If you don't understand steroids you should do some research on google. There are two different kind of steroids. One is for muscle building and one is for performance enhancing. Not every athlete wants big muscles like Governor Arnold. Ben Johnson used a muscle builing steroids. This is benefits the professional ball players than us. Yes, the steroids could have helped him ro we will just say the did, however; he wsa also playing at Texas stadium which has been known to inflate numbers. Not sure if it is as bad as Philly Stadium, but it's one of those stadiums.

1996: BA...358; 36 HR
1997: BA...300; 23 HR
1998: BA...310; 42 HR
1999: BA...285; 42 HR
2000: BA...316; 41 HR
All at Seattle and at a tougher Park to hit a HR.
Plus, prior to be a Pro, he was known as a Phenom.

He is doing well during the Yankees years as well. He could still be on something, this is true. Number tend to go up and down and you can check stats of past players. Hell, look at Roger Maris. Maybe he juiced for that year he broke the record.

Remember, if he is clean, which is still shady, he did hit 54 HRs, and batted .314 in the 2007 season. You would also have to see who is hitting around him in those years because sometimes, like the Manny effect, whoever hits before and after you can have an effect on your average/HRs...as well as injuries to those players and you of course.

He was a juiced player going up against juiced pitchers. Not everybody did it, but many did it.
And some, like Barry Bonds, they do it to balance out the playing field again. Players like him were the elite and others caught up...he didn't like it. He was still in the wrong, but shit happens. Not everybody can think with a clear, balanced, relaxed state of mind all the time.

From now on A-Rod is on that list with Clemens, Bonds, Palmero, McGwire as people who medically enhanced themselves with performance enhancing drugs to get better stats. Baseball has a black eye which will never fade and from 1995 to 2007, we will consider this the Steroid Era before manditory testing was even ever involved. So the numbers that were being inflated and the players who weren't naturally as good as him but have caught up because of PED, he shut them up when he took steroids to level the playing field back out.
The Natural Elite player was no longer ahead of the game because juicers were allowed to catch up. Bonds just said: FUCK YOU and A-Rod, I guess (since I'm not sure), caved as well.

If you don't understand steroids you should do some research on google. There are two different kind of steroids. One is for muscle building and one is for performance enhancing. Not every athlete wants big muscles like Governor Arnold. Ben Johnson used a muscle builing steroids. This is benefits the professional ball players than us. They make millions a year and driving a luxury car. We're just ordinary people.
