One hellaciously sexy lady, and one unbelievable band! Unfortunately, I've heard her CDs and her voice, while good, is unremarkable. The emphasis on her albums appears to be on her undeniable sex appeal. And no, jc4jc777, I am not musically challenged - I am a guitarist of over 35 years standing. The band is worthy of all the praise they've received over the years, but I'd rather hear Angela Strehli, Tracy Nelson, Marcia Ball or Lou Ann Barton fronting them.

dillonmrtn, try Lavay's album, Everybody's Talkin' Bout Miss Thing. Great stuff. This isn't a great recording here.

In all honesty, I'm sure Ms. Lavay is a nice person, but I really don't understand why people think she is so good. To me it is so clear on this video that her voice is mediocre. She has no rhythm and doesn't look exciting to see at all. She's also off beat. I felt compelled to say this because I'm tired of paying to see crappy music at places that try and call themselves professional music venues and I'm tired of paying to see musicians who are somehow getting credit where credit is not due.

Dynamite singer and band, caught them at Biscuits and Blues in SF last year. And as for licking her "red hot skillet," I'd LOVE...well, never mind!
