Ok to clear up any confusion, the beginning and end parts of the chant is actually an Indian technique known as "Pandhant", which is used primarily in a form of Indian dance known as Kathak. The reciter uses "bols" (rhythmic words), in Al's case he was saying something like "dha dhe dhi na". I won't even try to spell out the rest of it, because he was going really fast. As a Hindu, and a huge Al fan, I have the utmost respect for him for pulling that off.
