i would have got the MR because honestly i believe their paddle shifting is faster then 99% of the people who are shifting out there. but stick would be a bit more fun to drive.

From what I understand u cant do the same type of upgrades to the MR that you can do to the GSR. Also it is cheaper to do the upgrades to the GSR. So from the factory it may be a bit more fun to drive and over all faster because of the paddle shifting but lets keep in mind......its an Evo. If you buy one and leave it stock,..you dont deserve to be in the Evo circuit. No one leaves an Evo un touched, that would just be insane. Its like marrying Eva Longoria and not having sex with her. lol

from what you understand. there are several companies developing parts for the MR. its EASIER to develop parts for the gsr but the only thing really different in developing for GSR and MR are things dealing with transmission i believe.  cold air/cams/turbos/exhaust/head porting/etc. should all relatively be the same. so all in all the MR has more promising potential due to the insanely fast shift times of .1-.3 seconds per gear.how many people do you know that can shift that fast.

Ur right, that shifting is sick. Im not sure what the differences are when itcomes to upgrades. I Just know at the time I went to purchase mines this time last year, I look into some upgrades 1st and everything said not compatable with MR. So I looked into some forums and everyone was complaining that you couldnt do somethings to the MR that you can do to the GSR. Im not sure what upgrades they were talking about though, it was a lil over a year ago. So thats what kinda of steared me away. :-(

@biggredd3 My My how things change in a years time. MR has turned out to be able to handle massive power upgrades. A lot of people were downing playing the MR SST and hatin on it but now its like ugh-oh.. Little brother aint so little anymore.

before i bought my X i was actually considering the 400hp beast, after the test drive i concluded Evo was the way to go! Now i say fuck Gto's as my modded evo X just rips them a new one

Thats Ironic, i was on the same boat. I actually considered a GTO before I got my X. Since they stopped making them I considered the new Camaro for about a day, then that was pushed back. I finally went to test drive the X and I bought it that same day. My 1st turbo car, took me a second to get the hang of launching it etc. Went through the factory clutch at 4k miles. Now Launching like a rocket and all modded up. Running low and mid 12's.

Post the video. Here is my proof. Still got the time slip also princess. You can be internet tuff all day. Doesnt bother me. I know my car and so does the rest of the world. Its evident that this video touches a soft spot on you. Yes I admit my reaction time sucked on this race. Its my first turbo car and this video is when I was learning. That was then. Simple fact is, a gto is not faster than a evo. Take a vote. We understand u have a gto. Doesnt mean u have to be a hater.

what are you on to believe a stock evo is faster than a stock gto ?? you wanna talk numbers?? evo x runs a mid to high 13 stock while the gto runs a 13 flat.. (ls2 gto) my goat runs a 13.7 bone stock .. if u think a stock evo x is fast you should do your h.w.. like i said the only evo i respect is the 9 .. im not being an internet tough guy either im actually really calm im eating a big mac and watching dane cook as we speak ... your the one whos feelings got hurt. im just telling it how it is

first of all a stock evo X is slow and it wont beat a stock ls2 gto ..so thats already bullshit .. secondly he won the race . he got to the finish line before you did . its not his fault that (1) your reaction time sucks (2) you cant drive for shit .... i raced an evo x in my ls1 gto, stock vs stock (and he could actually drive).. he must have pulled 1 and a half cars. i raced an ls2 gto stock vs stock and it beat me by at least 5 cars ..

The GTO did not and cannot beat me. I beat them when I was stock and beat them worse when I was modded. I still have the time slip from this race. Doesnt matter who makes it to the end of the track 1st. Your time tells who has a faster car. I can sit at the light until he reaches the end of track and still beat him. My time doesnt start until i take off. I missed 2gears and still beat him.
