I think there are two aspects of Mr Agha Khan's life connected to people; one is his contribution towards the poor and under privileged, other is being an Imam.

@sammughal79 i dont think there is alcohol in the lodges, but the islamabad,quetta & swat serenas do have "pool bar" .If you really want to verify go there and check or call them. Thier website has the numbers serenahotels (dot) com. I am aware pakistan is not a muslim country, it is nowhere close to islam, but aga khan is not either.

Islam is about following the Quran and Sunnah. That means pray how the Prophet (SAW) prayed, do Hajj, zakaat of 2.5% etc etc. No one has the authority to overule a Prophet (SAW). In short, at least thirty of leading Sunni ulema have written in their authentic books and in their own commentaries that this holy verse was revealed on the day of Ghadir-e-Khum in regard to Amirul-Muminin Ali. Therefore the issue in question was surely the matter of the imamate, the conferring of authority on one who would guide the people according to the tenets of Islam after the death of the Holy Prophet and thereafter .
Qazi Fazl in Kash Ghumma gives a very different report from Razi Bin Abdullah: In the days of Holy Prophet we used to read this verse thus: Oh our Prophet (Muhammad) deliver what has been sent down to you from your Lord, that is Ali is the master of the believers. If you do not, then you have not delivered His message.
Oh Prophet of Allah! Deliver what has been sent down to you from your Lord about Alis wilaya (vicegerency) and his being master of the believers.
Even the words of 'Umar ibn al-Khattāb are interesting. He congratulated Imam 'Ali in these words: "Congratulations, O son of Abu Tālib, this morning you became mawla of every believing man and woman." If "mawla" meant "friend" then why the congratulations?
Was 'Ali an 'enemy' of all believing men and women before the day of Ghadir?
These immediate contexts make it very clear that the Prophet was talking about a comprehensive authority that 'Ali has over the Muslims ..
The evidence proves that the meaning of the term "mawla" in hadíth of Ghadír is not "friend" but "master, patron, lord, or leader"....and so one who has this authority is divinely guided !
Hassān ibn Thābit has understood the term "mawla" in the meaning of "Imam and Guide" which clearly proves that the Prophet was talking about his successor, and that he was not introducing 'Ali as a "friend" but as a "leader".
Ammar bin Yasir relates: Once I passed through a valley with Ali bin Abu Talib, where we saw a tremendous heap of the ants. I asked, "Is there any one who can count these ants?"
Ali said, "Verily, I can show a person who can count them and knows even their genders."
I asked, "Who is that person?" Ali said, "Did you not read the chapter of Yasin in the Koran, containing the verse

It was not possible to accommodate all of his invitations so he said stated, "All of those that would like to do my "Mehamani" (offerings), please bring whatever you would like to give me to the Mosque." ...and so Ismailis have maintained this Prophetic tradition until now as the JK is the house of the Prophet and his family and so they take the offerings to the Prophet to his house.

Thier website has the numbers serenahotels (dot) com. I am aware pakistan is not a muslim country, it is nowhere close to islam, but aga khan is not either.

Islam is about following the Quran and Sunnah. That means pray how the Prophet (SAW) prayed, do Hajj, zakaat of 2.5% etc etc. No one has the authority to overule a Prophet (SAW). All the Ahle Bayt followed the Prophet (SAW). The so called last few of them, drink, gamble, marry non muslim women etc, is this the way of the Prophet (SAW) and the true Imams (AS)? Read the Quran and learn to follow the Prophet (SAW) and not Aga khan or anyone else who claims to be a true follower but is not!

The Holy Prophet used horses to great effect in the holy wars.
They proved faster and more maneuverable than camels.

It was essential to the completion of Prophet hood itself. Qazi Fazl in Kash Ghumma gives a very different report from Razi Bin Abdullah: In the days of Holy Prophet we used to read this verse thus: Oh our Prophet (Muhammad) deliver what has been sent down to you from your Lord, that is Ali is the master of the believers. If you do not, then you have not delivered His message.
Oh Prophet of Allah! Deliver what has been sent down to you from your Lord about Alis wilaya (vicegerency) and his being master of the believers.

Even the words of 'Umar ibn al-Khattāb are interesting. He congratulated Imam 'Ali in these words: "Congratulations, O son of Abu Tālib, this morning you became mawla of every believing man and woman." If "mawla" meant "friend" then why the congratulations?
Was 'Ali an 'enemy' of all believing men and women before the day of Ghadir?
These immediate contexts make it very clear that the Prophet was talking about a comprehensive authority that 'Ali has over the Muslims ..

The evidence proves that the meaning of the term "mawla" in hadíth of Ghadír is not "friend" but "master, patron, lord, or leader"....and so one who has this authority is divinely guided !
Hassān ibn Thābit has understood the term "mawla" in the meaning of "Imam and Guide" which clearly proves that the Prophet was talking about his successor, and that he was not introducing 'Ali as a "friend" but as a "leader".

Prophet (SAW) was migrating from Mecca to Medina and had numerous requests to eat and rest at people's homes.
It was not possible to accommodate all of his invitations so he said stated, "All of those that would like to do my "Mehamani" (offerings), please bring whatever you would like to give me to the Mosque." ...and so Ismailis have maintained this Prophetic tradition until now as the JK is the house of the Prophet and his family and so they take the offerings to the Prophet to his house.

actually it doesnt say to adore him, but it does mention the Imam, and follow his guidance. This is the Imam that the Quran talks about, he spends his entire life on gaining more and more knowledge on our religion. He is a muslim like everyone else, and he is changing a few things that many of the kafir ismaili's completely misinterpreted. He does want us to fast, and to do Hajj, and to give charity, and to learn the Namaaz, and start praying that prayer instead of the Dua.

Our Imam says "Insha Allah" all the time. He is the blood descendent of Prophet Muhommad, P.B.U.H. But he is not a prophet. In the Quran it speaks of an Imam that will be with us to guide us towards following our religion accurately and not to fall astray like the Christians and the Catholics, Jews, etc... have all fallen.
