  • im alittle worried about her position :-/ no offence

  • Love the little kid in the background who goes 'ohhhhh' way to dramtically

Hope it didn't hurt to much but only the best fall down xx

  • You could tell she was going to fall forward... She was ahead of the horse. Going into the jump position too early, meaning that if the horse did refuse she would have been unseated quite easily. Although that horse is beautiful! (y)

  • Nah she didn't pass out because she was still riding him if she had passed out she would have fell forward earlier. She just wasn't a strong rider she was easily unseated

  • oooooohhhh...beautiful horse, like black beauty :)

  • haha:) classic!!!

  • Was she ok before she fell off? Because it seemed that she like passed out on the horse or got dizzy. Anyway's it didnt look good.

  • hope youre ok....gotta learn to steady your hands a bit .

  • You fold too early like early sit back, kick and let the fence come to you.

  • omg i was watching this and right now i ride at this barn and i know this horse! im pretty sure its this horse named ubu he is super sweet he doesnt jump that often now but this is just a schooling show its just ment to hav the expericnce of a horse show

  • @horselover833 You are right. That is Ubu:0

  • it kinda looks like she passed out or fell asleep

  • sit back more, use more of a lower leg, pick the speed you want over these fences....no offence but this is fairly rag-doll like.

  • nah, i've had worse

  • she looks like she threw herself off

  • im not trying to be mean or anything but it wasnt the horses fault it was mostly the riders. she was in the chair seat and her stirrup were alittle bit behind the ball of her foot. but othere than that great fall! she did pretty good i would of cryed after this kind of fall!

  • The horse was all "You go first!"

  • This accident wasn't the horses fault at all. This girl would have stayed on if she was balanced. But she will get there with practice :)

  • Charlie.. that really hurt... Oooooowww. dang.. well i hope she is ok

  • I understand that we all as riders have to start somewhere. I was at that stage once too. but I believe that this girls coach should know better than to jump(especially in a show)until the rider has gained a little more experience and gained a more solid seat and steady hands. if she has no coach, then she should find an educated equestrian for guidance if possible. this would be for the safety of the horse as well as her. this could have easily been avoided with experience. best of luck to her!

  • idk the horse or rider but i think the horse was going too slow

  • lmao :L the horse just stopped and she fell off. LOOOLL

  • Oh this brings back memories. I fell for exactly the same reason as her, and almost the same landing, but thankfully I fell on poles

  • knew it was coming from fence #1...

  • I had some similar fall to that but i landed head on the jump and cutted my neck open from it but also i wasnt jumping but cantering and horse went one way i went other when horse suddenly stopped.

  • it almost looked like she was getting tired before she fell..

  • i feel bad for her but i dont think she should be jump doesnt look ready for it

  • that rider is not so good :o

  • That landing wouldn't feel good. This kids is why you never lean at your horse going to a jump.

  • can i use this clip for a video im making?

  • awww what a good horse....he didnt leave :)

  • it looks like she threw herself off him.. thats the kind of fall we riders WISH we could have rather than real falls.. the horse didn't even refuse.

  • omg it looks like she was passed out or daydreaming or something, then the horse refused cause she didn't give him any leg, and she like slid off ,aha

  • it was her fault. she didn't use her leg to tell him to leave the ground. and she was leaning up his neck.

  • I bet landing on the jump like that felt amazing =P Poor thing.

  • WoW -- she just slipped off XD

  • The horse looked a little reluctant, and woah that would've hurt

  • started leaning forward when she got close to the jump

  • She looks so stiff at the canter and while jumping, so if the horse refused she would totally fly off, and thats what happend

  • Her legs got tangled in the reins. Could have hurt the mouth.

  • What a patient horse. The rider had no business jumping that horse when she could not even ballance at a simple canter. Unbelieveable!

  • Damn straight.

  • gawjus horse

  • elle est vraiment pas douée -_-

  • hä was wie ich bin disqualifiziert waaaaaaaas dachhte sie bestimmt so dumm wie sie ist

  • It wasnt her fault it was unlucky,, buh jus 4 a tip dont lean 2 far forward,, sit back until the horse takes off n go with him/her x

  • it was her fault. completly. she needs to learn how to ride

  • em i hope she s okay_ bt it wasnt the horses fault.......

  • she is ok

  • @matttchapman thats gd !

  • @horseluver4everx1 True that. You can tell by her canter seat. Her overall position is rocky and stiff.

  • I didnt even noticed the horse refused untill she fell off

  • @AlleMeineLiebe

yep me.. too.. that was funny in a way but i hope she is ok

  • she very loose--'

  • Hm. It looks odd. I hope she's ok :) It looks slightly like she fainted- the way she became all loose and floppy before he stopped.

  • HA that made me laugh! I would of been able to sit that out! That horse just stoped. She fell, she lucky she didnt get hurt. She shouldnt be riding at this level yet

  • her fault

  • she was like sliding off the horse's back :S she shouldn't compete without having good control over a horse. well well.. hope she's okay :)

  • This horse had her Number, she got ahead of him both fences before, and he KNEW she wasnt going to change, and he just said "watch this" and laughed! horses can be stinkers sometimes! hahaha and riders should be a little more expierienced for this level too.

  • wow she shouldnt be riding at this level yet. shes lucky she didnt get hurt.

  • how do you fall off at that?

  • It looks like she actually was like, Oh yeah, gona fall now byez.

  • Que pamonha, sem noção. oiweoiweoiwieiiwoeiiw

    que dó -q

  • hahaha that was kinda funny

  • I'm sorry but if I were the trainer I would never put my student in a dangerous situation like that. I would know that my student was not ready and work with her until she was ready.

  • she shouldnt be showing until she has good control

  • yea i agree with you. you could see that the horse was going to refuse one or two strides prior to the fence. the horse hesitated before and the rider should have used her leg to encourage the horse to take the fence.

  • the horse is fine.. real talent but the rider does not help the horse its all the horse... the horse did not have enough speed going towards the jump and the rider was leaning to far forward.... one of my horses stops at the base of a barrel jump at a good canter... goes down on his bum and curls his front legs up and pops over HUGE this girls shouldnt be jumping until she knows how to canter with a seat instead of doing 2-point the whole time...

  • i think she just needs to develop a more secure seat. this hapened to me alot when i was younger, now i am able to sit on a horse who occasionly puts in high speed stops and run outs! :P Glad she was ok!

  • Glad she was OK, I had a simillar fall when I was 13 and had problems with my back for years. I see a lot of room for improvement for her too, but everyone has been at that stage at one point in their riding education.

  • that's EXACTLY what happened to me about a week ago, not the best feeling in the world!!

    Glad she's ok!

  • i totally agree, she was anticipating it too soon.

  • Wow, I believe the horse was actually responding to her place in the saddle, and to her leaning forward with uncertainty, perhaps the horse was substantially more experienced than she was, because it seemed to stop more out of a concern for safety, than rebellion, as I did not see any attitude off of the horse. What do you hunters and jumpers think?

  • totally agreed i odnt think that girl was ready to jump yet...

  • yeah, she had no lower leg and should have been doing walk/trot or maybe walk/trot/canter. the horse stopped very smoothly and she flew forward.

  • I totally agree with u!!

  • I agree, she rides, well i cant describe it with words cos im nos technical like that, but you can tell that she was expecting it. the horse didnt have enough impulsion and i noticed it doesnt pace itself very well.

  • She horribly chipped the first two fences, and the poor horse finally had enough. Such a nice hunter too

  • LOL thats priceless

  • its not like the horse stopped immediatly he slowed down then eventually stopped

  • did u see her seat, she was slouching right forward, no wonder she fell off

  • I'm sure everyone who has ever jumped horses has had this experience. And especially in the Hunter world. I used to show Hunter and here's a word of advice for all those hunters out there...try eventing and learn how to REALLY ride. I thought I was a good rider until I got into eventing. If you can find a good cross country coach you'll learn to REALLY use your seat, legs, etc. Plus you'll get tough. But PLEASE don't bring the snobbish Hunter attitude with you...we HATE that!

  • LOL, i love the way you said that. its so true. I do eventing as well and my horse loves it.

  • YESSS this is such a true statement =D

  • lol, hope shes ok!! i did dat bt on a 16.2!! not fun!!

  • lol i love the fact the rider in the video probably hasn't even seen this video of herself? if she was watching i'd probably help her out too...but its a waste of typing if she hasn't even watched it

  • Ohh...she has seen it alright

  • haha really? oh geez that'd suck lol, did you ask her if you could upload the vid?not being a bitch or anything im curious =P

  • yeah...i asked her

  • haha awesome

  • @XmichellopuffX It wouldn't matter if she asked or not. 1) the vid was taken in the public, 2) the uploader isn't distributing it for money, and 3) the person that shot the film OWNS the vid and therefor owns the copy right to the vid as well.

Guess what, I could vid you picking your nose and upload it and YOU couldn't do a THING about it... So long as I wasn't filming you in your home.

  • fuck that would have hurt..

  • oh, and obviously I wasn't there, so I already know that I do not know the rider or horse and how they were feeling/acting that day. Thanks

  • oouchh! Ugh, we have all had our horse show falls. Just, for the rider, get your heels down, sit up taller, find your seat, and actually ride the horse (not trying to be mean). The horse didn't even stop that abruptly, you kind of just slid off intentionally. But, I'm just tryin to help out someone who might be a beginner everyone!! No mean replies please, I just want to see if I can help out :-)

  • You took the words out of my mouth, but if she is a beginer she is obveously not reddy to jump yet and needs to get off that push butten horse and ride somthing that will actualy teach here to ride. sory, not trying to be mean. :D But my trainer did not let me jump anything over a ground pole untell I was COMPLEETLY redy. Maby she needs a new trainer?

  • Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking. Most trainers don't even let their students jump until they have mastered cantering. I am porbably sure that with more time and possible a new trainer as XArabHunterX indicated, she could be a very good rider.

  • ok maybe she is a beginner but i used to do somethin similiar and my trainer got tired of correcting me so i fell..it was prob her own fault..

  • every person has there day, its ok to be a begginer horse rider, we were all one once.

  • oh y'all relax. she's a total beginner. we all have had our spills. keep on pushing little lady! my first jumping class i fell off and crashed through an oxer like a bowling ball.

  • the girl is looking for support on the reigns, her seat is too loose and irritating the horse's balance, the horse short in movement only barely making the second jump (which is LOW!), why go headfirst in these things without being advanced?!

  • i dont think ppl should be bagging on other ppls riding of those ppl dont even have videos of themselves riding...thsta just way not fair..but for real what if she was nervouse what if the horse was acting up earlier what if it was just one of those days she has many reasons to be nervouse or scared on her own horse maybe she was expecting him to act up... its a horse..they have there own minds...we are all riders and we should respect that ppl come off once in a while guyz should just chill!!!

  • this rider is waaay too stiff, her arms are like 2x4's her upper body is stiff, her seat sucks. There is no wonder why she fell. She was being left behind at every jump as well.

  • she wasnt ready or paying attention, not telling him what to do! =O but good job anyways

  • Ouuch.

    Dirty Stop.

  • she wasnt well positioned, and she was moving around alittle too much in the saddle, but that looks like it wouldof hurt.

  • ahaha slingshot much =]]]

  • The girl make the horse jumping too late...She's not ready...

  • Wow, she fell off really easy... I could understand if it was a dirty stop, but the horse slowed down then ducked.

At this time in the show, I don't think the girl was ready to be jumping.

  • seriously ppl, we were all beginners at one point, and we all have fallen off for various reasons.

just give the girl a break, shes probly more advanced now. and it said this happened in 2002.

  • your not a good rider because you doint have tight legs.ha ha

  • it almost looked as if she fainted on the horse right before she fell?

idk. but that was a weird fall..

  • She definitly didnt faint! Her stirrups were way too long and she had no weight in her heels, happens all the time with novice riders like that girl!

  • what do you mean by (that girl)

  • She was a girl riding that horse! A young girl by the looks of it.

  • Ur hands were bouncing WAAAAY too much. U need to do lots more ground work before you jump

  • Jumping too far ahead.....I know because I have the same problem. lol. It makes it very easy for horses to refuse and the rider to go flying. It's such a hard habit to break from though.

  • she could have stayed on

  • ok since when do we use a standing martingale when jumping?? no wonder the horse had the impulsion of a cart-pulling mule and the rider was about 3yrs ahead of the movement!! an accident waiting to happen im afraid.

  • most hunters use standing martingales. its just whether or not they know how to use them.

  • welcome to north america- she's in the hunter ring, where standings are commonplace. Have been for about 50 years.

I thought the stirrups two holes two long and the complete lack of fitness/strength were the larger issue.

  • i agree. her position wasn't to grand either and that poor horses back. all that smacking up and down on him. ouch.

  • i do not want to sound mean but man i would never actually think that she would fall hard like that i kind of thought she would ball on her bum or on her keens. : /

  • wow, I see how she messed up. She was leaning ahead of those horse and it was kind of predictable by the horse's body language that it was going to refuse the jump.

The jumps weren't even that high. I wouldn't call this an "accident" but more or less a mistake. It happens all the time.

The real accidents is when the rider and horse are both injured because of a mishap or a stupid mistake on the human's part.

  • And who would call this an accident? Its a fall.. it happens every day to us equestrians.

  • HAHA! Sorry.. I cannot get enough of this. I'm never one to criticize anyone's riding.. I wouldn't do anything to hurt anyone.. but the fall was just so.. bizzare. xD

  • Whut?

  • WTF! AHAHAH! who in the bloody hell would put this kid over fences! she needs to learn how to ride! woww...

  • who is the idiot trainer that put this girl on a horse, over fences, with a DOUBLE REIN!?!?! she really needs to go back to basics

  • BAHAHAHA im sorry but this girl should seriously learn horse to ride, she is SOOOO stiff xDD Look at her hands, shes not in harmony with that horse at all. woww I cant get over how she just flopped right over xD!

  • my god people. get a life and stop worrying about what other people do!

  • Hehe hope she learnt that she shouldn't jump before she learn how to ride a horse...

Her teacher should tell her that she wasn't ready for jumping and realy not for eventings ...

    Haha :D

  • and she was leaning and looking

  • i hate people who sit on animals backs, force the animal to do sports and then complain when something goes wrong -.-

  • I don't force my horse to do anything she does it becuz she enjoys it. Also people in E. events often have a message therapist and or a chiropractor. You have no business talking about riding. Your ignorance shows this. I usually don't get wound up by people's comments but urs was particularly asinine. And I hate people with offensive stupid names.

  • you hate quickly.

    reality check:

competitive riders have a LONG & PUBLIC history of wrongdoings, including doping and physical abuse. and it's the rule, not the exeption. today we know such things and we don't fall anymore for you liars.

  • You hate quickly too.

Reality check NO ONE in the olympics can drug their horses. I don't EVER drug me horse. Other people may that sux but its goin to continue for a while until someone comes up with a better way to test for it. I DON'T CARE WHAT OTHER RIDERS DO! I care what I do! I am very competitive and adore and love my horse. But I would never abuse her or dope her. Not all competitive riders/trainers are bad. Why don't you like actually go to the sporthorse cup. Then talk to me ya punts!

  • 2008 olympics HAD A HORSE-DOPING SCANDAL:

christian ahlmann's (german equipe) horse was DOPED with "Equi-Block" ... the same as Denis Lynch and Bernardo Alves did with their horses ! FACT !

i'm so tired of the "others might do it, but i don't do it" .. WE DON'T BELIEVE YOU ANYMORE!

horse riding "sports" are totally infested with doping and physical abuse. you can find proof anywhere you need.

it's not "some guys" , it is the fucking majority of competitive riders and teams who do the abuse.

  • Thats why they take away their medals! IDIOT! I don't dope my horse she doesn't need it. Doping is for people who can't train. Not for people whose trainer was trained my John and BZ. My horse doesn't get doped so stop saying she does! She is a perfect little angel. I don't need no fancy meds for her. Not all BNTs drug their horses get that through your thick skull jerkwad! None of our horses get doped for showing. If they can't show they can't show. We don't cut corners in training.

  • whats doping?

  • Using any kind of medicine unsanctioned or banned substance by the show giving association. Such as Bute.

  • Yes people who ride in the upper levels dope, so do baseball, basketball, football, soccer, etc. It isn't JUST horse sports. And we DO NOT abuse our horses, you don;t know anything

  • dont drop ur body when ur jumping cuz that can cause a refusal

  • what do u mean?

  • Can anyone one read and please tell e when this was taken??

then thin about what you want to say

  • you were just leaning into the jumps too much.

if you would have sat back instead of leaning forward. you probably would have stayed on .

    just saying.

  • I agree she can't do hunters and the horse doesn't look properly warmed up

  • omg i have done that before i was at a show with my trainer and we had had the day b4 to warm up and get used to the jumps and there was this one jump it was kinda wide an tall and it kinda looked like gray bricks my horse was scared of it i fell and landede on it twice lol

  • what a good little horse to stay lol

  • ouch! the horse looked pretty tence though... maybe he wasnt warmed up

  • who ever this girl is..... she should not have been jumping. even though they were small jumps, she def. was not qualified to be jumping.

  • oops. pilot error.Hate to say it, but you can't just SIT there- you actually have to RIDE the horse! Sorry but it was pretty funny!

  • i think i almost peed my pants!

  • gosh, that looked really unstable right from the beginning : / more training and she will be good to go : )

  • she was sitting too far forward be4 tha jump and had no contact or seat and 4 god sake its tiny the horse culd walk over them

  • she didnt have a very good seat no wonder she came off

  • no wonder she fell off she sucked!!!!!!!

  • buckle up !

  • oyé oyé oyé !! le cheval a baut etre magnifique , la cavalière est super nul !!!

  • Not being offensive but that rider looked pretty shit, the fall was her fault

  • we've all been there. we learn from our falls.

  • so true your not a true horseback rider till you fall. lol my old train told me that once

  • I agree with you 100%

  • agreed.

  • i do not think she where a profesional, and you probably dont even know how to spell: HORSE correctly so who are u to judge?

  • I hope your comment isn't directed at me! Cause I can spell PROFESSIONAL and I ride quite well. I think that it was funny, because the rider was obviously not qualified to jump and didn't get hurt. Had she been hurt, it wouldn't have been funny.

  • True I Cant Judge :) But I Can Spell HORSE Correctly Dumbass, Try Spelling PROFESSIONAL Correctly Yeah?

  • Well, I Can Judge Because I Can Ride, & I Can Jump & I Can Spell HORSE & PROFESSIONAL Correctly, Unlike You :)

  • yah ive ridde since i was 3!! but i havent done jumping yet. i toke a break for a while cause i got thrown.

  • thank!! ill think of that when start jumping!!

  • wow (not tryin to b mean) you were all over the place you got ahead of the horse(which we all do sometimes) and when he stopped you were too far off balance and it flipped u off

  • need to work on ur eat yuck! and dont wreck that horse it looks amzing i guess its very tolerable too

  • question for anyone. im thinking of doing jumping but in a lot of vids. with jumping accidents i noticed that the horse always stops before it goes over the jump, do they do that a lot and why? thanks!

  • yeah horses refuse a lot do u even ride?!?!?

  • It is a bit cruel, I was on a ponny that refused to jump and I allmost fell over. But than I forced her to jump. And than I realized that I wanted her to jump too high. It was a common height for a big horse, but not for a hafling. Sometimes the horse has to be sure that you want to jump and that you really mean it :-) and that you are prepared and know how to jump. So it is about trust, too. For some horses, everything has to be perfect. Some horses are more tolerant, like this horse on video.

  • Yes and no. I think that every horse refuses a jump from time to time. Most of the riders on the videos don't sit correctly. And the horse is very sensitive to ballance. If the rider is in a wrong position or bounce in the saddle, the horse could have problem to jump with this rider. So he decides not to jump.

  • uhhh its called a refusal. surely you knew that and if not, then you may want to wait on those jumping lessons. horses can refuse a jump for numerous reasons such as they werent set up right prior to the jump or theres something about the jump the horse just didnt like or it bothered them. not all refusals result in the rider falling. the rider will usually fall if their seat isnt right as demonstrated here or if the speed at which the horse is going and then refuses throws their balance off.
