  • Hi yoyomax, i am from the netherlands and my english is very good. But i don't know what shortening is... Can you expelain what it is?? Xxx

  • @pizzafans Its sort of butter. You can get it at the store :)

  • @pizzafans Please google "shortening" for information, it is solid vegetable fat

  • I wish you were my mom.

  • Who is Max???

  • @PurpleOreo95 Her son.

  • can I use buttercream? :) thanks

  • @Beabluskie yes

  • I am trying to make chocolate lolly pops right now.. but I will have to try these!! They look pretty good!! (:

  • Is it possible to use Nutella or something instead of the frosting?

  • @darkruler65 yes!

  • yum

  • This looks sooo good... too bad I'm allergic to wheat, deary, and chocolate. ^^;; If anyone else makes these, enjoy them. Enjoyyyy themmmmm.

  • interesting

  • These are so cute!!!!

  • i followed the same recipe as you and they are soooooo delicious and one of the mosy coolest candy!

  • that is sooo gehtto b smart n do it the rite way

  • Can you make me a monster high cakes

  • Can u make puppy chow my sister can

  • could you use extra cupcake batter?

  • HMMMMMM looks so delicious! I plan on making these for my friends!!

  • In cake pops with no baking can you do Oreo and frosting or do you really need cream cheese

  • how big was that cake and if you where to use home made icing/ frosting how much would you add ???

  • @ishaycallie It was about the size of a 9x13" cake (same amount as a cake mix). Start with about 3/4 of a cup of frosting and blend it in, if the crumbs won't stick together properly, add more frosting

  • @yoyomax12 what do i do if i add to much ????

  • i want to see r2d2 cake!

  • @senyalopukhin I have photos of it near the end of my "kids birthday cakes I have made" video

  • I love you yoyomax12! You make it easy to get bakery quality results at home

  • I am making cake balls and they are bit on the soft side. I don't have any cake to add to it. Do you think if I keep them in the fridge for a long time they will be usable?

  • @TheXxjackchopxX Chilling them does firm them up, you may end up having to leave them refrigerated after you coat them

  • do you baked them before you getting ready to decorate?

  • @poedellove The cake is already baked

  • @yoyomax12 is there some cheaper substitute to choco frosting ? since its quite expensive here and im planning to sell these , thank u so much

  • can you use chocolate cake instead?

  • What kind of chocolate/candy coating is best to use?? I made these using almond bark cuz it was cheaper than the wilton candy melts and the candy shell was so thick and hard even tho I thinned it with shortening. I ran out after only a few pops. It also cracked while they were in the fridge. How do I get a thin and not so hard shell that won't crack and fall off?

  • @irisayala You can thin chocolate out with oil and/or shortening. I also use a small amount of paraffin (see chocolate peanut butter ball recipe).

The cake will expand after you make the cake balls, try not to pack the mixture too compactly. Chill the cake balls but don't freeze them, sometimes that causes cracking.

Too thick a coating might have been the issue as well

  • Ivery cool

  • Cake Pops! Yummmmmmmmm! (Imitating Red Robin)

  • I voted for you mrs. tammy <3 i hope you win !

  • Does the cake have to be frozen then defrosted or can u bake one and let it cool then use it?

  • @FallingstarsX33 nope, just cooled and crumbled

  • popsicle shaped which is like a rectangle but at the end is a semi circle alright? or would the shape be misformed and break?

  • @MsBlueLay *deformed

  • @MsBlueLay You can shape these anyway you like, they hold shapes pretty well. Make sure they are well chilled before dipping them

  • How long do these last? I might make them for my birthday

  • @animelover12385 At room temperature, they will last as long as you would keep a frosted cake out on your counter (couple of days?). If you refrigerate them they should be fine for a few days at least.

  • That looks so delicious.

  • Yummy looks good

  • @yoyomax12 well, i used rainbow cake mix and vanilla icing, i also used white chocolate candy melts with melted semi-sweet chocolate chips melted and drizzled on top. If u would like pictures i have lots of pictures and i can give you them quick.

  • @laurenrocks549 Why don't you upload your photos to facebook and tag me on them and I will be notified? I am Tammy Yoyomax on Facebook

  • if you were putting sanding sugar or sprinkles on the pops when do you do this. I find that if i do it too soon they slide down the chocolate but if you wait too long the chocolate gets hard.

  • do you have to use chocolate for the cover can u use carmel or butterscotch or white chocolate

  • @awesomesauceRawr You can use whatever you would like to coat these, white and dark chocolate has the advantage of drying and hardening making them easier to package up

  • Wow this is amazing
