@doodleorme The BMI is only so accurate. It doesn't measure fat percent nor muscle mass. Doctors only use it to measure vaguely where overweight nor underweight sick people are. BMI can't differ whether you're a bodybuilder or a 25-yearold chubby girl. It can't tell the difference between fat nor muscle, so don't worry too much :) You're 14, right? Live life and enjoy. ^_~

@BigBangElly If it's true that you're "very fat," as you gain muscle and lose fat (the fat doesn't turn into muscle, it is just used as energy), your measurements should decrease. If you gained muscle and DIDN'T lose any fat, which shouldn't happen if you decrease your caloric intake, then you'd be a "big muscle girl." Just eat less and move more, and you should be getting smaller.

Really BMI is so inaccuarte at times. I know it seems so educational and right but my brother is 5'7 and 160 lbs yet they told him he was over weight. My brother has STRETCH marks from his muscles and he eats so much it's scary so BMI doesn't really know what it's saying when it comes to people individually. It's only measuring your body mass and not your muscles too. Many football players are WELL above 200 pounds and if you checked that on a BMI it would be considered over weight.

@xtinasweetheart that you have a healthy BMI does not mean that you are fat free. But people who remain in the healthy zone of the BMI (20 - 25??) have the "longest" (ill-free) lifespan!
stomach fat is very unhealthy, but if you start exercising it is the first fat that you will lose! (no worries =p)

I am basically the same size as you in terms of height and rib cage measurement, but I weigh 50 pounds more then you. I let myself go in high school and so I've been trying to exercise more, but I hate losing weight because I lose my breasts, which are the best parts of my body. I totally agree about the losing with will make you look older part. And being darker skin WILL make you look older too..hinch too much tanning beds or being in the sun. I have a friend, she lost a good 30lbs, and it made her look like she was 50 yrs old.. it's better to tone up while you're trying to lose the weight. To reduce or avoid the saggy/flabby skin on your arms, get a set of dumbells in 3-4 lbs and do more reps. For situps/crunches, do less set but more reps (15 set; 15-20 reps)

You can get a big butt by doing butt exercises.. it's a muscle. Just because someone has a big butt doesn't mean they eat a lot. It's also genetics.

Unless you get lipo, you can't lose fat in one specific area. You have to lose fat everywhere in order to get rid of unwanted fat.

I am basically the same size as you in terms of height and rib cage measurement, but I weigh 50 pounds more then you. I let myself go in high school and so I've been trying to exercise more, but I hate losing weight because I lose my breasts, which are the best parts of my body. I like having some curves, but I am just trying to flatten my stomach and get rid of the love handles and just tone the rest of my body so it is tighter feeling. Plus I just need to get in shape to be able to run faster!

i actually feel offended when i have too many ppl reminding me how skinny i am. Makes me very emotional to a point i want to stuff my self all the time. I know ppl out there are complaining about their fat and want to lose weight. But i have an underweight problem and it makes me feel weak :(

It concerns me that a lot of these comments are about weight. Instead, it should be about girls trying to be healthier, and with eating and exercising in a healthy way comes the weight loss. I think you should be promoting self confidence and how to feel good about yourself. a lot of these girls seem so obsessed with the numbers, and that is NOT healthy.

Is there any easier exercise that can make the extra flab under your arms go away?
Oh and is there any exercise that can like make you less "wide" and more "narrower". I don't know if I'm using the correct term, but like make you more slim at the waist, ribcage, and shoulder.
& last is, is there any certain way of eating that can make your bust and behind bigger, but not make you gain too much weight on the stomach and other places.

I totally agree about the losing with will make you look older part. And being darker skin WILL make you look older too..hinch too much tanning beds or being in the sun. I have a friend, she lost a good 30lbs, and it made her look like she was 50 yrs old.. it's better to tone up while you're trying to lose the weight. To reduce or avoid the saggy/flabby skin on your arms, get a set of dumbells in 3-4 lbs and do more reps. For situps/crunches, do less set but more reps (15 set; 15-20 reps)

don't drink 2 cups of water before every meal, that would of been 16cups of water a day! believe it or not too much water can be deadly and cause water intoxication, just saying :)
