  • i just saw this.....like an hour ago. it was amazing

  • Impressionante realmente dá gosto de ver !

  • I feel like I have major bragging rights. Alan Scarrif and Kieran Hardiman, the supporting male role, are the teachers at our Irish stepdance school in Salt Lake City, Utah. Watching this makes me feel so lucky.

  • I have never seen these two lead dancers. Thanks for that video, it was fantastic!

  • Alan Scariff was the male lead dancer when I seen Riverdance here Milwaukee, WI in February of 2011. Alan Scariff was a shear delight to watch as he danced his heart out!

  • Waaaaaahnsinnnn........

  • Digno de ver y admirar sincronizacion perfecta!!!

  • Bonjour :D

  • awsome it was a perfekt of irish dance

  • woooo!!! q Genial Arriba los bailes Irlandeses!!

  • Alright, I've no idea why my brain has done this, but it has interpreted the red dancers as Canadian Mounties and the men in black as American mobsters.... riverdancing together... Why does my brain do these things to me?

  • i love alana. shes such a great dancer and really nice too

  • real Harmony

  • HOLY FUCK

  • So sweet nylon-legs ;*

  • its not as grand with such a small band/stage/company. what theater was this? it looks wee.

  • hey thats me on the end im the dude in the black lol on the right

  • on the far right?

  • i love it when they go down the line with the taps.

  • Super tare

  • who are the leads?

  • the people in the title! well someones not very bright now are we laddy!

  • That would be Alana Mallon & Alan Scariff!

  • MY EARS!!!

  • hoooooooooo my gad

  • What talent!

  • Good try!!

    Keep up bodies :o)

    Music could be improved...

    Thanks for this great job.

    Prof. CoucouMeme

  • Not bad but .... moved head etc ...arms ets...look at irish

  • Bad quality....... Probably good though.... sorry

  • bad bad quality this sucks ass

  • This is the Original riverdance, it has always been the same show.

So according to you they have not to smile, there has to be no lighting effects and they should wear different shoes to change the tapping noise coming from their feet. and what outfits do you think would suit them better, are you Ralph Lauren!!have you ever heard of riverdance before or did you just stumble upon this video by accident and decide to make pointless remarks

  • Not the original Riverdance, and the show has underwent changes over the years.

  • so what is this then, is this riverdance 2?

its still the same show, same producers, same music, some parts of the show have been removed and there has been slight changes to costumes but that doesn't mean it is not the original Riverdance

  • So if this is "the original riverdance" then what were people sitting at back at the Point in Dublin on February 5th, 1995?

  • sorry i forgot, riverdance was only shown on 5th feb 1995 everything after that is not riverdance

  • I'm don't even have anything to say to that comment as it is so incredibly foolish. I'm glad you love Riverdance, and I guess when it comes down to it that's all that really matters!

  • This doesn't show what the show is like to see it LIVE. it is through a video camera and made to fit on youtube where the quality is low. It doesn't show the colours of the stage correctly or the backdrop or costumes, it is also zoomed in on a small part of the show so you don't get the big picture, ie the band the crowd and the atmosphere. the sound is also very very bad quality plus you are listening to it through pc speakers. Watch it Live, it is amazing, then write a comment on here.

  • That stage is too small.

Riverdance is starting to look cheap.

  • I don't know what's with the thumbs down on Sonya's comment- this person is just stating their oppinion. One thing that makes the stage look smaller is that eventually Riverdance starting putting the band on stage to accomodate smaller venues- it used to be a stage extension in the audience. As someone that has been following the show, I don't really care for the new stage design at all. I wouldn't say it looks cheap, just too showy. I prefer the originality of Riverdance by far.

  • someone posted a comment about the costumes, and they couldn't be more right. remember the glory days of Jean Butler's elegant leotards? especially the black one for Riverdance? and no tiara? now we have that stupid green monstrosity and, of course, the tiara. however, i do like the costumes for American Wake and Oscail An Doras.

that being said, i like Alana Mallon. she's got very powerful legs and i like the attitude she brings to her dances.

  • wow Alan Scariff and Alana Mallon are brillant leads i love them guy s

  • what kind of dance is it?

    mixture of tap and irish?

  • it's Irish... there are two genre... soft shoe and hard shoe... the hard shoe is a pre curser to tap.

  • Riverdance has seen better days...

  • I couldn't agree more!

  • I agree, and anyone who has truly been following the show knows what that means. Thumbs DOWN to the thumbs down.

  • かっこい~

  • Trust me, this isn't tacky. Have you seen the outfits and dances from Feet of Flames Live at Budhapest?

  • I know, right? It's like they're trying to be Michael Flatley ripoffs! Weird...

  • This is so wrong in so many ways.

  • I mean the dancing, not your comment!

    :-D

  • My sister is in that..=]=]=]

  • Where was this filmes, I saw Corrib in Bristol, and danced with them in a rehearsal :)

  • Wow, I always wanted to dance with them. This is so great !

The video was filmed in Bielefeld, Germany.

  • Wow Alan Scariff and Alana Mallon are terrific Lead Dancers

  • This is great!!

  • Thats My Cousin Alan
