I must say that for a non big budget movie it looks like a lot of fun. Yes, its corny and cheesy, but there is love there. To everyone who says they'd like to see a Scary Movie version, I wouldn't pay to see it nor would I watch it on cable. I saw how Epic Movie treated a lot of my favorite films and it disgusted me, more than made me laugh. This is different in that not only are you combining 7 books, but relating it to our world. I'm looking forward to seeing this film.

It doesn't look fabulous, but it looks quite good considering. Considering what, you might ask? Considering the fact that this is a very small operation - of course a 'Scary Movie' version would look loads better. But it would also suck.

At the very least, you can definitely tell that this movie is being made by people with a great love for the books, and a spark of cleverness about them. I particularly liked the "hortexes" bit.

I used to have a sense of humor, but sadly, after watching this preview it went into cardiac arrest and died. You're are right though, I could never pull something like this off. Film making is terribly difficult work. This, of course, is why I am not a film maker and why I never engender criticism for my film making abilities.
