Well said. I agree with your comment regarding the word "hate". Over-used and under-appreciated. As for colorization, this looks good. The characters do not have the look of a mortician's makeup session. Film-noir colorization no!. Fred and ginger, no! Busby Berkley films, no! B&W films by art directors who didn't care, why not!
The colorization here is amazing. Unlike most people, I even enjoyed the Turner colorizations (but was aware of their limitations). This is clearly so much better. For instance, if I didn't know it was originally black and white, I may not notice the colorization. I love the sets that include both the B&W and new color versions. Thanks for the post. I'm going to have to go buy this now.
I only really put this on as I thought some people would enjoy seeing the scene as it would have been seen by the film crew and cameraman on the day it was filmed.
People don;t have to view colorized films if they do not wish and "Hate" is such a strong word that should be saved for real injustices in this sometimes unfriendly world, a world that is and has always been in colour. When you walk down the street do you see people, houses, gardens, motor cars, in black and white. No.
As much as I absolutely love and adore this movie, I hate the colorized version, it looks so much more like the classic I know it to be when it's in black and white
Sadly this was the last feature film Legend Films colorized. They now are target of conversion of 2D films to 3D, and so very busy with a lot of work.

I mainly like classic rock but the tone of Bing Crosby's voice is so beautiful

Pity it aint a bit longer, because from what I remember Bing Crosbys reaction was brilliant.

Hi , I was so taken back to see this film in colour. It is so much nicer in colour.I wish some of the other B&W musicals were colourized too.
