  • Thank you for the beautiful pictures. My country, my life, my destiny.

  • It went from one of the great names, Upper Volta, to one of the least attractive, Burkina Faso. What good did the name change do? Answer: 'less than zero'.

    Boo-Boo "The See" Il'Dee

  • You fucking retarded! What does "Upper Volta" mean. Nothing! It is a name imposed by imperialists. "Burkina Faso" is the name of the country. We did not choose it tp please someone or fulfil the imagination of one's fantasy. It is because of the meaning it carries. I hate comments like yours. I hate it. People who do not understand anything about our culture and who permit themselves to mock it. I'll catch you.

  • Another terroristic threat; only you're in the U.S. and you will go to jail.

  • it is a threat. It is just a reaction to someone who made mocking comments about the name of a country. You guys are sticking the title of terrorist to people who are not. Defending my country is not an act of terrorism, but mocking the name of a country is. I am in the US by the way, in case you do not know.

  • You see! Nobody brought the US in the talk. It is about Burkina Faso. I am well living in the US for more than 20 years. So, I am in the US. Come get me and bring me to jail. that is what I am waiting for. As you are powerful to bring to jail. Come do it. I am looking forward to such thing. You'll understand.

  • Thanxx for making the U.S. a better place; Upper Volta misses you, no doubt.

  • I miss Burkina Faso. I am not in the game of opposing countries. Thomas Sankara said: The U.S is a great country but Burkina Faso is another one. All I know is that there I can breathe some fresh air, eat some fresh food, drink some fresh Banji, ride in the street of Ouagadougou and Bobo Dioulasso.

  • This is beautiful. I lived in Yako, Burkina Faso for 2 months and lived and worked in an orphanage there. Two of the best months of my life, wish at times that I would have cherished it more. Cannot wait to go back! Where were you at?

  • You worked at the orphanage in Yako? Did you know Lynn and Ruth? We somehow seemed to meet up with them every time we were in Ouagadougou.

  • Some just don't get it. This is a great video, very inspiring. The world is a better place for people like u.

  • heartwarming. some great photographs in there, i bet it was a life changing experience. id love to travel to an exotic country someday whether it be for volunteer work or not, but it is so expensive

  • Superb video, really conveys to the viewer the atmosphere and spirit of the place. The only thing it can't do is give us an idea of the ridiculous heat that goes with such countries :-)

  • Amazing video. When seeing it the first time, I cried. Only people like me who have already been to africa and really experienced the spirit, faith and hope can understand these feelings that remain when coming back home. Your videos are great! Much love

  • Really enjoyed the video..Each individual on life's road CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE if he/she chooses to!

  • All you gang bangin' boneheads out there take a look at this couple. They are young and traveling the world. Doing something with their lives. Get up, get off and get out there. Rag on me all you want, I applaud these two. Knowledge is power, get some.

  • Great photographs. Each one tells a story. I loved it. Why did you go there?

  • We went originally to help some friends in an orphanage, but ended up moving to another town to teach in a very small elementary school. I think about our six months there every day.

  • uyy tan bonitos que se ven los negritos al lado de los gringos...
