  • honestly my favorite is Tommy he is my idol

  • right now someone is discovering this video and punk at same and this fact prooves that punk is not dead

  • Ooooh, i love these songs! Too tought to die is one of their best albums.

  • I love Richie

  • great richie on vocals !! great ones !!

  • i love wart hog

    wild song

  • The Ramones in the early to mid 80s are my favorite era of them.

Joey looks and sounds healthy, which is good for him considering how unhealthy he was before and after the 80s

Dee Dee was laying off the drugs. Dee Dee wrote some great songs in Too Tough to Die, Subterranean Jungle, and a little bit of Animal Boy.

Richie is by far the best drummers for the Ramones. He was fast, he could sing in harmony which brought more life in the band, and he was just fast!

Johnny is just Johnny. But still good

  • fuuuuck!! this is one of my favorite ramones songs

  • richie ramone is like the Dr. Chud of the Ramones

  • This is a great set. Everyone's really showing their thing off, the guitar-feedback works, Dee-Dee is a hard motherfucker while Joey can sing a tonight-anthem like no other.

  • Awesome performance by Joey on the first song! =)

  • espectacular nunca pense ver estos videos y menos con richie

  • Richie And Dee Dee Fuckin' Shit Up!

  • Actually you all are wrong the best drummer the Ramones had was Clemm and Marky by far was the most consistant drummer they had. Richie will he was good the reason he was good because he was high o smack most of the time.

  • @101Vodoo Clem Burke was not with the band long enough to make much of an impact. His forte has always been Blondie. He and the ramones were never a good fit.

  • Joey Ramone FTW!

  • Johnny just can't hit a barre chord on a simple beat.

  • I dare to say, that Ritchie was by far the most skilled Ramones drummer ever. And also my favourite one. He's skilled, I like his playing style AND he sings back-up vocals.

  • i wish i was around wen punk was still awesome

  • This songs: wART HOG, Chasnig the nite and Mamas`boy!! and yes!!! Richie was the best drumer in The Ramones!!!

  • Amazing, Richie could play the drums that fast and do the chorus too.

Increible que Richie pueda tocar y hacer coros al mismo tiempo.

  • RAMONES \,,/ LONG LIVE ROCK N ROLL

  • @ThePunkrocker3 : the song's called mama's boy

  • whats the last song called???

  • mama's boy

  • Johnny´s Nike :D haha

  • MAS LOCO.. JAJAJA

  • Johnny´s favorite song

  • richie my favorite drummer he wrote and sang and could play good and fast

  • Marky had the best drum technique ever no one else in this world can play a 4-stroke beat with your thumb sry for my spelling and your point finger as fast as Marky can!!!!

  • yes, you are absolutly right. Although Richie had a cool style. Which is very difficult for a drummer: play and sing at the same time.

  • MAS LOCO.. JAJAJA

  • actually LOCO anymore...

  • The best ramones drummer...

  • @SalDOWN Stupiid guuy ¬¬

  • @isaacjaja I'm Sal. nice to meet you...

  • @isaacjaja I'm Sal. Nice to meet you.

  • @SalDOWN him and marky are cool

  • @SalDOWN Johnny Ramone - The worst Ramones guitarist...

  • @JesusSuckedGayPenis That makes no sense. He was the only Ramones guitarist.

  • @danielscissorhands Did I make your brain hurt lol ;)

  • les parece que en este video dee deee esta bien?

  • joey had an awesome voice

  • Ritchie rocked. Marky you're great too but I think Richie needs to be celebrated for a change.

  • the only ramones drummer that ever did backing vocals. i think ritchie was great and probably the best drummer they had from a technical stand point

  • Yeah, I think he did a lot of things drum wise that broke a bit from the template of Ramones drumming that Tommy set down and Marky followed (with more technique). Ritchie on the otherhand really brought his own approach which was a bit looser. He is a big band jazz drummer nowadays.

  • he's really good. check out the video of him doing a cover of the west side story theme. there is a link to it from this video.

  • Yeah, I saw that before. Awesome drummer. Seems like a good guy who just wanted some that "T-shirt money".

  • They should have just given him the damn T-shirt money.

  • AGREED!

  • ROFL

  • @lucybrown1 Tommy did backing vocals on their debut album for 3 songs (Judy Is a Punk, Chainsaw and I Don't Wanna Walk Around with You). He just wasn't credited (for vocals).

  • Richie- I'm Not Jesus!!!! Lakeside, O.J. and Gorilla Golf. Gotta talk dude.

  • wasnt chasing the night their longest song on record? and i have this show on dvd with a bunch of their others. Ramones live on!

  • Does somebody in which year this was ?

  • 1985

  • don´t forgive marke played on end of the century and pleasant dreams...wasn´t robotic to me, is punk rock, i don´t think you´re prettending any swing thing...also ramones said originally that they wanted to turn tock what it used to be before, like beach boys, j.r lewis, etc..simple and energic. it sounded clean, and fast...and marky´s finger technique was better for speed, than richie´s wrist...marky still can play that speed, and

  • Tommy, Marky, and Richie are all good, but I think Richie brought some real energy to the table! Also, he wrote some excellent songs.

What the &^#%* was Joey doing during Wart Hog? Not a comfortable song for a lead singer who's not singing!

  • Later gigs... I saw them in 90 & 91 (?) in Melbourne... Joey just wandered away and let CJ do the song. (I was a bit too "into it" to absorb the minutae of backing vocals.

  • haha yeah, but he couldn't leave the stage because between 1:30 min DD (or CJ) sreamed 1, 2, 3, 4!!!! and gotta go with the next song

  • if richie wanted t shirt money i would of gave it to him,i like marky and tommy but they couldnt play and sing at the same time

  • excactly!

  • Or maybe Marky and Tommy couldn't sing! haha

  • I heard that Marky used to sing sometimes during his performances after Ramones had broken.

  • @morozko69 The last thing you want to hear is Marc singing. There is a video on youtube of him singing, well sort of singing. He can't really keep a straight face. There is a good reason why he never sang with the ramones.

  • Johnny wore a Nike Shoes! :D

(Ramones, the best and my favorite band) \õ

  • richie had a very nice voice

  • Chasing the Night is a very good song.

  • agreed

  • Dee Dee is such a great bassist!

  • Marky and Richie are diferent styled drummers, they are different musicians who played in the same band, both played well what they had to. I think there´s no good or bad in art and music. Marky plays really faster and cleaner for eg in Loco Live, but that doesn´t make him better or worst than Richie. Reffering to Tommy, he did what he could, and didn´t sound too bad, taking to account that Ramones where beggining.

  • tht is very true in my opinion

  • I'd put Richies speed and agility behind the kit against Marky's any day. Marky turned drumming for the Ramones into a robotic art form; Richie was so friggin' live and fresh and, I believe, inherently faster than Marky. Tommy was the originator, but I believe Richie was the best drummer of the lot.

  • tommy ramone vive!

    lo encontraron, se escapo ...

fue todo un mentira para ganar plata!

si leiste esto y t la creistes....

    ss un gil

  • wart fucking hog!

    epic drummer

  • Richie was by far the best drummer they ever had. No contest..

  • richie ramone!!!!!!!!!

    1st- richie 2nd marky 3rd tommy

thats my ramones drummers ranking ^^

  • How come Tommy's last? Tommy was their best.the gigs from 74 to 78 sound the best with tommy behind the rogers kit..also you forgot elvis ramone clem burke did a few shows as elvis ramone

  • yea i know but that are my tastes xD

also i never count clem burke as a ramone... my mistake xD

  • Richie was the best ramones drummer, he participate in the 3 very best and harcore ramones records

  • richie is the best!

  • well he quit cos they mistreated him!

  • you dont quit the ramones kause your mistreated, you man it out, i mean joey and johnny didnt talk to each other, but they stuck iwht it, joey johnny and dee best members

  • XD

    ???

They kicked him out cuz he was pissed at them for not paying him PERIOD.

HE didnt even get any merch money.

The ramones are gods but they treated richie like dirt.

He really was a great drummer, and they just threw him away.

  • Dead right. HAILS to Richie.

  • he quit, they didnt fire him. he says so himself for the reason you mentioned.

  • Yeah well they threatened it a lot because they were really cocky but you are right, he actually quit right before two major show and thats where they had to fill his place in with Clem which was a disaster. So in a way it was a big middle finger to them from him.

But you are right, I realized that when I watched End of the Century recently.

  • Nice archive despite the really bad sound.

  • Damn i wish Richie had stayed its a shame they didn't trat him as a member and more of an asset

  • yeah very nice drummer

  • Here's what I love about this video: Joey's sleeping off what must have been an epic coke bender, DeeDee's either nervous or depressed or jonesing, Richie still seems to think he's in an actual band at this point, Johnny's half-assing and going thinking about the pounds to dollars exchange rate.

  • yeyeyeye

  • great drummer and great voice.. if only they put him on more t, shirts ....

warthog isa great tune, better fast as fuck, as it got live.. great no crap rocknroll.. nice one deedee..

  • i really love the ramones but...

richie's voice isn't very good. it's not bad, but i prefer deedee's or joey's voice

  • he is drummer, not singer!

  • It's kinda shame that Richie left just like that, he brought alot to he band

  • Awesome! I love "Too Tough To Die", that is a nice little album they made.Anybody who thinks they like punk should have that album in the collection.

  • I agree, i think its thier best album, i got the Sire re-release with all the bonus tracks, they are so fooking kickass!

    lol

  • I actually think it is up there with "Rocket to Russia". Great fuckin' album.

  • ernie90900

I just know how to find good things on internet ;D

  • they are on british tv and they play like 14 year old that what was cool about the ramones they were real punks nothing to prove

  • i like ritchie ramone's voice in this. its sound very deamonic

  • Great Ramones: Joey, Dee Dee, Johnny, Marky...the best in the band. Hey , Oh, Let's Go...Kato Ramone

  • When Dee Dee sings wart hog it reminds me of Dee Dee ramone I.C.L.C. in 1994. You can see it on youtube by punching up DEE DEE RAMONE TIME BOMB.

  • all it is boom tap and the high hat going on it

  • Yeah Richie Ramone Its The More Faster Of The Band.RAMONES RULEZ

  • does anybody know where i kind find the drum tabs for chasing the night?please

  • you dont really need drum tabs, its pretty easy to learn from listning and watching.

but i learn that way, so mabye im just speaking for myself.

  • there not for me there for my friend but do you know where i can find them?if not can you tabe um?please

  • Nah sorry, its pretty hard to find drum tabs.

And no, i cant write tabs, im more of a notation writer.

    sorry man.

  • i can help out a little..i can give you the basic beat and then you can find out the rest.

i'll send it in a message whenever i get some time

  • ok thanks.

  • I agree. No drums tabs...just flow with Johnny's guitar and Dee Dee's bass.

  • ya thats what i thought

  • Richie sang chorus with Dee Dee.

  • Richie was the best ramones hes such a good sing there are ramones versions of human kind and chasing the night where richie was vocals

  • Everybody who was in this band for a long or short time was a Ramone. The Ramones were awesome!!!!

  • umm ok just to response to ssiknick83's comment Cj was a Ramone. He was in the band for 7 years if anybody wasn't a Ramone it would be Richie since he was in the band for like only 4 years

  • Yeah but Ritchie was in the Ramones for longer than Tommy was.

Anyway, everyone that was in the Ramones is a Ramone.

  • did richie sing the chorus on the studio version cuz it seems like dee dee is singing it

  • cool vid! never seen that footage before.

  • yea i'm sorry, no offence to the guy but CJ is not a ramone, just a replacement guy when dee dee left.

  • dd the best ramone ever

  • best ramones epoca!

  • fcking FAST drums... i luv it!!!

  • he said "take some dope"

  • unforgetable

    the kings of punk rock.....

  • "Death to timid pop."

    Amen, brother!

  • I thought he said "Death to silly pop". Whatever, he was right...

  • aguante loko muy buenos los coros de richie barbaro aguante los ramones

  • richie is a sick drummer and i love his vocals. DEE DEE is the best though. it's funny how joey just wobbles around during wart hog

  • Go Richie!

  • sono daccordo richie fu il migliore baterista dei ramones!!!!

e sono stati dei coglioni al cacciarlo via per non dargli piu soldi, li meritava

  • they wasent giving richie any merchandies sale-money

  • Richie for one reason he left the ban because they treated to richie like a shit

  • no... its because marky had come back from rehab and recovered from his alcohol addiction

  • Richie is great!

  • Yeah richie's contribution is underated

  • i have songs that richie sings like humankind, chasing the night(demos), smash you, elevator elevator(dempe studios) and the unreleased track can´t say anything nice, i thinks there is more

  • where did you find those versions?

  • i dont remenber well, but if you want it, give me your email adress fot give those

  • Yeah, Richie deserves credit! I would've loved to see him and C.Jay in the Band together.

  • C.Jay isnt a real ramone man no one can replace whaat DEE DEE did for the band

  • exactly the wart hog would be thes best song with thes fastness uf what song

  • richie never got the credit he deserved he was in the band longer than tommy yet all the t-shirts and other items include tommy instead of richie. marky has got 1 or 2 things but seriously richie was great

  • what is the name of the third song?.. need it

  • "Mamas Boy" from the "Too tough To Die" album

  • Mama`s Boy and its off "Too Tough To Die" and i guess this performance was near when Too Tough To Die came out cause all of these songs are all on Too Tough To Die

  • what is the name of the third song.. ??..

  • richie saved the ramones...at least for awhile.

  • CHASING THE NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

  • richie is a great..

  • richie sucks on drums, hes good but its not the same, it is like dio replacing ozzy in sabbath its just not the same, thats where the ramones went after they replaced dee dee and markey. but there still the best!

  • Do you even know something about drumming? Technically Richie was the best drummer Ramones ever had. Wart Hog would never have sounded the same without Richie on drums and vocals. His work with the band are underated.

  • I have to agree. I saw them in '86 with Richie and later on with Marky and Richie was the better drummer. He made them play faster as well. The gig lasted 55 minutes, so there was time for more encores.

We'll never see their likes again, dammit.

  • No, he played on three albums: "Too Tough to Die", "Animal Boy" and "Halfway to Sanity".

  • Richie wasn't fired, he left after 5 years (longer than Tommy) because when it was convient for the band he was Richie Ramone but when it came to other stuff (like merchandise money) he was just a hired hand. And he got sick of it.

Anyway, good video. Richie was by far the best Ramones drummer.

  • Actually Richie was only with them for two albums. after that Marky returned after he spent some time drying out.

  • Yup, somebody else played on Halfway to sanity. He's on the cover but that was shot before he left. I don't have the book with me, but the biography Hey Ho, Let's Go clears up things a bit.

  • He did play on the album. He left before it was released however.

Left in August '87, album released September '87. Reportedly argued with Johnny during the mixing prior to leaving,(though this is not the reason he left) so had to have played on it.

  • You could be right and I probably confused it with Marky's departure. I'll have to check it again. Nevertheless, the guy was a great drummer.

  • Yeah, I think Billy Rath stepped in for Marky in Subterranean Jungle. Totally agree with you nonetheless. Richie added a totally different feel and touch to The Ramones, especially live. Great drummer.

  • I was lucky enough to see this line up in 1986. That was excellent...then year previous he played a gig in Belgium with a busted hand. That story can be found in On the road with the Ramones.

  • Richie's story is like something out of Spinal Tap. Right after he joined his girlfriend started pressuring him to demand more money. They got sick of it and fired him.

  • Richie has been by far ramones best drummer

  • A rare find! Richie wasn't on drumes for too long and this is the first time I have actually seen Dee Dee sing with the Ramones! Thanks for posting

  • Thank you! I've never seen this before.

  • abstract city don´t give a damn

  • increibleeee!!! richie hacia los coros??

  • @Ramonancho see el compuso somebody put someting in my drink y im not jesus y me parece que otro mas pero no me acuerdo. andaba re bien el tipo yo recien ayer vi el video genial!!!!!
