I just love the lithium induced Emails you get. I love to watch the segments when I need a pick me up. I'm sorry you get them but thanks for sharing them!
@n3qdz Thanks for the note. Remember though that for every one of these goofy emails I get, another 1000 totally legit ones come in. The ones I use in these videos are more fun than bothersome.
Tool snobs are the worst kind of folk Tom, I have all sorts of tools both power and hand, I use what is appropriate for the job at hand all the while considering the time constraints I'm under.
Power tools are the best and if you can hook them up to a computer and let the computer do the work they are even better. Having said that, we have an old time carpenter at work doing a job during a power outage cutting a full sheet of ply at a 45 deg angle with a handsaw absolutely perfect- when I asked him how the hell he did it - "it's just how you position yourself behind the saw". I have a lot of respect for both the hand and power tool users. Making stuff should be fun regardless.
Hand tools vs. power tools. Wouldn't that pretty much depend on the individual? Such as funds, space, skill level, etc.?
Similar divisiveness exists in machining technology between the "manual" machinists and the "computerized" (CNC) machinists. I think it's juvenile and useless.
@Bear5177 It really is up to the individual to use whatever tools they want. There are a few who think that it must be done theri way or it's wrong. The key there is that there are few of them and lots of reasonable people. Have fun, use the tools that you want and don't worry about the nay-sayers.
@thintz12 too true ! ignore the jealous people in this world ! jealous of the tools you use , jealous of the SKILLS you have , keep up the good work ,
Fantastic. You're mykind of guy. One of the things thast seperates us from our tree bound cousins is the use AND invention of tools. Anyone who doesn't use the easiest, most accurate tool for the job is wasting time.
Question. Did you turn that bat yourself? Looks damned handy to me
LOL! Thanks for reading us some of your emails and the entertainment. I enjoy your presentations and think they are well thought through.
