Hahaha! Oh I'm STILL laughing! This was absolutely fantastic! Yet another perfect example as to how Betty was such an under appreciated talent! God, I love her!
Wow! Like watching a Mad Magazine comic come to life. This whole movie ("Red, Hot, and Blue") is full of great Betty Hutton numbers, and it's all wonderful, silly fun.
The '30s and '40s were the heyday of musicals and screwball comedy and Hollywood knew how to make movies for pure entertainment value.Over the years we've lost the ability to make people laugh without resorting to gross out humor or insults or appealing to the worst in human nature. Sad.
"And the name of this omelette is "Hamlet"! One of my very favorite clips from a very entertaining movie. The songs were written by the great Frank Loesser.

"I'll run him through!"
"Run him through Pittsburgh, he's got relatives there."
Ah, there's nothing like the classics. :)

I had a feeling Betty's version of Shakespeare would differ somewhat from the more traditional renderings... :-D
