I've heard the majority of the tracks off the album now, I'm considerably new to U2. I'm sixteen, and they're a constant growing influence; the album is decent. The best track off the album is "White as Snow".

keep listening to them. ive onli got 1 year over you. u2 will always be my favourite band ive seen them at live8 and this year on the 360 tour. they will always b my favourite band. try listening to some of their ealier stuff as well

yeah, the sounds Edge produces are amazing! I can feel it hit my spine and squeeze my body in strange ways :D sheer poetry! reminds me of All Because Of You solo :)

I bet if people vote for the best band of all times U2 will be the one. There is nothing that even remotely compares to U2. They have always stayed at a different level, not only the music but also how they have developed over time, how much thought they put in their concerts...etc

U2 have never been mainstream JT was the closest that got to that. So the man in the street does really get U2. If 4 Aliens got left behind in a cornfield and started a band they would sound like U2. But yea they are defo one of the all time bands
