Beasley... you're precisely correct! A 'lamb' is technically any sheep under one year of age. A recently newborn lamb can certainly be referred to as a 'baby lamb'. For the love of pete BenHasset....... grow up!

We saw the other baby lambs April 30th. I took a lot of photo's of the animals on the Firestone Farm - this was one my husband & I's favorite locations at Greenfield Village.

Just to add to the info, these lambs are part of the Merino breed of sheep that are known for their exceptional wool quality. They are back bred to be MORE wrinkly than their modern cousins, in order to look appropriate for the type of sheep bred in 1885, the year the Firestone farm is shown. More wrinkles = more skin = more wool come shearing time!
