  • IN THE END ALCOHOL POISONING HOW AND WHY SOMEONE DIES IS A REFLECTION OF WHO YOU ARE!

  • No offense, I am sure he had alot to teach.

but How do you justify a teacher that made a lot of students to become your lovers ?

  • @bigfatdick5000 It sounds strange to us and with good reason (given the many cults that we've seen brainwash people), but hey, maybe this fellow made it really work--as in he had open but functional, real relationships... Who knows? From the statements made in this video, he seems to have done everything not to be a hypocrite. Good for him--and his friends (P.S. This is the first time I've ever heard of him).

  • If you're from the Hudson Valley region of New York, be sure to check out "Crazy Wisdom" at the Rosendale Theatre tomorrow night, 7:15 PM

  • This film is currently being shown as part of Cornell Cinema's Tibet Trio in Ithaca, New York. Another film apart of this inspiring trio is "My Reincarnation", a remarkable documentary by Jennifer Fox. The film follows Yeshi, a man who struggles between his own desires and the destiny chosen for him as reincarnated Tibetan leader. The trailer gives a great look at what the documentary has to offer: Check out the screening March 8&11

  • @daophos Of course, AA has always been accepting of ALL beliefs, so he would have never had any trouble that way. He just didn't want it.

  • hi

  • Oh boy did this film ever make me cry!

  • A great portrayal of such in an inspirational persona, Chogyam's trust in the inherent goodness of the self is vividly shown in this documentary. It's a story to have and see over and over again.

  • Kickstarter say the film is fully funded and more.

  • When can I buy a DVD titled "Crazy Wisdom?" That is the question.

  • ♥♥❤✿ Peace, loving kindness and wisdom without borders to all ••●●♥♥❤✿ Very interesting documentary about Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. We like his Dharma books : Cutting through spiritual materialism and others.

  • He said, "At this particular point I am on the verge of becoming enlightened and when people get to this point, they either go crazy or they attain realization."

(Great quote at the 52 second mark of the video)

  • He mastered all demons except sex. People can be raised above social rule by themselves or others. Egomania in pop culture can happen anywhere but awareness. Folks start trying to hang on for xyz. Distribution of power vs raw tendency is a huge factor too. Set up/ size. Consequently, Krishnamurti refused the standard of teaching/ having followers. Steep implications but the video does show how duality (non-monogamy) can exist & not necessarily dilute or cross contaminate true. A rare animal.

  • @asana1973 - maybe he mastered the language enough to put it to use for the west ripe and ready for Eastern thoughts and he became an expert in spiritual materialism probably from knowing how to sell his words and theories so well. I love the guy but wouldn't care to dehumanize him by thinking he was anything above the cycle of master and clown like us all

  • @manyhumbles - I forgot to add that all said it is only my little humble meaningless idea and have nothing other than my love of his books (especially spiritual materialism) and the fact that he kept succumbing to all the best and worst there was to offer. I also love the whole drunken joke shop thing because it is the essence of how our Universe makes us take notice. It is mythology for the ages.

  • @manyhumbles sex almost always seems to be the culprit..why not something like eating too many oreos..ha. thats just me..i wonder how folks balance obligations to faith & personal life..depends on the faith..buddhism & non-monogamy can go together.."devotion counts." I dont see this with Vedanta..they are not big dividing the prana..especially on purpose...what goes together vs what doesn't...what the faith suggests vs what it doesnt...what people decide to do with it vs what they dont..

  • @asana1973 - good question and I bet he did love oreos too much - that's just it -does it matter what act/desire/compulsion is succumbed to since ego steals the helm&is gratified &validated while keeping the practice of self mastery at bay? It's all raw energy in the form of desire & true beauty for the making. Can you imagine the starring role that ego must have wanted in all that drama for someone with his desire and raw energy? Good stuff! Humility must be hard when you are idolized.

  • @asana1973 I don't think Trungpa had any problems with sex. Read his wife's biography, she had a happy life with him and then she had a new boyfriend (M. Levy) who was Trungpa's doctor. She had kids with Trungpa and with Levy, and the THREE of them lived together happily with no problem. If there was a 'demon he didn't master', it would have to be alcohol, because it led him to a premature death.

  • @longde Ironically, there are many Buddhist-oriented AA groups now that would've helped him, and he would have been a great contribution to them as well!

  • He also died of alcoholism and appointed someone to succeed him that infected a lot of people with the Aids virus. He was human- not perfect. He left a legacy of thought that is enduring. I was at his funeral in Karma Cholling in Vermont. The Buddhists Rinpoches came from Nepal blowing horns. There were multiple rainbows above when his body was put in the stupa for cremation.I am not a Buddhist. I learned from him Shambala and more. He taught on many levels - about being human is to be divine.

  • I was trying to understand why people allowed so much with Trungpa and it suddenly occurred to me that if one can't train or control all their demons then embrace them and make 'em pretty and make 'em dance and if that fails then make them as lucrative as hell. (he crashed into a Joke Shop Window and was party paralized) or I mean partly.
