This is very easy to do, dont need buy it, this is a RGB led with a microcontroller.

the tube is acrilic, it´s easy find it.

looks very nice on a car.

It's not average or even some advanced people can do.... makeing your own from scratch is very difficult....

I want to see if you make it.. with similar light output with the patterns....

@sersol2 This isn't "very easy" to do.. sure it's doable but programming your own light beats like this along with scanners and whatnot plus all the materials will cost you about 50% of what the website charges for all of this... to me the extra $400 is worth them doing all the services so I don't have to program a controller and what not.....

@Kegath It all depends on how you use the LED light, LED is always better than neon for light output, color, reliability, efficiency and funtionality..

If you compare neon with single color LED, LED will still have better light output..

The kis is called ICELED UFO and you can get them from a company called Litewave (Google it) they are waterproof and shock proof so I see no reason why they can't be used on offroaders.

They are leds, they draw such a low current, maybe like an amp or two... and the smallest of car batteries are rated like 40 amp hours... so you can leave it on for a day or two before it damages the battery...

oh, and im not sue if the ICE designed it or not, but there are battery voltage sensors that cut off the supply when the battery voltage drops below a certain threshold.

im in the process of making a business making leds like this, but for motorcycles.

With the newer LED and technology improving, LED's are more durable and reliable, not to mention cost effective. They are also capable of multiple colours in 1 kit.

Nothing wrong with neons either way, but they are kind of obsolete nowadays.
