I was working there as well as a computer aided designer on a 5 months contract (may to sept 1998). Loads and excellent memories, loved the work, loved the friendly people, loved to climb on trucks or dismantling them, loved the food, including the greasy and juicy bacon and eggs rolls and milk for breakfast ;-)

Was driving by the old plant the other day. Sad to see such a huge building/employer reduced to wasteground. The story of British industry sadly.

they moved it to Poland as they can pay the Poles in Beetroots and Turnips.

The factory is being knocked down now to make way for the new Magnum.
The production has gone the way of most manufacturing and engineering in Scotland....Asia!
