I applied recently.. I put photopass as my first choice.. probably not going to get it and they will put me on food service or something.. agh :/ But it looks like you had a great time, i'm still thinking if I will go or not if I get into a bad position...

the DCP is an amazing experience as you can see! regardless of the roles given i think you should still do it so you have no regrets ;)

Hey, so I was just wondering, based on your video description, would you recommend this program? On one hand you seemed to hate it, on the other you seemed to love it. How long are the shifts? Why do you hate the program? I'm just asking because the community college I'm going to go to is one of the colleges the disney people come to to look for people for this program, and it sounds really cool. Is it worth it to go to Florida for a while from NY? Thanks for your cool video :)

The program teaches you life lessons that allow you to mature further. the shifts and experience are a reflections of what park you work at and what role you play with the company during your program. everyone leaves with different results and would either recommend it or not. I had lots of fun despite the downsides I put in the description tab so I recommend it. Other people will say different. in the end the CP is what you make of it :)

hmmm my ONLY advice is that when it comes to people talking about their own experiences with the college program, you have to remember that it's their own experience. people usually take advice or opinions from others past experience and apply it to themselves.

during your college program, go with the flow be outgoing, meet a lot of new people and have fun with it.

create your own experience : )

Based on your experience in the program, what would you say is the best department to work in? I've been accepted for Spring 2012 for merchandise and I'm hearing a lot of mixed opinions...

the positions i would avoid is custodial, quick service food and beverage, merchandise and lastly attractions

they need the most college program kids for those spots and their not exactly "desired" but some people like them and others dont it just really depends on your personality, who you work with, and what you make of the situation your in

Besides my days off (when I was really too tired to even do anything), my time in the college program was the worst 5 months of my life. That company has shown me the face behind the mask that it presents to all the people who give it money. Because of my time, I can never go back, even as a guest. If I had the supplies, I'd level the entire property (no casualties, but just make the place unable to be walked upon ever again).

I worked 60+ hours a week and that's not including holidays so i know how you feel, but ultimately I loved it :] its a lot of work but in my opinion it comes with the territory considering how popular the place is

during the program I had an Olympus e-420, then upgraded to the Nikon D3100 with the kit lens, now I got a D7000 haha, D3100 is a great Disney camera when I was down there :D

I got started by just getting a letter in my mail box at school telling me about an informational meeting so I went and they def got me interested, rest is history as most people say lol

I highly recommend it though :D

honestly just treat it as a interview, stay professional and smile the whole time, if you smile while your on the phone you give off this positive vibe through your voice, My recruiter told me to do that and hey well you can see what happened as a result :)

there isn't much else to say but DONT ever think it, just go with the flow :D
