  • I think I had a pantsuit in the 70's with the same material that Michael's clothes are made with.

My mother made it. It was ugly.

  • Nice Movies

  • Wow! They were doing those dances!!!

  • My question is, why did they they wait for Michael to die before they started releasing all these old videos? Im one of the biggest fans of the Jackson 5 and I've never seen half the videos that are now posted. I feel kinda ROBBED, but mostly saddened that i did'nt experence these videos years ago. This preformance blew me away! I mean im almost moved to tears... :'( This page is bookmarked 4ever!!!

  • @Otteto I posted this way before 2009! I even posted it already in 2007 but my channel got deleted twice so I had to upload it all over again!

  • I love how they shake their heads too, just like three happy birds, this just made my day..I miss you soooooo much , Michael!!!

  • i love how they shake their heads :)

  • Oh man, this is awesome. I wish I was around back then for this stuff. :( That boy is singing his heart out.

  • I cry all to the end I miss the old days. Its was better cause there was no hate for Micheal than. But if the younger generation knew Micheal like this it would be different. They see he was human up until his death.

  • @bitemechit I am sooo glad I was around these shows came on. When the J5 came on the scene, everytime they came on, we would make it an event...fix popcorn, and all. LOL. I sure is nice to be a part of this music history. RIP MJ.

  • @bitemechit did u no him personally or something?

  • @bitemechit

yeah, good old days. I miss Michael so much.

  • @bitemechit One of my friend's children saw my cd's laying on the front seat of my car and asked what was it??? lol

Her grandmother, who is around my age looked nostalgic and said that she hated it that her grandkids will never enjoy the things that we did.

I can't seem to settle down enough to favorite any era for some reason. It's odd I guess.

  • This is the alternate unrelesed version of Never Can Say Goodbye. They used to perform this version at some of their live performances.

  • I remember thinking how skinny they all were. But then they worked awful schedules. . .

  • 70's flashback

  • never can say goodbye to michael

  • I have never seen an audience who wouldn't even clap their hands, just sitting there, maybe because it was the period of the 70's and people were afraid to show their emotions. Very different from today, especially since Michael was a sensitive soul, who needed to feel their energy when he performed he even express it on several other interviews.

  • Michael's talent was a blessing and a curse. What shame, poor guy.

  • I did get less noticeable that Jackie was so much older than Michael and Marlon by the time of their variety show, but yeah at first it must have been quite interesting being so much taller and older than the leader singer eh? Its amazing Tito didn't slam his guitar on accident into Marlon when they did that walk, twist, walk bit. I dug the syncronized dance they all did, Michael comes in perfectly with them all then goes off singing, he had mad skills that boy.

  • I'll bet Tito's guitar did slam into Marlon in the process of "working it out."

By all accounts, the dancing and singing didn't come as easily to Marlon...but he worked, worked, and worked to keep up. That's why I love him best. :-)

  • Yup... Jackie and Mike were better natural dancers, but Marlon worked the hardest and he turned into a damn good dancer!

  • I'm old enough to remember seeing these original shows. But imagine not being able to see them for 30+ years, and then suddenly, here they all are again, to watch as much as I want! Thank God for YouTube and all the posters. (But I wish I could get a DVD with all these old shows.)

  • I Love the Flip wilson show, he was so funny and the Jackson 5 made it better

Michael you will be remebered and loved always no matter what they say about you

  • Gotta love his voice, Almost feel sad that I couldn't have been born earlier to be able to experience this in real life :O

  • I feel sorry for Jackie coz he's so old compared to everyone else and they've got him doing those head movements. :D

  • lol he's old compared to michael but if u think about it hes only 2 years older then tito and 3 years older than jermaine. so he's only old compared to marlon and michael. but i understand ur point

  • His stage presence was amaizing even way back when.... Look at his body movements here he could feel the beat and move exactly as it moved! AMAIZING!!

  • it sux cos i ws born way aftr these...:(:(...thnk god thy invntd youtube!!!!!!!

  • yh it does

  • i knw!!!!! hehe...tht ws funny!!!!

  • aww..cute..he was sooo talented

  • MJ's 1000-watt smile makes me melt.

  • It was a wonderful time being raised as a child in the 60's and 70's. Black entertainers were developing their own style and brand of music. Motown's influence brought "our" music to main stream America and World Wide. It was very exciting to see groups like The Temps, The Dells, The Four Tops, and of course The Jackson 5. Their signiture was their "harmonizing" and "dance moves" that made them stand above the rest. And Micheal said it "he really did learn from the best in the business."

  • wow michael is so skinny. i miss him :(

  • OMG...I'm luv the lil waist movement at 0:55

  • lol luv it

    luk at 2.49 too x

  • The lyrics for this song is like selling exactly how I feel about Michaels Death.

  • i love how flip wilson try bother micheal and micheal is like no one mess with me, i found that so funny and beautiful,it crack me up.

  • man sometimes I wish I was alive back then to see all of this stuff...that was some good music back then...I feel like I should have been born in this era so I could experience The Jackson 5 and their amazingness :)

  • omg that is exactly how i feel. i sometimes wish i was born in 1975 rather than 1995.. music back then (ESPECIALLY michael jackson and the j5) is soooooo much better than this so called music today.

  • omg.. me too

I wish I the same age I am now (14)

but in the times of the Jackson 5.

Instead of 1994 where good music was dying down. Now im tortured with Disney channel singers and bad acting :'(

I WAS BORN IN THE WRONG TIMEEE

  • some times i feel like i was born at the wrong time to i would have loved to have grown up in the 70s and 60s thats when music was real and acting was really good! Nowadays i find my self listing to micheal jackson and all the old stuff because thats when music wasnt all about sex and money like it is now!and the boys were really sexy lol i also feel like mikes death opened my eyes and im only 13 but hey...

  • lol woww i thought i was the only person that felt that way.. =D

  • i soooo was born toooo late

so saddedn by sudden death luv him R.I.PXXX

  • I know!!! I was born in '93 and I feel like I missed out on a lot. music from the 70's is what I call awesome music!! I don't know why they call some of the stuff that comes out today music lol. and anything and everything Michael Jackson is amazing. I wish I was born so I could experience more of him in his prime :(

  • lol like i said i didnt know so many people my age felt the same way as me. the "music" today doesnt hold a candle to music from back in the day.. you know what? call me crazy but i think the REAL MUSIC lovers(i.e. me, sdiawaku, iluvsjaee and deannasowhat and others) should invent a time machine... =D

  • lol yeah!! that would be amazing!!

  • lol TOTALLY! =)

  • I was thinking the very same thing. I use to watch this show every week and I don't remember the Jackson 5 ever being on. YT is rich in history for people to look up the past.

  • Comment removed

  • wheen was ths?

  • 1987 omg don't you rememberz

  • This was from 1971. I actually remember this from Flip Wilson's show!

  • Very good ending!!

  • Look at him.... a master at that age. You do not often get a master to apreciate your whole life.... Recognise greatness people. I do.

  • Great comment, this guy was soo great as a kid, I mean, i used to "drink the kool aid" and think dude was overratted, but I know now that he was like a musical protege, as a kid he was probably one of the best performers of the era, an his musical interpertation to this day is uncanny, not one of my favorite like vocal tones, but he can to this day sang an make great songs, think about it man in the mirror butterflies, i mean come on,definitley a one of a kind talent,

    100% agree with ur post

  • I respect Michael.... and that's all that matters....

  • Can't get enough of that move they did at 0:54-0:59. That was sweet.

  • michael jackson has done so much for the music industry. he gets no respect! he is the king of pop

  • so what if they're lip synching. A lot of artists had to do that. It still didn't take away from the fact that they had true talent.

  • Too bad they're not lip syncing.

  • You gotta be smokin' some pretty powerful shit if you think Michael Jackson doesn't have "true talent." You don't have to be a fan, but talent like his is undeniable.

  • you have to think of the times....most of the artists back then were lip synching when they appeared on TV.

  • Mike is DEFINITELY not lip synching this song. The backgrounds might be synched but NOT this lead. The J5 did do some lip synch performances, but ALOT of their gigs were live, cuz often you'd see mike grab the microphone and you'd hear the static when he did it. Plus, this version is totally different than the recorded one....
