i miss him!!! he was the best singer i think i have seen american idol every have!!! sure he cant hit all the high notes and go crazy like all the other singer but look at his stage presence... he is absolutly amazeing! he is always smileing, he is always professional, and he brought a whole different genre of music to the show.... this was his best performance, he's right in his element for a rare moment on idol. LIke I said on another video, Idol wasn't a good showcase for him becuase the majority of the songs are pop music which he's awful at. if this was purely a big band competition he would have rocked it!

I think he is very good. His voice is very suitable for jazz and big band sounds. Alot better than Micheal Buble. Buble's jazz voice is like a forced effort to be charming.

I think what Simon really meant was that John did not have much stage presence at that time. I think John definitely had charisma, a quiet charisma. I don't think he could have survived Croc Rock/My Girl(and yes I am a fan) without it.
