That was what the boat operators warned us of, but the shark actually turned towards us. We were all scared of frightening it off, but apparently it was a young one, and was more curious than scared of us. Luckily it didn't dive and hung around a bit longer.
Humans are simply too big to be food and they would probably "choke" to death or something ^^
I can not realy imagine the shark being able to pull of some killer manouvers to attack oO
I suppose it is not realy affraid of smaller beings like humans, when you swim towards them (that's how you make sure you don't miss them when you get of the boat) the shark will not try to avoid you and will simply go on and bump into you ^^
Oh my lord that is such a beautiful animal they are so graceful I'd love to snorkel with one of them one day, but I'm happy I got to snorkel with some wild dolphins in warnbro sound just off the beach today :P
Are they dangerous? Beautiful looking things though.

Oh well done people watch the shark forget to move out of the way, almost bump into it => shark gets pissed off and submerges good job ;)
Happend to our group once because they screwed up the drop off and we more or less jumped right on top of it oO

Id only imagen a whale shark deliberately trying to hit you if you tried grabbing it or something when it does not want to be.
