On Sims 3 you have also a weird option.

When your female sim and male husband sim are lying on bed, and your female sims is your active and 1 day pregnant you can click on the male husband sim and then you can click on the option "Ask baby Gender" or something like that.

But what you can do with that option, I never saw anything happend ??
