  • It doesn't have to be complicated to be good.

  • Not that's what I like to hear. Songs the way they were recorded. That's the way I remember it & play it on my B3. I think Booker has his B3 set like this.....He has the 1st four percussion drawbars pulled all the way out w/2nd percussion & a bit of vibrato. Maybe some reverb. That's how I set my B3 and it sounds identical.....herbiethebarber

  • For all of you who enjoy classic sixties videos check out my channel Rememberthesixties I have hundreds of great videos like this

  • Booker-Was a pleasure to have jammed with you in Memphis back in '68.

  • And this is Live ! When Clint asked booker to write a song for his movie , bet he never thought it would be ten times better than the movie.

  • And this is Live !

  • Can anybody play this song as good as Booker T. In a word...no!

His musical expression through the organ is awesome!

  • @ImDougSince55 Oh - I think most of us who play can master this in ... about two minutes. There's really nothing complicated about it.

  • That's Anton Fig on drums.

    Awesome band.

  • Really enjoyed this last night at WOMAD. Awesome tune :)

  • EPIC!

  • wundervoll

  • Love it this song kinda sounds like a NFL films song

  • also my favorite besides thisone in green onions iam latino but i digged booker t beat and style. what a great key board

  • How good are these blokes? Class.

  • Frontiere, Dominic

  • muito bom !!!!!

  • This is my favorite recording by Booker T and the MGs. I always liked the sound of the organ on thier performance of "Hang 'em High" - how it goes from vibrato to a straight tone. Cool.

  • Cropper & Dunn were an integral part for both The Blues Brothers movies & for Bob Dylan's 1990 30th Anniversary concert.

  • Way cool, timeless.

  • classic remake of this great song, booker t, duck dunn and cropper do it best,

  • jeah, love this.

  • killer!!

  • This sounds too clean.

  • @kutbaag Musicians of the day WERE clean, or they didn't do gigs. They had to pay serious attention to the actual craft of their professions. That's why the classics hold up to this day.

  • Al Jackson is dead.

  • @zipsrule Yes killed during what we call today a "home invasion".

  • I started a marching band in the town of hilton ny with a group of friends and this is one of the songs we play as our signature songs

  • very nice ! です.

  • Tight stuff, this is some incredible music. Thanks for the upload.

Hartstok , I don't know who you were replying to, but that "house of sh.t" had me about to fall out of my chair laughing, that'll teach em to mess with you. LOL

  • @larryboyofok please shut the fuck up

  • Thanks for uploading this song (Tune Radio Veronica)

  • I wonder why they play this song everytime the away team scores a goal at a Phoenix Coyotes home game?

  • @Cluez31 why not ;-)

  • Thanks for posting this Great Sound. It went away for a while.

  • baddest band ever

  • then why listen to their music? -.- If you do not like Go and listen to your "music" house of shit, nob which are nothing

  • @GreenDaveDefoeSt

Dumbasses - "Baddest" as in James Brown / Superfly type of "BAD" - a compliment of the highest nature.

I listen to the MG's almost daily. Get a clue.

  • Tekes me back to Filey in yorkshire 1969 great times, gone for ever.

  • @GreenDaveDefoeSt I knew you meant "Baddest" as in "fucken awesome" & I agree. You know, I like this version better than the others, it's the one I remember as a kid. "Wicked" sounds man!!

  • Great Sound from a Great Man!

  • Listen this in Pori Jazz 2009 Live, and boy's it was fucking awsome!

  • These guys will be great long after they're gone. I remember playing their stuff in the late 60's.

  • How can you call a band with Cropper, Dunn, Willie Hall, and Matt Murphy doing authentic American Soul and Blues a novelty act? Get over yourself snob.

  • its ironic that they're critized for making music that crossed over into film/comedy since the cover they're playing in this was originally in a clint eastwood movie.

And their most well known song is famous because it was in American Graffiti.

Just because some movie music sucks doesn't mean it all does, clearly these guys don't do crappy music.

  • @staxmantim agree strongly.

  • AMEN!!

  • SOOOO....DAMN.....COOL!!!!

  • Freakin sick!

  • I just bought tickets to see this band June 10 at Joe's Pub!!!!!!

    So awesome!

  • Best in American music!

  • That Was Sweet Bro Thx!!!
