I may not have gotten the HTC Sense 3.0, but I got the 2.3 Gingerbread. Lost all my apps I downloaded but those can be easily attended. @JuannyTheGiant It is not necessary. I just recommend so that if anything goes wrong with the rom, you don't lose all you data or if you simply wanted to go back to stock. If you don't do a android backup, and something fails, you would have to re-install the rom or try a different one, and to get back to stock, you would have to factory reset the phone (I have a video on that if needed).

if you can't get the free from manager look up from manager.apk and find the one that says 4share and download that one. it worked for HTC hero

installing android 2.3 worked fine but after installing google apps as directed didn't boot my phone..:( a creen came after cynogen icon saying "welcome to hero" and other two options are emergency call and change language and showing touch the android icon to begin. but touching the icon didn't bring my home screen. Its a total mess installing google apps. How to remove them and recover.

@jhverdream well i got it to work, i was bein dumb and not realizing that on a mac when i download a zip it automaticly converts it, but now for somereason my phone just wont take the rom. like i scroll and click yes and it starts do do it but then just goes back to the restart system screen

@MrQuadballs To do it on a mac, make sure you have auto un-zip off, the phone can not read the un-zipped file.

hey, i got the download to work but now when i go into recovery mode and clear everything then go to my roms folder then go to the update-cm-7/ (no .0.0) it doesnt give me a yes option anywhere. just takes me to two other folders with lost of other things in them. if you can help me id appreciate it, thanks

@TheKrogerFeet  Restart your phone, the open (RomManager). Flash the ClockworkModRecovery again.

While doing the, make sure the app is active, do not leave the app or let the phone sleep till it is finished. If nothing happens, make sure the app has root access. Then finish the steps in the video.

@tk3667 Ok, if you backed up your stock rom, go back into recovery, then go to backup/restore. From there, click restore, then chose your stock backup. If you didn't backup you stock rom, go to my channel and see my other video on how to reset the Hero. I hope this helped, Thank You!

@assassino54 Thank You! First i would restore you stock rom back up, then call sprint and tell them to refresh your signal. Then I would re-install CyanogenMod. If you want, you can skip calling sprint, but you will have better chances if you do. That should be it. I hope this helped, Thank You!

@tk3667 I'm sorry to hear what is happening. First thing, restart the phone and go into (RomManager). In there, tap on (FlashclockworkmodRecovery) again, make sure that it is active, if not, make sure it has root access.

While it is flashing, do not let phone sleep, or exit the app. Then, retry going into recovery, if it works, continue on with the steps. If this didn't help, send me a message, and I will try to help. Thank You!

The only drawbacks are you will lose phone contacts, so back them up thru Gmail or Windows Contacts before you do anything.

hey man um i rooted my phone n did all the steps in ur videos and it worked awsum but i had a wifi issue wasnt connecting at all well any ways i got it fix but i reinstalled CyanogenMod and the GAPPS cause thought that was the issue it wasnt well no i have the problem that my android market doesnt look like the market when i first istalled my rom and the gapps it looks like the original market do u no anything about this issue i tried restored my phone back unrooted n did everthig again n noting
