did you know the obelisk is an ancient symbol that represents the male penis? Also in ancient times sacrifices were offered to the sun god which is symbolized in the obelisk
Washington, DC is the center of the state management system of the country, which aims in addition to the internal governance, external world domination! Does not work, because you have power and finances will not be enough to control the world! You look like the endangered race! Hello from Russia!
Fantastic I'd love to go... The music gets me thinking of 2012 & the great awakening that is forecast by the ancients including Mayan inca egyptian African-shamans Aztecs NZ-maori and others
It was a cold winter day... i didn't mean for it to be spooky.. just wanted to give u a fair idea how the day was. Ideally, tours of Washington DC should be done in the summer.. the pictures of lush green trees and rich lawns are way better.
I LOVE Washington, D.C. I just spent ten days there and have visited many times. I'm so proud of her. She is a very clean city, and I wish to thank people that live there for making our Capital shine. It's such a haunting, beautiful place so enriched in our history both bad and good. It's somewhat of a small city, but so important! Every American should see the two most beautiful views in the Nation. Lincoln>Mall;(2)U.S.Capitol>Mall.! Love our beautiful Capital City!
if you've never been to DC. You have to add to your list of places to visit. This is the heart of America and so much history. Great city and lots to do!
It's never really that cold. Maybe a bit chilly in the winter months, but in September, the weather should be really nice. I live right outside of DC, in MD and we have the same weather as DC.
Can someone tell me if it is freezing cold in September, there in Washington D.C.? Because I live in Houston, Texas and I was going there during summer. SO far this is going to be the 4th place I've visited so far, and I really want to enjoy it.
(California, Florida, Bahamas, and then Washington D.C.)
I live 50 miles away. DC, when you get outta the tourist bit, its just like other cities. its got nice bits i will say,(been there too many times to count) but its also got tons of crappy bits too. but if u have the chance to go, go! it since, especially in springtime.
I want to go to DC so much! There is just so much to see! Im going for a school field trip next year so....Yeah! Top ten places I want to visit: 1.DC 2.New York City 3.London 4.Australia 5.Tokyo 6.Hong Kong 7.Paris 8.Rome 9.Moscow 10.Disney World lol 999,999,999,999.Antarctica
Its not a state so it doesn't get special treatment as the capital. The capital is not supposed to be represented but people who live their want it. Which his stupid because that's hwy it was built there in the first place.
you know what's really stupid? The new MLK monument is going to be the only statue taller than lady liberty on the top of the capital. I have nothing against MLK but I don't think anything should be taller than lady liberty
Really can't forget this place. I remember looking a for a shopping mall. I kept asking people: ''Is there a Mall around here?'' - Yeah, Yeah! Right across this street. Looking back that was Bloody pathetic..
D.C. sucks. More than half the city is nothing but niggers and as a result a dump that not even decent blacks what to be part of. There has been some gentrification lately that has propagated some progress and good pussy to the place, but still... Only the north-western part bordering Rockville, Maryland has something to show and worth, because even Capital Hill has nothing outside the museums, not even a decent plaza with restaurants. Ok, is not Detroit; but still, for living you can keep it.
You must live in Langley Park with all the other illegal wetbacks, I live in Georgetown but the rest of DC is just fine. And to be blunt the amount of crime in DC suspiciously increased with the amount of hispanics. 330 of the 535 members of Congress take residence within DC and not just NW. As well as most cabinet members and appointed officials who wouldn't be caught dead beyond the border of DC. And the infamous South East, while densely populated, is only about one sixth of DC. I love DC.
Yeah RonnyJR, the rest of DC besides north-west is tremendous but you yourself live in north-west, Georgetown no less. Not even north-east right? What's the matter? Give me a break. Oh, and sorry Ms. Cleo, I'm not an indian from Salvador. Plus, they don't even amount to 10% of DC's population, they live in the suburbs. Wasting your republican vote every 4 years on that welfare district must also be loving? That withing the border story is shit. Most of the growth and money is in Virginia.
like it it is sad and reminds me of my friend that was sadly killed last yearbecause of reading chain letters and now that you have read this eshe will slowly kill you hear a ring in ear she will make your life shorter by a day post this to five different vids to be saved sorry
Are you asking if it's expensive or if i like living here? Expensive, yeah but with the crappy economy these days...everywhere is expensive. But I've lived here my whole life and i love it here. It's awesome. Any other questions just ask :)
Yes actualy I have lot of questions, maybe I gonna live in WDC next year, and I'm making some reseaching on the web, but is always good to know from someone who lives there. So, where is the best area and how much wold be the rent for a place with 3 bed. 2 bath.? Thank you !
Make sure you check out condos by the metro. The metro is really great and you can get dropped of anywhere. Um, the cost depends on where you are. The closer you are to the city, the more expensive it'll be. It's like anywhere else.
I just got back from Washington D.C. It was a great trip, my school is Roosevelt Middle in Zanesville, OH. If anyone from my school sees this, please reply.
Thank you for posting- just got back from a trip to DC- amazing. Humbling. I found my dad's friends name on the Vietnam Memorial, was silenced at Lincoln's presence and had chills from the Korean Memorial. I want to go back. Perfect songs to play to these clips. Thanks again...
are u kidding me. have u seen other countries capital city? and have u been to dc by your self? its pretty overthre. u must be from alabama or mississipi.
This must be a joke. I have traveled to all 4 capitals that you mentioned- all have their pros and cons. DC is even better away from the monuments/federal district (although those are awe-inspiring)...look at neighborhoods like Georgetown, Dupont Circle, Adamns-Morgan, Alexandria, Logan Circle, U-Street, etc
Thank God for you, you too see what I see in DC. I've traveled to 32 US States, 16 countries, and visited all the mentioned cities at leasts three times each (with the exception of Moscow) and I'm confident DC is far superior. I've lived on 16th Street, just off of Mass. Ave, and now live in Georgetown and I adore this city. Cities around the country now model themselves after Georgetown. We Rock. I don't know what I'd do if I had to move.
I couldn't agree with you more. I lived in NoVa for 16 years and worked (and partied) in DC and I moved back up to Alaska 2 years ago. I miss that city sooooo much! Don't ever move. It is truly amazing there.
alabama??? hahaha.. ive been to bama..actually lived in mobile, al for a year. Alabama is weird. Although the food is good. But gosh... its so boring overthere..
Yeah, I know. When someone in D.C. asked me where I was from and responded with Alabama he was kinda surprised because I have no southern accent whatsoever, even though I have lived in Huntsville all my life. He thought I was from California. But I know what you mean when you say it is boring here. Although Huntsville has a reputation for being one of the few interesting cities in Alabama.
haha. ive been to huntsville. yeah i remember when i see young people hanging out in wallmart parkinglot. But i think Bama aint as bad as what people think. altough i still remember being bombarded with racist slogan in bama, i can say i still miss bama. Especially the Food!
Nonsense, do you see Israel sprewing rants against us like Europe does? We saved Europe in WWII and helped them get back on their feet and look how they treat us now. And yes, the US knew that something was going to happen but not 9/11 as you think. Israel gave the US good intelligence, but the snobs, the sociopaths or whatever you want to call them screwed up. Again, Israel didn't screw up, it was the fuckups in the US who screwed up. And as for the 9/11 conspiracies, malarkey
Just because Israel warns us about potential attacks that doesn't mean they planned them. Israel warned us about a potential attack on american soil prior to 9/11, but we ignored them and look what happened. Israel is our friend believe it or not. Israel has far more superior intelligence gathering when it comes to islamic terrorism, heck it's their primary enemy.
In 1983 I was a Marine and I went to Jerusalem for a day. Do they still use green painted border lines to keep certain religions away from one another? I crossed this line to go buy food from a vendor while in my uniform and I got hissed at and whispered at to "Go back now". I remember witnessing an egg fight too, little kids started it.
In November of that same year I was in southern Lebanon at the time when the PLO Exodus began.
Well u seem to have alot of stories, I never heard of these green lines although, However there is something called the green border, but offcourse its not a line, its a real stone border, between Israel and Palestinian territories, they keep muslims away from Jews, but Christian are usually allowed to cross the line,,,, but my question is why did u get out, why didnt you stay and took all the arabic lands,,
It was a green painted line, painted on the ground and this painted line also extended upwards on the walls of two buildings. It was an alley way in describing where a vehicle could just barely pass through it. There were no vehicles though, too congested with vendors for that. I was wearing my Marine uniform, I guess that's why I was hissed at. Others were kind though.
I didn't have time to tour, I was with my superiors who were investigating the Marine barracks bombing.
i kinda agree with you. I practically live near dc and i keep thinking there's nothing special here. but i know that i take this thing for granted so i wouldn't know how much it means to people for when they come here. The national monuments are nice, but go to northeast dc and you'll find the place really ghetto
When I drive by Old Ironsides and the Old State Meetinghouse, I take it for granted because I see it so many times. But when friends and family from out of state come to visit, I urge them to walk the freedom trail in Boston and to go see the Pilgrim Plantation in Plymouth.
But be careful if you ever go visit the Bunker Hill monument in Charlestown. The teenagers there are always looking to cause trouble.
you aint an American are you? because if you are, you need to hit the History and Govt books a bit dude, either that or look for some property to move to thats NOT under a rock.
hey....i just got back from there 2 days ago. And at the world war 2 memorial, (not sure if they had it when you were there since its fairly new), they put in a guge center fountain and a wall of stars ?(which was probly there) and another fountain in front of that wall of stars.....just lettin you know since you missed out on that. hope you enjoyed your trip cause it looks like it. and i really enjoyed mine.
Haha no the small section of the Pentagon that was struck was fixed very fast, the Pentagon is a massive building. Washington D.C. and America amazing places and maybe some of our politicians have made some mistakes in the past America will certainly rebuild her image that may have been tarnished because of recent events... remember after Vietnam the U.S. had no reputation and then Ronald Reagan came along.
My daughter and I just went to DC for the first time. We were there for a conference and spoke to our Senators and Congresswoman. It was a wonderful experience and a really amazing place---almost Romanesque. Your video was very well done! Thanks
well...i've been to D.C last week and it was a bit dissapointing...especially the pentagon tour which...I prefer Manhattan as it is more spectacular... although it was worth visiting D.C. for once
DC is not a safe place to bring your family. The police are afraid of the Salvadoran gang MS13 and the black gangs. The police will protect monuments and give you parking tickets, but if you get raped, beaten or assaulted, you are on your own here. You have been warned.
hey usahallburninhel...Bullshit!! you are a damn paranoid!! by the way you talk you may be one of those folks from the neigbor states of virginia or west virginia!! go back to your hill, hillbillie!!DC is not like that!
I live in Dc now :) and it is a calm and seems a great place to live in

I crossed this line to go buy food from a vendor while in my uniform and I got hissed at and whispered at to "Go back now". I remember witnessing an egg fight too, little kids started it.
In November of that same year I was in southern Lebanon at the time when the PLO Exodus began.

Well u seem to have alot of stories, I never heard of these green lines although, However there is something called the green border, but offcourse its not a line, its a real stone border, between Israel and Palestinian territories, they keep muslims away from Jews, but Christian are usually allowed to cross the line,,,, but my question is why did u get out, why didnt you stay and took all the arabic lands,,
ChristianArabian 3 years ago
ChristianArabian,
It was a green painted line, painted on the ground and this painted line also extended upwards on the walls of two buildings. It was an alley way in describing where a vehicle could just barely pass through it. There were no vehicles though, too congested with vendors for that. I was wearing my Marine uniform, I guess that's why I was hissed at. Others were kind though.
I didn't have time to tour, I was with my superiors who were investigating the Marine barracks bombing.

im in dc now
but it aint nothin special aint nothin but some pretty buildins dats all
xXcarnellschickXx 3 years ago
i kinda agree with you. I practically live near dc and i keep thinking there's nothing special here. but i know that i take this thing for granted so i wouldn't know how much it means to people for when they come here. The national monuments are nice, but go to northeast dc and you'll find the place really ghetto
Sinigang13 3 years ago
When I drive by Old Ironsides and the Old State Meetinghouse, I take it for granted because I see it so many times. But when friends and family from out of state come to visit, I urge them to walk the freedom trail in Boston and to go see the Pilgrim Plantation in Plymouth.
But be careful if you ever go visit the Bunker Hill monument in Charlestown. The teenagers there are always looking to cause trouble.

whats the building at 5:28???
khm3rboi215 3 years ago
Um, the building at 5.28 is the White House.
Welcome to my hometown. I was born and grew up here.
Anyone who thinks that DC isn't special...is blind.
ladylejean215 3 years ago

Please tell me that question was a joke.
No, the White House is on the east coast, not the west coast.

here's a fact: no building in dc is allowed to be taller that the capitol
penguinslovehockey 3 years ago 2
Actually, the law is that no building not currently standing can be built more than 20 feet taller than the width of the street adjacent to it.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

You wouldn't want to live in dc. It's a very bad section of town in the residential area.
Mattdylan101 4 years ago
DC is not a safe place to bring your family. The police are afraid of the Salvadoran gang MS13 and the black gangs. The police will protect monuments and give you parking tickets, but if you get raped, beaten or assaulted, you are on your own here. You have been warned.
ushallburninhell 4 years ago
oh shut up your not stopping anyone form going to dc. you pussy. you wanny see a ghetto infested with gangs travel to Detriot.
