman hahaahahahaha .. lol ... =)

  • can nikon and canon switch between lenses?

  • Guys i am considering the Canon actually, i almost bought it. But according to the comments, Nikon image quality is better although it has a lower mp count. I want to take mainly photos and also something that has manual mode.

  • Don't worry about the equipment. Any brand camera today in this category is better then anything a few years back. Just start taking pictures and develop an eye for good photos. It is the person behind the equipment that takes good pictures. Not the other way around. Just get a good lens and try your best.

  • @syberfilm I've heard it put this way also, "Most of these cameras have so much capability that YOU will be the one holding back the camera from taking great pictures." ;)

  • @MarcusCookiez go with the canon 7d its amazing if u love to take picture go with 5d full frame but if u like to film and take fast picture for something like sport go with 7d amazing picture and video mode ) manuel ofcouse

  • @MarcusCookiez Go with the NIkon D7000. IMOP, its way better than the Canon 60d in almost every aspect except for the mega pixel count. Nikon take better photo in low light than Canon. The D7000 have an autofocus in video mode and has more autofocus points than Canon.

Which every camera you choose you can still take great photos and can't go wrong. People make great photos not camera!!!

  • canon rulez

  • Better yet, buy a video camera. All dslr's take bad video, whether it says Full HD or not. :P Nikon's take much better photo's and have better menu features and so on, and canon just doesn't compare to Nikon's quality. As for video the canon is better, but if you are seriously going to spend 900 dollars on a DSLR, you're not getting it for it's video, you're getting it for photos. You want good video, buy a video camera.

  • The Canon Rebel T2i is defintally better for video. The Nikon D90 has a limited video recording length of 2 Gigs. So if you choose the settings to the lowest quality video, you can shoot for up to 20 minutes. With the highest quality setting, you can shoot for only 5 minutes. Unlike the Canon Rebel T2i's unlimited video length, depending on the size of your SD card.

    Nikon D90 = Photos

    Canon Rebel T2i = Video

  • SO QUESTION YOU CAN USE NIKON LENSES ON A CANON.......I THOUGHT THE HOOK UPS WERE DIFFERENT.....CAN I GET AND ADAPTER TO USE NIKON LENSES

  • Both cameras seem to work really well. The only problem I have with the Nikon is the fact that it has no mic input which is REALLY important for filmmaking.

  • Nikon rules. (Y)

  • They're both good cameras, I own the T2i, T1, D200 and D90.

The T2i and D90 are about the same. The D90 is more of a stills camera, but then I've used the video on my T2i maybe 5 times just to try it.

  • The T2i has more saturation but it still looks good.

  • isn't it funny how both cameras have completely different color profiles and gaumets, His shirt is blue in one and purple in the other

So in a sense of color profiles, it all depends on what color shirt he was really wearing lol

  • Никон как всегда лучший!))

  • The canon 550d is much better for manual overides, the h.264 files are difficult to edit, but its the better choice.

  • По моему у тебя проблема с линзами которые для CANON :)

Никон снимает хуже, так как снимает в 24 кадра и картинка у него на много хуже!! А вот Кэнон снимает красивее это и я проверял и все кто хочешь :)

  • Dude, i say, the light has influence on both tests; On Nikon it seems the sun hasn't reached where they are, and on Canon the sun spots are there changing color, and also the response of sensor for brightness.

Have you guys used the same preset for both cameras? like apperture, speed and ISO? I would really like to know!

  • I need a DSLR that comes with a lens and under about $1,200. The size doesn't quite matter that much, what I need in order is:

    1) Great picture quality, like D90

    2) Great video quality, like T2i

    3) Great auto focus, fast auto focus?

    4) Fast speed, for pictures and following subject in video

Cameras I currently have in mind are Canon EOS Rebel T2i, Canon EOS 60D, Nikon D90, and Sony Alpha DSLR-A580

  • @luckyazian13 I have a T2i and D90, the T2i I reckon preforms better overrall, I mean the video quality is outstanding compared to the D90 and it is cheaper than the 60D but pretty much has the same specs. The D90 produces good pictures but the T2i can compete against it. T2i just makes more sense to me pricewise, camerawise, specwise, you get the point.

  • @plawkzer

    Thank you so very much

  • since canon has 1080p res this is not really a fair test:P because of course clarity and stuff may be the same here but its just like d90 is in max gear and 550d is in 3rd gear ;) in this case. Conclusion: put 550d in full gear and... run!!!

  • which camera has better imagine quality?nikon d90 or canon 550d?

  • @NAGULNR2 d90

  • NIKON D90 FTWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • good test !

  • @KISSAproductions

the canon is better for video

  • @quickmantan thanks

  • @KISSAproductions : ofcourse its the t2i, D90 can't even shot full HD videos while t2i can :)

  • @bachu247 yeah, thanks, i've already decided to get t2i, it's really much better in video mode:)

  • com'on guys, we all know that canon is WAY much better than the nikon. there is no need for them to be compaired.

  • NIKKON IS BETTER IN TAKING PHOTOS BUT ON VIDEO AS YOU CAN SEE THE TWO ARE DIFERRENT..LOOK CLOSELY..LOOK AT THE COLOR AND THE OUYPUT....

  • hey im mainly interest in taking photos but i'd like to film videos here and there

should i still get a canon?

  • im about to buy a new camera, and i need someone to guide me, i want this new camera to shoot good cuality skate videos in full HD and also to take good pictures, a friend told me about the Canon Eos Rebel T2i and other friend recomended me the Nikon D7000, can someone here help me to take that decision. Sorry for my english im from latinamerica and my english is pretty basic. Thanks.

  • @DouglasRoller Message me for a skateboarding video using the T1i and another using the T2i. They're both amazing quality and worth getting. You could also try searching YouTube for "T2i Skateboarding" as I did.

  • I have used both and although I love the Nikon.. For now I would go with the canon because of the manual over rides and better HD capabilities. Buy the Canon T2i.

  • @syberfilm im thinking about buying the canon t2i but im confused on the models i see like Canon Kiss X4 EOS 550D what is the difference between kiss x4 and eos 550D or are they the same?

  • @UrbanOutfittersLove it's the same thing, just different branding. i just bought one myself last week and i found that very confusing before ordering it. 550D EOS is in Europe, Rebel T2i is in the US and Kiss X4 is in Asia and it's exactly the same camera. hope that helps.

  • Comment removed

  • @syberfilm Canon T2i and Canon 550D is same right ??

  • @astoniz Yes, it just matters where you come from, some say T2i, some say 550D. Same thing :P

  • @plawkzer yeah ,, T2i in America,550D in europe and Kiss X4 in Japan ;D

  • @syberfilm um according to ure video nikon is better?

  • @syberfilm what about a t1i vs a D90?

this would be my first DSLR....

  • @DouglasRoller Canon t2i all the way because canon just offers better things for there cameras and there better built.

  • @DouglasRoller take go pro hd

  • @DouglasRoller dude i have a nikon d90 and my name is doug too so listen to me. get the d7000. it has manual controls and the footage is much more filmlike than any of the canon cameras. as far as stills go it blows the t2i away. btw, the nikon d90,d5000 and d300s do have manual exposure control in video mode, you can't manually enter the iso and shutter speed, but you can adjust the brightness of your image, most people just don't know how.

  • @DouglasRoller Canon Rebel T2i or Nikon D3100. But not Nikon D90 (not Full HD) ;)

  • @SimonKornowski You don't know what is full-HD but still want it, isn't it?

Sanyo makes pocket size "full-HD" camcorders for less than 150$, you might try that out and you'll get some better idea of what is full-HD.

  • nikon

  • d90 ftw

  • Nikon d90 i think is better with 18-105 VR lens, it has outstanding pic quality, plus it has a sturdy ergonomically designed body. Canon have great vid but the downside really is its smaller 'plastic' body and making it look so amature in size. Canon should have made it sturdier for ergonomic considerations. Megapixels doesn't really matter unless u wanna make billboards for living.

  • PHOTOGRAPHY - NIKON WINS

    VIDEOGRAPHY- CANON OWNS

  • @trixieification if thats the case then I wish Nikon and Canon company should Combine their product it would be CanNik.. pretty stupid though but that would be awsome! :)

  • @DerekGGG21 lol it can be cankon

  • if you didnt have any Nikon, say. Which model will you choose Canon 550d or D90, the lens i will try to get will be the Tamron 18-270mm. Im having hard, really HARD time due to the many ppl says this and say that about both brands... which will u choose? thanks!

  • I have both cameras now... If you are only doing photography.. I would say the Nikon.. If you are doing photos and wanting to use it for teh video feature.. Then Canon all the way... Canon has manual controls over all aspects of the HD video... So it is a clear winner in this regard.. But I like the pictures better from the Nikon...

  • You could cut the sexual tension with a knife.

  • LOL.... That is exactly what I was thinking while filming this..

  • @outkasst88 LMAO!

  • Look at the background: witch nikon dslr camera the green color (for example) is much more natural, I mean it's brightness :)

  • NIKON D90!!!! THE BEST! <3 _ <3

  • Im just about to buy the cannon but it comes with a 18-55 mm lens, will i still be able to get the quality you have achived here? Please respond quick man!!! Thanks

  • @ERPFilms you'll get better overall quality with the 50mm lens..if your talking about the blur, you can somewhat achieve that with the kit lense, if you open the aperture all the way up to 3.5....both lenses are priced at 100 or less...at the moment i only have both lenses..i only use the kit lense if i want a wider view or filming a person driving for example

  • in this sample nikon seems to be brighter and cooler and T2i with a orange filter

  • T2i baby yeay

  • Nikon d90 is better,, b'cos we use SLR camera for take a picture,, not for video,, if u need make a video more better use handy cam.

  • @MrSasblack d90 is only 12.3 megapixel. t2i is 18. d90 is only 720p video resolution. t2i is 1080p. over all the t2i is superior.

  • @sockNL94 i'm glad i bought one..

  • In what exact aspects is Canon 550d (T2i) better, aside from video mode? I don't see any...

  • video mode is better.. But for pictures.. I would go with the Nikon.. It kicks ass on the photo side.. We were doing this for the video only.. I have used both and like the Nikon better for photography...

  • t2i not bad for beginners movie like

  • Canon!!!!!!!!!!!! All the way baby getting my 550d tomorrow:)

  • For those considering between these two cams for video, make sure you look up footage samples that show the jello-like rolling shutter mess that the D90 produces. Static shots like this won't show it. I'm hoping the next D90 update has the rolling shutter issue resolved.

  • I recently shot a parade entirely on the T2i... here are the results....

  • Nikon D90

  • @eslamv2 are you blind?

  • @SonnOfNeil Are you? The Nikon is way better.

  • cheers! i was leaning more towards the d90 anyway. & yes if i am more interested in video it would b wise 2get a hd camcorda. lol

  • Hello again, just want to ask which of these cameras do u think is best? im doing as much research as i can to decided but i am finding it hard. I was drawn to the d90 untill i started looking more into the T2i. what are the pro's and con's between the 2? I love to film and take pictures so i want it for both. God bless.

  • @Innersightconnection

well it all depends what you want

I'd say the best thing about the t2i is Video quality and MP size.

Nikon d90, has where better picture quality and stronger build.

If you want more videos and less pictures, than a t2i is for you, (might as well buy a HD camera)

but if you want more photos but less vids than a D90 is for you.

  • @MasivSam "might as well but an hd camera..." I disagree. The depth of field and cinematic quality is much better with the t2i than say your run of the mill HD sony.

  • @MasivSam. Hi ya. I think you meant 'way better picture quality' and also 'then a t2i is for you'. I know, I know - I'm correcting grammar, but I just see 'than' mixed up with 'then' so often these days, it's driving me nuts, LOL.

  • colors are a lot richer on the t2i.
