  • fuck i love this movie

  • omg louis is supposed to have pale skin, look gaunt and emaciated and have black curly hair and green eyes! brad pitt sucked he looked nothing like he should have!

  • Does ANYONE know how to play this????? And could you please give me the notes to play it ????

  • @Dunno721 A, A, C, B, A

  • unfortunattely i can't like more

  • Love this movie! the best vampire movie in history, same goes for the books, by the lovely Ms. Anne Rice. And Bramstoker's Dracula, gotta love Gary Oldman! I didn't care for Lost Boys much. And as u can see through my username the word to be exact, you know what I am also a fan of. In fact it was my first vampire book and movie. Leading to my beautiful love of Anne Rice through my mother.

  • Claudia you've been a very very naughty little girl

  • Listen Louie... There's life in these old hands still. Not quite Furioso. Moderato? Cantabile, perhaps. Bless the alligator. His blood helped. Been the diet of the blood of snakes, toads, and all the putrid life of the Mississippi.

Slowly, Lestat bevame something like himself again... Love that words ;***

  • @12345Musia My second all time favorite little monologue (the first one is Hauer`s in Blade Runner). Love the words, the music and that incredible vampire atmosphere.

  • @wonka320 Fuck yeah! Normal people :D

  • @wonka320 And Treebeard's "Last March Of The Ants" in LOTR2

  • @tyler2503 Well ok, its yours ) I prefer Theoden`s speech but it wasn`t a little monologue anyway

  • Lestat is amazing=))

  • Imagine that the idiot Brad Pitt said last week that he wanted to get out of IWTV, and that the movie was "the worst failure", and that he did not even enjoy the script by Anne Rice, he thought it bad. What an ungrateful BASTARD he is! Thois movie practically made him the star he is now!!!

  • @Calucifer13 I don't know if you've noticed by now, but Brad Pitt is a spoiled brat. HAHA! He showed that to everyone when he left Jennifer Aniston.

  • Reading Tale of the Body Thief. such a good book. Lestat is a fucking god in that book. Love, love, love Lestat and Anne Rice.

  • And this dude is playing this song AFTER gettin eaten by crocodiles! Beat Dat!

  • you cut off his great line at the end

  • I like how he says Mississippi

  • this is the only movie i liked tom cruise in! i wish he'd take on evil roles more often.

  • lestat, definately my fav vampire.

  • The thing most liked me is the lip Sync, =D

  • i've read the book, he's really mean to his blind father :( he makes him cry

  • @emogolden219

Well, Lestat's father wasn't exactly 'satisfactory' for most of his life. I recall him being somewhat abusive, so I guess in Lestat's eyes, it was karma.

  • When is Lestat not furious though??? Hahahaha. You should've posted the whole movie ;)

  • The best scene

  • Lestat is so badass. he never dies.

  • Still in that way Lestat is better than that cullen guy x

  • wat's the name of this song???

  • @Magisterius89 Artist: Vladimir Horowitz

Song: "Sonata in E Flat Major for Piano, Hob. XVI:49: II. Adagio e Cantabile"

  • my mother watched this over and over with me in her womb and behold...me

  • my favorite book.

  • I got sceared here and movies don't scear me but this part sure did

  • it sounds like moonlight sonata i bit...

  • @kinkyshamone No,Moonlight Sonata sounds like this!THIS piece was written before the Moonlight Sonata!!! ; . )

  • @mrbrianmccarthy ah i see, I have only just discovered that i really really enjoy classical piano so no virtually nothing about it :-) I am on a mission to learn all! thanks ;-)

  • @kinkyshamone know*

  • which song is he playing?

  • @F1TY Beethovens moonlight sonata

  • @TheVampiresekhmet No, It's really not :| Doesn't even sound remotely similar...Though how cool would it have been if it was Moonlight Sonata..first movement of course.

  • @TheVampiresekhmet Hab ich auch erst vermutet - ist aber von Haydn - siehe oben...

  • @F1TY Haydn's Sonata No 59 (second movement, Adagio e cantabile) It's just a slower version to that which he is playing just before his throat is slashed by Claudia.

  • @ReeLeigh91 Im in love with you

  • @F1TY Lol. Sweeeet. Being a nerd came in useful for once ;D

  • Trying to compare Interview with the vampire with Twilight is like trying to compare Bach/Mozart/Beethoven with Justin Bieber.

  • Queen of the Damned - Lastat

Interview with a Vampire - Louise and\or Lastat

    Twilight - Edward

which team are you guys on?

  • Queen of the Damned - Lastat

Interview with a Vampire - Louis and\or Lastat

    Twilight - Edward

which team are you guys on?

  • Can we please stop mentioning Twilight on videos that deal with The Vampire Chronicles? Yeesh.

  • This Movie is Alot better then twilight an that orther Emo Filth.

  • i read and lov all anna rice vampire chronical books, but my fav is the blackhood farm and merrick, the tale of a body thief, vampire lestat, vampire armand of course maruis de romanian

  • I love the macabre feeling in this scene. It really gives you a sense of death and the undead, aken to eachother.

  • @victoriaisntsosecret Lovely worded my good man(/woman)

  • @ssjwes Why thank you sir and/or ma'am.

  • The movie is great and so is the book. They are different, but I don't think that they should be the same. I mean The movie is perfect the way it is and so is the book :)

  • i don't mean to disparage the movie or fans of it, but i think this should be remade.

i read (audiobook actually) the novel after seeing this and it simply cannot compare.

antonio is a brilliant actor, but Armand is a 17 year old boy with auburn hair.

Louis and lestat are vastly different and even claudia is five years old. i understand how difficult it is making a movie, but this cold really be remade into something spectacular.

  • fail video audio is messed up

  • This movie is by far my favorite of all vampire movies, but in Twilight's defense, Stephanie Meyer never sought out to change the face of vampire fiction. She just jotted down a dream she had one night & was encouraged by a family member to make a story out of it. She wrote it the way she dreamed it and not the way any historian or filmaker portrayed vampires. The Buffy series was a different breed of vampires too. I think since it's all storytelling anyway, they can write what they want :)

  • How could it be? Ask the Aligator.

  • moderato..

  • great make-up!!

  • did you know that the author of twilight never saw a vampire movie? never read up on anything about vampires? actually twilight wasent orgionally gonna have vampires in it.....she added them in halfway through making the books....anna rice's husband was a historian so thats how she was so accurate with all this stuff :) im actually starting to read :the talke of the body thief" which is a good book so far :)

  • @nabtitan the fact that you think Stan Rice was a historian makes me doubt your story about Stephanie Meyer

  • @MrBluesummerz lol alot ppl dont like repo men, i do like it i thought jude law was great in it, mine is Nevin its scottish my whole name is scottish

  • @MrBluesummerz lol no not that, your name on your profile

  • ohhhhhhhh que delicia

  • @MrBluesummerz no i figured you were a dude from your page it was just the twilight thing and your name, and dont get offended my name is unisex too

  • @MrBluesummerz lol thank you and ya we did stray a bit lol but how much somthing sold cant be that much of a moral booster(if thats a good word) because i meen alot of stupid shit has done well example jeans with holes in them! god i hate those like "i wanna look like ive done somthing but really im just rich and never worked a day" lol anyway you are alot more intelligent than i origanaly believed and i dont care if you do like twilight or not, and just out of curiousity you a girl or guy?

  • @MrBluesummerz lol thank u for likeing my comment, but your not supposed to take lessons from those books, but twilight has 15 and under and sry to say young girls(in my opinion almost all ppl) are not very smart they will read the book because there friends are and then the absorb the messages from it you know?

  • They left out the best part. Claudia, you've been a very. very. naughty, little girl

  • and b4 you say anythin obviously i copied and pasted this from someone who has the time to talk to ppl who have watched and read it, and yes i think steven king knows a bit more about writeing then the bitch who wrote that trash, all im saying is it is garbage and has ruined a once good genre

  • Vampires once among the great villains of literature and motion pictures are no longer scary. Young women should make no effort to improve their social skills or emotional state. Instead, they should seek out potential mates that share their morose deficiencies and emotional illnesses.

Girls shouldn’t always read a book series just because everyone else has.

When writing a book series, it’s acceptable to lift seminal source material and bastardize it with tired, overwrought teenage angst.

  • If the boy you are in love with causes you (even indirectly) to be so badly beaten you end up in the hospital, you should tell the doctors and your family that you “fell down the steps” because you are such a silly, clumsy girl. That false explanation always works well for abused women. When or watching a major feature film, you should embrace the 20 min of plot it provides in between extendedsegments of vacant-eyed silence and self-indulgent, moaning banter.

  • You should use said male to fix things because girls are incapable of anything mechanical or technical. Lying to your parents is fine. Lying to your parents while you run away to save your suicidal boyfriend is an extremely good idea that shows your strength and maturity. Also, it is what you must do. Car theft in the service of love is acceptable. Men can be changed for the better if you sacrifice everything you are and devote yourself to their need for change.

  • -When a boy leaves you, going into shock, losing all your friends and enduring night terrors are completely acceptable occurrences as long as you keep your grades up. It is extremely romantic to put yourself in dangerous situations in order to see your ex-boyfriend again. It’s even more romantic to remember the sound of his voice when he yelled at you. Boys who leave you always come back.

  • do i need to keep going because i will Secrets are good especially life-threatening ones. If a boy tells you to stay away from him because he is dangerous and may even kill you, he must be the love of your life. You should stay with him since he will keep you safe forever. If a boy leaves you, especially suddenly (while telling you he will never see you again), it is because he loves you so much he will suffer just to keep you safe.

  • @MrBluesummerz ya and its alot of ppls opinion(ppl with taste) that twilight is a overrated schoolgirls fantasy story that has no depth and hardly any plot and girls learn horrible lessons from it like If a boy is aloof, stand-offish, ignores you or is just plain rude, it is because he is secretly in love with you and you are the point of his existence. It’s OK for a potential romantic interest to be dimwitted, violent and vengeful as long as he has great abs.

  • search Lestat Won't Die - Interview with the Vampire, it is a better version shorter but atleast u can here everyone when there mouths move

  • @MrBluesummerz if twilight did sell more its for one reason a bunch of little kids were told to by the books after watching the movie, While comparing Meyer to J. K. Rowling, Stephen King stated, "the real difference [between J. K. Rowling and Meyer] is that Jo Rowling is a terrific writer, and Stephenie Meyer can't write worth a darn. She's not very good." and who knows more about writing good books?

  • You have the right to your opinion but mine is that people who turn monsters into good guys, like the Cullans and the witches, etc. in Harry Potter is a very good thing. We don't need anymore horror or monsters in the world. And I agree with Mr. I'd bet the sales of the Twi books will far exceed Ann Rice if they haven't all ready. We don't need kids reading horror or watching movies like this.

  • @Songsmirth ya so lets just lie to the kids and tell them the world is full of sparkleing hot guys and stupid girls who cant choose between them, ya thats a whole let better than giving them the truth

  • Thanks for uploading such an amazing scene. What a shame the audio is out of sync.

  • 11 peopl will be sacrifice for lestat

  • perfect

  • I believe that this is actually Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata with inverted chords. Definitely the same framework of chords.

  • @hemidemisemiquaver65

    Hey

It's actually a slower verison of Adagio E Cantabile. The original is much faster, which he was playing before Claudia cut his throat.

I like it this way, slower with a much more haunting feel to it.

  • gad i love this scene

  • One of my favourite movie scenes of all time. Tom Cruise just made the best Lestat.

  • Twilight can't hold a candle to Anne Rice or her books, nor this movie. For all I'm concerned, Twilight is just a rip off of this movie, for which they deserve to die for that costly mistake.

In fact, Twilight is nothing more than a chick flick that's teaching the girls all the wrong things about romance in the first place. I know it's wrong to troll about these types of things, but I'm just so pissed at Twilight.

  • @MrZanecross THANKYOU!!! I totally AGREE with you 100%!!! Twilight is just PURE CRAP!!! Its not even close of being a Vampire movie!!! No Blood, no Action!!! And the sparkly shit??? REEALLY!!??? I used to LOVE the books, bt then the Twilight crap movies came on & they Killed it!!! This is what Vampire moives should be About!! Im more of a Anne Rice/Charlaine Harris fan!! And a lil bit of TVD....bt still, Anne Rice, True Blood, and TVD aree sooo much better than all this Twilight-Sparkly shit!!:)

  • @MrZanecross I agree with most of the sentiments, but I am not fully sure how it is a "rip off." That would in some way involve copying large portions of the plot and/or characters... If they did that, then it wouldn't be nearly as terrible.

  • @MrZanecross

thank you very fucking much, preach it.

  • @MrZanecross Don't be pissed at Twilight. Be pissed at the author.

  • Muito belo, esse filme

  • Comment removed

  • @MrZanecross Are you talking about the movies or the books? I think the books are brilliant. How can you call it a rip off of IWTV? They are nothing alike. Stephanie Meyer had the courage to think outside the box and reinvent her own type of vampire. She did an amazing job at turning it all around. Most "myths" have some truth, so she thought of ways to explain an alternate meaning, like" Why do vampires never go out in the sun." Maybe they don't burn up. She has a great imagination.

  • @MrZanecross --- im a chick and i cant stand that crap! Hate twilight sooo much!!! interview with the vampire is by far one of the best vampire movies ever! and lost boys! bram stokers too!

  • @MrZanecross I hate the term "chick flick" with a fiery passion but I still think it's degrading to the "genre" to place Twilight in it. Twilight isn't worthy of being called a chick flick.

  • @MrZanecross It gets really annoying when every single vampire clip is compared to Twilight. I despise it. In fact, many people do too. I have been a fan of the vampire genre since I first saw Forever Knight. I love the old style vampires more than the modern. Carmilla is my favorite vampire book. My generation's Dracula is Gary Oldman and my Father's is Christopher Lee and my Grandpa's is Bela Lugosi. Vampires change with the times. Each generation will have their own undead. Get over it.

  • @jrosario022 Never read Carmilla...I'll give it a go, thanks for the knowledge!

  • An astute observation, jrosario022.

  • I never get bored of this movie. When i first watched it this scene scared me, now i find it quite funny lol

  • One of my favorite movie scenes <3

  • I love the song he's playing :3

  • seriously man

i thought vampires sucked blood and not cock

    twilight is just garbage

and the whole vampire scene now is overrated ...thi

  • @himynameisalonso1 they dont even show the vampires hunting in action, it just shows them ripping off the vampires heads in eclipse and they're like diamonds, no blood and gore anywhere :(

  • @himynameisalonso1 I Agree 100%

  • Comment removed

  • Put the resolution to 240 if its out of sync

  • The best scene in the movie

  • it's out of sync. but whatever. this is so much better than twilight bullshit

  • When I first saw this scene I was like .... OMG he's gonna do "nothing else matters" by metallica 3wrurw

  • He's BAAAACK!!!! Yahoo! Now Louis will once again have someone to whine to and mope over!

Of course, until he lights the whole place on fire (he's such a pyro) and tries to kill Lestat again. Poor Brat Prince... It's a darn good thing that he's immortal.

  • i myself love thw twilight series ...... but i'd pick louis over edward any day :) and lestat is an amazing villian

  • @brinymae13 Lestat is not a villian :P

  • shit listen twilight fuckers.Stop coming to every vampire video leaving comments comparing real vampires to those twilight pussypires.SHIT! stop posting all these stupid videos saying twilight is the best vampire series because it's not.

  • toads lol putrid life

  • The audio synchronisation to video is sublime.

  • I love how they changed the song after he hits the F octaves... 0:18 to 0:32 is not how the song is normally played. However I like the dark nature they added for this scene.

  • OH, there were 666 comments...

  • Was is this. Is it like his second time back from the dead or the first? o.0

  • @RosesNightengales this was his second; he WAS human before he became a vampire, therefore he also had to die

  • @Re9ap9er9 ah , okay. Thanks for clearing this up. hahaa. I was wondering do you think Tom really played the piano for this? o.0

  • @RosesNightengales No of course not LOL; with his ego??? When he was younger, he was grooming himself to be a priest, I believe.

  • @Re9ap9er9 Nooo Not lestat, I mean Tom Cruise. hahahaa. But wait. im confused. lol who were you talking about. Lestat or Tom XD

  • @RosesNightengales No, Tom Cruise was actually training to become a priest before he got into acting. You can check it out on imdb.com. You're funny! LOL ;)

  • i love tom cruise

  • @devmoran2 me too.

  • @RosesNightengales Yes, he did!

  • @la214la Sweeeeet.

  • I decorated my friends house for halloween .Right by her main door there is a large window and we are going to open it and play scary piano music.I will be playing this XD

  • THIS is SOOO Good!!! One of my favorite scenes. Sadly, I think that Youtube has caused a delay in the audio and/or video. But If you'd like I could easily fix it for you. I'd have to download it, then fix it in Windows Movie maker, publish it as a movie file and then I could send it to you for re upload. (If you'd like.)

  • @Mishaforever

Go ahead and even upload it yourself, it's worth it.

  • Louis knows whats about to happen hes like oh shit...

  • this was the best scene in the movie...All the years Lestat spent on Earth: and his wisdom is reflected in this scene...who knows what went on in his mind..

  • twilight is a total wimp compared to this movie. this scene is one of my favorite scenes, i just love it! lestat is always intense, and he is great!

  • Ah yes, I remember this, to think Louie and a little demon could do that to me

  • What a mockery. Mr. Cruise, playing yours truly? How disappointing. I do love the curtains and music in this scene though. Truly beautiful together...

  • whats the name of the piece he is playing on the piano?????

  • @dawnlvsemma

Haydn - Adagio E Cantabile in e flat

  • claudia... you've been a very... very... naughty little girl

  • @ruffzspree my favorite quote EVER!

  • "Ask the alligator."

  • Theres life... this old hands still... but quite furiozo.

  • *will somebody please tell me what song this is???*

  • @JadeInBlack777 It's Hadyn's piano sonata in e flat major, second movement, adiago cantable. this part is only a small part smack in the middle of the movement, The rest is very light and fluffy.

  • people, get over the obsession you have with twilight! oh well, you like one kind of vampire story and others like another kind of vampire story! get over it!!!!!!!

  • @luvulotts well said luvulotts! *applause, applause* and just to add to that. NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN A REAL VAMPIRE SO ANYONE CAN WRITE IT THE WAY THEY WANT TO. Why go with the CLICHE and OVERUSED way of presenting and writing a vampire?

  • ANNE RICE YOU ARE THE BEST!! I LOVE HER NOVELS AND HER VAMPIRES!! I don't know what the hell is up with TWILIGHT!! *spit on all of the vampires in twilight* that's vampire shit! INTERVIEW OF THE VAMPIRE IS THE BEST VAMPIRE MOVIE THAT WAS EVER MADE!!

  • Great Vid. But the tracking is off. That's annoying.

  • This is the only movie I like Tom Cruise in lol He was a much better Lestat than Stuart Townsend, that's for sure. Of course, the film Queen of the Damned is like a generic version of the book. It's so watered down and forged by Hollywood that it isn't even close enough to the original to be considered a work by Anne Rice.

  • awesome!! love thise scene..

  • No one ever made a good vampire movie/game unfortunatelly so far.

On the other hand vampires are wrong understood by most of humankind.

they try to find a way to stay immortal and not beg the Gods for immortality like all the rest are doing.

And what i will really like is a game with this perspective were you can actually play as a vampire (ofcourse without the silver bullets, garlic, holy water,etc..)

and having some sort of life drain skill will be more than great.

    just a thought:)

  • @aqasenior Silver bullets arent for vampires thats werewolfs

  • i love how all the shit on youtube of this scene you cant embed...thanks a lot fuck heads...

  • is it just me or ist this video fucked up?

  • @vinnyvicious77 Nope just you.

  • @DovetheVampire so it's not playing weird to you? like fast and out of synch?

  • @vinnyvicious77 Nope I find it perfect.

  • @vinnyvicious77 Its about 15 seconds shorter than it used to be so the sound doesn't match the picture, not sure why.

  • @RiFFxxx Oh ok. Thanks. Too bad, I love this scene.

  • @vinnyvicious77 its fucked...

  • I love this movie!
