H16 is fast boat and going beam reach to beam reach is, well SLOW, guess they had to stay in camera range instead of sailing with wind. Admit the tacks are tacky.

it depends on both your skill level, confidence on the water and experiance. if you are new to catamarans, and dont have a lot of previous sailing experiance then a hobie 16 is not your best choice, seeing as a lot of them are sloop, and require the use of trapeze, plus a hobie 16 is a pitchpole whore, opposed to a sl16 or nacra f18, they are also very unresponsive, because of the asymmetrical hull design

Get a hobie, you ill ge bored with a laser. cats go so fast you will think ur going faster every time you sail it. its really gets the adrenaline pumping. with a laser you will like it the 1st 5 times
