sounds to me like your thermostat is stuck half open, or partialy open. So when you stop or go slow the coolant is flowing at a slower pace. but when your at a faster speed forcing the coolant to move faster via the water pump which in turn keeps the bike cool! Make sense? My bet is replace the thermostat and your back in business! let me know.
