  • masterful...im gonna be a selfish fuck and say randy should have lived forever..because my ears are so greedy for how he completely controls his guitar.

  • the person that took their life listening to this song couldn't handle the greatness! You can't blame an artist for that. The parents shoulda blamed themselves!

  • 4 people suck their own dicks

  • All choked up............rip Randy

  • Wow, I was lucky enough to see this tour, if I had only known what the future would hold for one of the best guitar players to ever hold a pick. RIP Randy.........

  • Is this available on CD or I tunes any where?

  • @jkielq91 youtube-mp3 org/

Copy the URL into the bar and hit enter to get a mp3. It's going to take a while, since it does it all individually; but you will get it.

  • @jkielq91 You can buy the official Randy Rhoads Tribute album off amazon or at a music store; but if you want the unedited version (most of it) it send me an email and I will send you a link to it via megaupload.

  • I killed myself listening to this...so who can I sue? LOL

  • People try to play like Randy Rhoads but they always fall very short because they are not an extention of their guitars like Randy was.

  • DON'T GET ON THE PLANE RANDY! If I could time travel, I would go back to one hour prior to take off, take a hammer, and smash the shit out of that plane. It would never fly again when I was thru with it. Sigh...wishfull thinking.

  • @HEADBANGBALLER

i would help you smash the shit out of that plane.

infact we all would dude...we all would.

  • Just think how metal would be if RR was still with us. Imagine how much better he would be, if that's possible. All those awesome riffs that never came to be.

  • @0Heavy0Metal0

agreed...imagine every riff a master by rhandy, i guess god needed lessons eh? lol

  • @DiamondDog771 No doubt! God is sitting there with his Jackson RR3 and a Marshall stack going "ok...how does that riff go again?..."

  • What ever happened to Bats Head Soup? This sounds like it.

  • I got to see Randy with Ozzy in vancouver kerrisdale arena 1981, I was in the very front with Randy right in front of me the whole night, best night of my life musically, will never ever forget how everybody in that arena knew they were witnessing the new number one guitarist!

  • nice solo

  • no matter how good guitarists have gotten today, in terms of technical skill, for some reason we're never going to hear a solo like that again. its almost the perfect guitar solo!

  • on my birthday!randy is beyond words, what a true rockstar

  • Man, I wanted to see some clips of Randy playing a live show, all the ones that exist are bad quality and you cant see him well

  • The thing that bugs me is that this concert is on the same day that Bob Marley died.

  • @xXteknomaticXx ..really?....i'm a hard rock/metal head....but my hats off to marley...his music made you really free....

  • i wa's lucky to see RR 8-11-81 GR MI ,,,i was only 14, now i am 44, still the best show i ever saw!... and i've seen everybody! GOD-BLESS RANDY RHOADS!!

  • i wish randy could come back he was truly the best ever he will live on forever RIP

  • so this is the unedited version of suicide solution from the tribute album?

  • @axlhm Yarp.

  • Isn't this the "Bats Head Soup" L.P? All of the feedback, riffs, ect. sound exactly from there.

  • @Jacobin777 yes it is

  • the best

  • you know your on randys level when you can add scale runs in between your riffs! and still make it sound good ! beats pinch harmonics widely used in todays rock.

  • Holy shit when Randy rips into the intro it is spine chilling !!!!!!!

The best of the best man, You rule randy !!!!!!

  • 0:00 - 7:53 was my favorite part? anyone else?

  • @jacoblroark What about 7:54? He probably feels lonely too. :(

  • Ozzy and Randy were like 2 Strong Superpowers connected together, Just like Phil and Dimebag From Pantera

  • We miss you Randy!

  • ey the part between 6:02 and 6:08, of which song is? i'm sure i listened that riff somewhere.... anyone knows??

  • @ppjer

I remember hearing this on the Laughing Gas guitar solo at the Whiskey A Go-Go.

  • @ppjer I think Carlos Cavazo may have "borrowed" it and played it on the track Battle Axe from the Metal Health album.

  • @ppjer It's a slight piece of BattleAxe from

Quiet Riot's Metal Health album that Randy played

as solos in other concerts and Cavazo must have

needed to swipe as a filler/tribute to Randy

  • @ppjer I guess it is bach or beethoven but I don't know for shure

  • Comment removed

  • @ppjer its a gary moore riff from dirty fingers

  • @ppjer its part of randys suicide solution spotlight solo. if u want the tablature for it go to ultimate guitar. i learned it from there :)

  • @ppjer Sounds a bit like "Into the Void" for a second.

  • @ppjer That riff sounds like slick black cadillack from his Quiet riot days.

  • @ppjer Cliffs of Dover, Eric Johnson ?

  • @goodygoody23 Yes, this song is the tribute album, but guitar solo is not part.

  • This was recorded the day Bob Marley died.

  • Yip, Randys unreal

  • there is a documentary aboutRR in the works now.Sharon is finally releasing the footage also 4 a dvd\M/

  • @grlsyko When is this documentary coming out?

  • @grlsyko

Is Kelly Garni involved in the documentary? He was Randy's best friend. Randy had a fiance, as well.

  • This is the recording off the tribute album, right?

  • Most of the Tribute album, yes. Some of the other songs were recorded in Canada during a separate show (Goodbye to Romance, No Bone Movies, the spotlight solo) and the Dee studio out-takes.

  • @goodygoody23 Yes, this song is the tribute album, but guitar solo is not part.

  • @goodygoody23 nope its not.....never heard this before.... but its not from tribute album

  • @goodygoody23 no, the tribute is waaaaay faster recording

  • @goodygoody23 nevermind, read the description lol

  • Well guys. There are several reasons why Ozzy and Sharon agreed to never give away those tapes to the general public. Randy's mother didn't want any of the videos released. Ozzy and Sharon felt that it would be to painfull to watch and it would bring back bad bad memories.

  • for what ever reasons it should be released.

    RR lives on

  • one of them has th footage most likely sharon. its sad but probably a reason behind it. randy is the best !

  • If sharon is holding back on footage of randy rhoads why?as a fan of 29 years we need to see this footage for fuck sake,RELEASE WOMAN

  • wrong! its not about bon scott, bob daisley the original bass plyer for ozzy wrote that song about ozzys drinking! he wrote 98% of those first 2 albums, ozzy cant remember shit from back then so in his mind he thinks he probably did write it, there is a lawsuit between ozzy and daisley right now for royalties, bob daisley was the master of those first 2 albums writing wise

  • Randy auditioned when he was 19, played for ozzy when he was 20, but never signed a contract until 79', when he OFFICIALLY joined ozzy's band

  • Randy Rhoads could have possibly joined ozzy at age 79', he was 25 when he died, not 16

  • i love randy rhoads. greatest guitar player ever.

  • @Biyachkatah Randy died March 19, 1982 but you were right about his age of his death he joined Ozzy when he was 23, he was the greatest of all guitarists hes my hero.

    R.I.P. Randy Rhoads

  • The Ozzman Cometh and when he brought Randy with him, it was always a show to remember. I'm 46 and I saw Ozzy with Black Sabbath and then touring with Randy Rhodes (incredible; doesn't do him justice) then Jake E. Lee. I saw Sabbath with Dio and then with Ian Gilliam. What a lot of mind altering madness and killer rock and roll!! At one of the Ozzy shows at Providence Civic Center, the crowd just wouldn't leave. Everyone kept stamping their feet and shouting "OZZY" after 20 mins, encore 3!!!

  • This song is suppposed to be a tribute to Bon Scott

  • actually no its not, he lied about it to try to get out of being sued, bc bob daisley explained it later was about ozzy's drug addiction, it was later announced that he was not sued due to the first ammendment, the freedom of speech, but he didnt know that, he just brought that up to protect himself

  • @vatscove it might be about ozzy but in that case it is not about his drug addiction, solution is another word for beer/alcohol so i believe it is about bon scott ^^ well i dont know and i dont think i will ever know the truth for sure either :P

  • @HanoiRocks.... that could be a matter, i'm just going straight off wiki. hehe, the best part about the truth being concealed is there is lot of room for theories

  • Randy Rhoads #1

  • He was between 22 and 23 years old when he joined Ozzy.

  • possible, but maybe it isnt, i did the math, he was 22 according to wikipedia when he joined ozzy, BUT it just said 79, randy's b-day is december 6th, so its possible he was late 21

  • Yes, 16!!!

  • Please remember Randy was 16 when he joined Ozzy.

  • Even now, he sounds amazing! Just think what he was like in '81- a freekin' freak!!!

  • Its soo clean! its the exact opposite of my room! Amazing! I dont care who disagrees, Randy Rhoads is by far the greatest to ever live.

  • lol that thing is mad ghetto!

  • Yeah it is his car.

  • this isn't the same one as tribute, it's a bit better

  • thats cause the spolight solo in the tribute version is actually taken from a montreal concert

  • Yeah, I just kind of think Randy is way better unedited, which I have to assume it was slightly during the transition, but I don't know. What do you think? This or Tribute?

  • wait, this is not the same solo as the one in tribute. its a completely different concert. the one. but your right. they did edit randys solo on tribute. they slightly sped it up and put a little pause before and after the solo.

  • Your 100% right, the tribute takes out all the sweet flanger he used for the show.

  • 5:55 - 7:00 ... this guy was god...and is god..

  • Best rough draft ever always missed always in my heart I love you Randy

  • This is not the solo from the Tribute album. It is the same solo, just not as refined. And, most definitely, months before the tribute recordings.

  • this is the best guitar solo i have ever heard. That was insane..

  • Thanks, i just seen this uploaded on my front page. I miss my friend Randy but those days in 80 and 81 were one wild ride! I was proud of Ozzy for putting himself together with the help of ex assistant to Sabbath his now wife Sharon and for his pick from QR ,one of the best guitar player ever lived. - Best Regards- Thomas

  • RR sounded pretty damm good when I saw them play in 1981 at the swing auditorium in San Bernardino. June 15, 1981... Bizzard of Ozz with Motorhead!! Now that was a concert.

  • wow u r lucky to see randy rhoads

  • The solo is authentic to the show but whats the glitch im hearing right after ozzy says "this is Randy Rhoads"? Hear my vid response to this I have the actual original with no glitch.

  • I had a bootleg tape of this show when I was a kid (well before Tribute came out) and was blown away. THIS is the best RR live solo in my book. Although I do like the version that has vamp with the band also.... I always felt the Tribute solo was RR on a bad night. His tone was thin and he wasn't near as precise as this solo is.... this is him on fire and I have heard MANY of RR live solos through the years. I also saw him live when I was 11 years old.

  • lcuky :( did u tell him i <3 him?

  • agreed. i think his solo on the tribute album is the best live solo period. he blisters the fretboard !!!!

  • Oh dude, I love the solo on Tribute. It has everything that Randy ever did in it somewhere. It's almost like a compilation of his skill. And I thought it was pretty spot on. I'm still listening, so dunno how this one sounds yet though.

  • @RGN1970

From what I heard, the show in Montreal was a bad night. The band wasn't in top form, Ozzy wasn't in top form.

I'm surprised that they even put anything from that show on Tribute, especially because the Cleveland show was much, much stronger.

The sad fact is, this show, the Montreal show, a couple things done in England before Rudy and Tommy joined the band, and the After Hours TV stuff are the only pro recordings of the band with Randy. Shame.

  • "The sad fact is, this show, the Montreal show, a couple things done in England before Rudy and Tommy joined the band, and the After Hours TV stuff are the only pro recordings of the band with Randy. Shame."

    I doubt that.

I bet $haron is holding things back.

  • @readyandwaiting

I've heard that rumor, too, and it wouldn't surprise me, but according to Rudy Sarzo, who is a credible source, the only other thing that hasn't seen the light of day is some footage Entertainment Tonight shot of the Dress Rehearsal for the Diary of a Madman tour.

If Sharon is sitting on more footage/audio then shame on her, because Randy Rhoads is the best guitarist ever, and his stuff should be heard.

  • @shytownmofo ..was don costa in any of that footage from that tour..he played bass for ozzy that year in 1982 for 6months..somebody must know something of this guy..

  • @shytownmofo there has to be footage of the heavy metal holocaust show, do not know the date but have seen clips

  • @shytownmofo the majority of the tribute album was from the cleveland show. the guitar solo was dubbed from the montreal show. for suicide solution

  • you don't see love like that to today's music. r.i.p Randy

  • R.I.P. Randall William Rhoads

May the axe in the sky be a flying V!!!

From A Long-Time Fan That Misses You and Has You Immortalized In Her Mind!

    Thanks for the music, babe!!

  • Randy is Immortal in my eyes as well......my one influence to play guitar....gone before i was born.... theres really no one who could totally fill the shoes of Randy......not Zakk Wylde, Not Jake E. Lee, Not anyone!! R.I.P. Randy Rhoads, We'll all miss you!!!

  • The solo heard on Tribute is from the Montreal show.

  • Anyone understood what Ozzy said in the beginning? He always says something before introducing songs I just don't understand: "We'll do a new nummer now featuring Randy Rhoads on lead guitar...is a ????? title suicide solution."

  • We're gonna do a number now featuring Randy Rhoads on lead guitar this is a number entitled Suicide Solution...bwaaww na na na na, nana nana...

  • Wooow, thanks, haha :D I always wondered what it could mean..he says it in so many live videos/songs. (english isn't my mother tongue but I should have understood that! :D)

  • Well it probably helps that I've hear this about 10,000 times too :D

  • "it's a nummer entittled Suicide Solution..."

  • 5:24 and after is pure awesomness

  • i just jammed to that ,,what can I say RANDY FN RULES

  • I tried to look up the website but it didnt show in search results.

    d

  • google Randy Rhoads it will come up as the third one from the bottom of the first page.

  • This is from the 5/11/81show used for much of the Tribute album (minus No Bone, Goodbye- which were from late '80, the guitar solo spot, and Dee of course). I don't believe it was a King Biscuit show. There was of course the King Biscuit show from Montreal a few months later. It rocks just the same, but sounds much different than this show. I have 47 Ozzy+Randy boots and these 2 are in the top 5. I think this guitar solo is better than the one on Tribute. Fckg on fire on this one. ROCK!!!!

  • I remember the King Biscuit recording, and it was the lesser version you are reffering to... if this is the other King Biscuit recording, then it WAS released as a bootleg called Bat's Head Soup. I owned this exact concert. So I guess that means no one is wrong.

  • This is the Suicide from 81'!!!!!!!

I had this. It is the King Biscuit recording.

This is so much better than the Suicide they chose for the album. Randy sounded tired or sick on that one.

Where can I get this show on cd??

    I still miss Randy.

    d

  • Buy the Ozzy Osbourne Tribute Album bro its on there (:

  • randyrhoads(dot)tk

For Randy Rhoads, Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne related bootleg/unedited audio, video, pictures and more.

This is the greatest website I have found to date.

  • Was the car at 4:34 supposed to be Randy's???

  • Yea, that was Randy's car that he had to get around before joining Ozzy's band.

  • Tha'ts funny...however, I would've pictured him driving a sports car like a Firebird or a Camero. But I guess when you gotta take what u can get.

  • i love computer arguements.... continue....

  • Nice try.Sorry bud.I was there.

I have the sound board bootleg (easy to come by!)

    Waaaay different show.

  • the lick begining 6:20 it is so fucking fast, my brain cant analyse the notes

  • Randys Polka dot flying V neck guitar is in the Rock and roll hall of fame in Cleveland. I saw it ther about 3 weeks ago. It was the only thing related to Ozzy that i saw. Im going to try to get back there in the next couple weeks, maybe i overlooked something.

  • Jonz Bat's Head Soup was the best quality bootleg I ever heard no matter the artist. As much as I love Tribute. The quality doesn't compare. Some of Tribute was from Cleve. some from Montreal & Goodbye to Romance & No Bone Movies was done at a England Concert. You can tell Kerslake is on drums. Kerslake & Daisely never played the states w/ ozzy & randy. Daisely did on the Bark at ther moon tour.

  • R.I.P Randy Rhoads He was a great guitarist

  • this is there best song live

  • This is definitely not the tribute guitar solo.

  • Jonz I disagree...The live show this was taken from was a king biscuit show then was released.PISSED US OFF! Hoped for a new show although this was beter than the audio cassettes we had.I still have the original from the FM broadcast. And yup.....Randy smoked.

  • @bombjay2 Ozzy bit the head off the bat in Des Moines IA

  • The date and city are correct... Cleveland Ohio 1981

  • Randy's guitar work on this is NOT what you hear on Tribute... this recording was sold as a bootleg back in '83-'84 called Bats Head Soup... I owned it. Ozzy famously bit the head off of the bat at this concert. This is Randy as he should have been heard on Tribute... His tone here is insane... no body in the history of rock has EVER sounded like he does here... his playing is incredible,,,

  • Today is ・・・

  • randy was to talented for this word! i will remember his name until my last breath! RIP!

  • WOAH Randy sounds awsome and I just relized his last concert was on my birthday R.I.P

  • i have a orgasm...

  • 6:02 greatest moment in rock history

  • they didnt edit this one. If you listen to it its a completely different solo. Even if it was unedited.

  • wow just a day before he died :/

    RIP RANDY!! :( :(

  • Dang, Randy's tone is fricken amazing on here. Better than the after hours version even. Why'd they mess it up for the tribute album? Stupid people.

I have to agree with someone down there, Randy's sound on this is pretty much orgasmic.

Is he using a different effect on this one? The sound is just different.

I have to admit, some times I forget the full extent of his awesome-ness, but that at the end! That's the kind of thing that makes me believe that Randy Rhoads is the greatest ever.

  • I once read that they ran his guitar signal thru a Rat pedal and modified his tone for the tribute album. (Not sure if that's a fact)

I do know Randy used a MXR Distortion Plus in front of his Marshall amp.

  • Great stuff glad to see they improvised quite a bit back then I saw Ozzy right after Randy passed that year and the band sounded great with Bradd Gillis but not as good without Randy.

  • I actually recorded the latter part of this concert off of the local radio station (DC-101in Wash, D.C., where I'm from) in the summer of 1981 on cassette. I listened to it all the time and when the Tribute album came out, I could tell that they had modified it. The songs I recorded were the drum solo, Suicide Solution, Iron Man, Child. of the Grave, and Paranoid. I was very disappointed that they changed them so much becasue the original guitasr solo is incredible. I still have that cassette!

  • First of all, Dalsia, you are absolutely right! This is the ORIGINAL recording of this song from this concert (which is the one they used for the Tribute album). You'll notice that the guitar solo is even different becasue they added-in licks from another concert. They also "cleaned-up" the vocals and even added echos (like on Children of the Grave). I have no idea why they ever did that becasue the original recording/versions were incredible. I'll continue in another email post.

  • Dude? his tone is so much cooler here anyways, why would they edit it?

  • ¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¸„ø¤º°¨ Copy and

    ¨°º¤ø„¸RandyRhoads„ø¤º°¨ Paste if you

¸„ø¤º°¨ FOREVER! °º¤ø„¸ Think Randy Rhoads

    ¸„ø¤º°¨¸„ø¤º°¨¨°º¤ø„¸¨°º¤ Rocks!

  • Ozzy doesn't sound the same as the recording on the Tribute album here. Maybe it's just me.

  • The tribute was edited. Ozzy resang his vocals and Randy's guitar was tone was changed.

  • i have just had an orgasm. ooooooo.. omg Tandy is the best ever!

  • were you even born when this came out. i am too old to do the math. god bless, roz and ozzy

  • Yea, I was alive when this came out; I was about a week old.

You are never too young to enjoy the classics; besides, music that has been coming out lately is crap anyway. I mostly listen to 1960's, 1970's and 1980's music.

The Beatles, The Who, Rolling Stones, Greatful Dead; you know the good stuff.

  • yeah for sure when you got parents who introduce you into this kind of thing ya know and once my mom showed me randy i was like whoa this guy is amazing

  • not trying to be an ass or anything but he died on march 19th 1982 not 1981

  • 25 years later AND NO ONE CAN TOUCH THE CLASS HE HAD!

  • RIP Randy. you have inspired me to try to be as good a guitarist as you before my life ends.

  • Hey Man! Just a correction...

    He died at March 19th...1982.

  • the worst day and loss in rock history along with hendrix and vaughn

  • Vaughn, oh dear that just made me laugh

  • vaughn was a hell of a blues guitarist he deserves alot of credit he went way too early as did randy and hendrix..hendrix releases a new album next month can't wait to hear his greatness

  • ♦♦♦ kickass solo of awesomeness ♦♦♦

  • RIP randy rhoads you are still the fucking man

  • That solo is almost orgasmic.

  • what do you mean "almost"?

  • randy was sick.

  • He sure did at least Randy didnt rehash his own solos like EVH did.Randy had so many bags of tricks. One of the best I have ever heard.I am more of a Zakk fan but I love Randy and will never say one bad thing about him.Monster of a guitarist.

  • beat that EVH

    RIP RR

  • haha wierd...day i was born haha

  • this has his origional solo with out the band , not the king buscuit one they spliced in there.

  • 5:58 to 6:10 what song is that? Sounds very classical and familiar.

  • i think it's something that he made.

  • Every time i listen to his, the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, especially the solo.

I was listening to the tribute album, and this song came on, and i was hooked, then when that solo started, i played it back like a hundred times. This man made me pick up the guitar, he is the most musicaly perfect guitarist ever.I almost cried when i found out he died when i read the booklet that came with it :(. R.I.P. randy rhoads, teach god to play guitar, then blow him away :) x

  • what a solo, what a solo, Randy rocks guitar like no other

  • Dude if Randy had lived NeoClassical would have been above all other metal forms. And Randy would be known as the best ever.
