cigarettes and alcohol get more people sick or killed than pot does

my point was that kids using pot normally will get into deeper trouble than not using it, the same is true for alcohol. but we do not let our kids drink

A "cure" is a subjective term but in the context of cancer can be regarded as something that reduce the tumor cell mass by 100% with a 0% chance of remission. I agree that there should be reasonable limits to advertising, but last I checked pharmaceutical companies have been significantly restricted. I am not aware of any company that allows for lavish trips or opera tickets anymore (however, I do know of plenty of non-pharmaceutical companies that do practice this to sell their products).
