Is anyone else having issues loading the entire video? I bought an apple TV and a dedicated internet connection just to watch this. But it seems the video only loads to a certain point (varies) then just hangs and I have to start over.
Can we separate the long vids between speed trials and Fleet racing? I'm hooked!
Is it just me or is there way to much twist in the jibs. I have never sailed with a wing sail but it does not seem they are getting the right air flow over the middle of the wing to make a matter if they have a jib or not. The foot of the jib is compressing the flow where it is not needed. I noticed team energy callling to ease the jib in the speed trials but it the angle of attack that seems wrong. Would someone with wing experience please correct me on this.
We are talking seconds apart most of the time on the speed trials! That tells me the field is very close as far as talent and equipment is concerned. The difference in breeze was what was mostly at play it seemed. I would love to see this in person! A harbinger of greatness to check out is a fantastic instructional Sport Cat DVD starring some of our guys in the ACWS. Le dvd du catamaran de sport. The copy I got was PAL but had english translation.
Still too quick on the scene changes. not bad during the regular coverage, BUT the intermission segment had too many sub-second scenes. PLEASE tell the director/editor that this is a problem. Not all the viewers are young gamers that like it. It would be better to have few scenes that we have time to comprehend and enjoy. PLEASE!!. The overall event coverage is great, But for the US venues especially please use Tucker, his grammar and style fit the American public much better.
She is and "expert" but she is also trying to communicate sailing lingo and translate that to for the general public. Perhaps that is the source of some of the terminology issues.. I think it is good they are educating the non sailing viewers.
Network TV can bite my shiny metal butt. This is incredible coverage and the series should be proud for presenting such an awe inspiring package! Thanks ACWS!
My theory is that the marker boats are forward of the finish line. So the racing boats are dropping a hull and slowing down, not realizing that the line is another few yards past the marker boats. They could have gone so much faster!
WHY COULDN'T WE HAVE THIS LEVEL OF FOOTAGE DURING THE VERSION 5 BOAT ERA, THE NEW BOATS ARE RUBBISH

Who ever the female announcer is,she needs to learn some basic sailing terminology before she speaks into a microphone again!
