if theres snow in those mountains its gettin pretty late to be out there lookin for mushrooms there are some but usually pretty soggy mid-late oct is best wen u can find 100lb-200lb patches
I been mushroom hunting and it's very tiring, i've eaten all those mushrooms before, they are yummy. Mainly for chantrelles but we do come upon other kinds of edible ones too.
As brenten234 mentioned in one of the older comments, the book is called "All That The Rain Promises And More" and it's by David Arora. Great book for ID'ing west coast mushrooms.
i also live in bc, there are tons of shrooms in bc, Hope which is near chilliwack has massive patches of shroomies, i live more up north and theres alot here:)
