I've grown a liking to this episode. I didn't like it at first, but I think it's decent now. I hate how Thomas kept repeating the same rhyme over and over again, but I like the opening scenes and thought it was humorous how Percy went cross-eyed when he got splattered with snow. It's not the best ep, but it's not the worst either. It's decent.

i preferred the narrated stories, and also, this show has become too kid friendly. in the old eps they weren't afraid to throw in the occasional chase. crash or scare, but this pales in comparison.

@MrMagicMovies I don't think CGI is bad as I have liked Hero of the rails, The lion of Sodor, Tickled Pink, buzzy Bees, James in the dark, Diesel's Special delivery, Victor says yes, Misty Island Rescue, o the indignity and Spencer the grand, but I wish Donald and Douglas, Oliver, Kelly, Narrow gauge engines, Billy and all the other forgotten characters were in it.

It would be good if they made references to old episodes like Thomas Terrance and the Snow or even made flash backs with CGI or with the original pictures with the models. Here is 1 more idea, they could put engine cameos in the background. Engines that haven't been seen like BoCo and Duck or Oliver.

I think if the stories are getting stale, they should maybe remake the old model series. The model series will always be better, but the things they could do with it, making it grander, would actually look cool

This may not have been the best series but it wasn't the worst. I thought it was better than Series 13. We had a load of new characters, Bertie had his first speaking role in the CGI series and Butch had his first ever speaking roll in T&F history. Now we have to wait till September for DOTD and then till October for Series 16 which will finally have the narrow gauge engines :)

This one was reminisant of Snow Engine somhow when you watch the episode. Flynn Cameod once again.its a little early for christmas, but who cares right? Overall this one is WAY BETTER THAN THE LAST ONE!!!!!!!

@ThomasPercyandToby2 - he's actually doing the right thing. If you have legitimate concerns, voice them. The "more important and serious things" argument can be applied to everything. As long as you treat each with equal measures of attention, there is no reason why he can't do both.

when thomas said" i know all about snow" i just sighed and narrowed my eyes. oh great another predictable does something wrong in 3 strikes and gets it right on fourth. awful even a child can predict theese episodes HIT do you realise that. it is really getting annoying and the rhyming just makes it worse. theese pathetic attempts of a storyline just put me off watching the rest of the series.

Thing is, if this is the highlight of the season, how bad does a season have to be initially?

This was the best of an absolutely atrocious season so far. That's still not saying much. Same problems, same routine. Less dangerous (!)

The twelve tankers and the brakevan was something of a relief. Longer passenger trains have been seen this season as it's progressed. Seems to be a phasing in of actual trains, but sadly only in the background or transitional shots.

@simierski T&F isn't really about trains anymore :P It's more about arrogant characters who look like engines and act like childern. I long for the days when the series was about railway operations and hard working locomotives. even in s5, they hired a railway consultant and the stories were fairly realistic. During season 6 and 7 Thomas and friends lost that RWS feeling.

I am sure that if the next 2 seasons don't show any improvement, Our little blue friend won't be around much longer...

I must say I AM surprised- CHRISTMAS lights, not WINTER HOLIDAY LIGHTS!!! Sadly, it was for just a tree, not lights everywhere like earlier in the series...

Could be better I guess, but at least no "three mistakes", just three passes. Why was Flynn on the rails when not needed? Surely he should be shedded or on the road?

@therailwayinspector3 answer to Flynn in case you don't know how he goes on the rails he has there four small wheels that lowers from the inside and the whole body rises up and allows him to go on the rails or for why he passed the town square maybe there was a fire and he was on his way back to the rescue center

Not a bad episode, a vast improvement on the last two, but that's not saying much. There's still the same rhyming, alliterations and things done in threes, but I think the beauty of Sodor under a blanket of snow made up for it.

A generous 6/10 from me.
