In Karpi's defense...I don't think the Russians ever taught their players how to fight on the ice, and it's pretty evident here.....but kudo's to Karpi for guttin it out. Warrior. And one of four of the first Russians to win the Stanely Cup with the New York Rangers.
I saw Karpotsev play a lot when he was on the Leafs, and saw him fight Chris Simon and Eric Lindros. He wasn't the greatest fighter, but I couldn't help but admire him for not backing down against a couple heavy weights. He was also pretty solid defensively.

Great fight, very open one.
Marshall didn't land all of his punches.
Karpo landed better of his own.
He ended up pretty well, landing a big shot.
I had call this one DRAW.
