  • They need to raise trade tariffs not lower them... We need to keep everything in america and stop buying stuff from other countries like china that use slave labor... Thats why no one buys american anymore... its cheaper to get it abroad..

  • People buy what appears to be the best for what they need. If we cannot produce that then no amount of trade tariff will change that.

  • WHY FAKE messengeeer moha MAD man copy to JEW n CHRISTIAN??n RAPE or enjoy SEX with alot of women n babies??n kill alot of innocent?

  • The compound CO2 is found regularly in the atmosphere, but at such high levels it upsets the balance of the ozone layer, causing chemical reactions that thin it.

Also, more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere causes the earth to warm. Although the surface of the earth warms, higher up (above the troposphere) the atmosphere cools, thus increasing the area where stratospheric clouds can form. This makes a larger area susceptible to ozone depletion.

  • @ hughster

Natural elements aren't pollutants? Do you even know what a natural element is? Obliviously not since you can't tell the difference between an ELEMENT and a COMPOUND. Let me "dumb" it down for you: Carbon + 2 Oxygen --> CO2. ITS A COMPOUND, NOT AN ELEMENT! You're the one who doesn't even know basic grade 8 science.

And every element is found somewhere on earth. Like Plutonium... and CO2. But not at such dangerous levels. CO2 is eating at the ozone layer, warming the earth

  • is mohamad a MASS MURDERER or RAPIST?

  • both

  • anybody catch The Resident say 'global ecoMony'?

  • Whatever happened to those kids who protested against globalization? Remember that violent protest a few years back...in Seattle?

Are they still active, or has the pharmaceutical-entertainment-industrial complex gotten to them?

  • the guy at :56-seemed a good person

  • next year's g8 summit is randomly being held in my hometown of muskoka (huntsville), about 3 hours north of toronto, ontario.

i think this is crazy! huntsville has nothing, they are pumping millions of dollars into "fixing it up".

why hold a g8 summit in cottage country? why?

i don't get it. sure it will bring in much needed money into the community with all of the press, but the infrastructure and "local" airports cannot support this world event

  • Hey, Resident, what's your job? Oh yea, to FUCKING TALK. THAT'S ALL YOU DO. TALK. AND YOU CRITICIZE OTHERS FOR JUST TALKING. Wow.

  • I agree, a statue for Michael Jackson, at least they will get one topic done.

  • The G-eight should be talking about a monument for Michael (jacko) Jackson.

  • rip-off artists are only successful when people let them be.

  • I imagine it will be more about private small group conversations in someone's hotel room than it is in the big meeting.... we may never know the fruits of these private meetings

  • "My god you have to be a dumb fuck to buy into that crap!" See, now that is exactly what I am talking about. People don't come together with a common goal---we'd rather sit in a room and call each other "dumb fucks". And I don't think that's a very-level-headed way to look at things. People don't buy into it because they're idiots--- they beleive because there is so much information out there that the average person can't tell what's credible and what isn't.

  • "We address our root problem as a people " Yes, but don't you think THAT is a huge part of the problem. We don't come together as a people---most of us pick a political side and then say "Whatever they say, I will blindly believe."

  • "Global warming is a hoax" I want to believe that---TRUST ME, it would make me delirious to do so. But don't just tell people that and expect them to buy it---if you know of reliable sources, share them.

  • We may not be overpopulated---but the world population is growing. And the world certainly does not need more people. So, yeah, I think it should be something people get serious about now---because we all know human nature is to wait until things get ugly.

  • I was thinking that the G8 leaders might use the photo-op to give support to people whose liberties have are trodden upon and have attempted to speak out recently. And also, there's the question as to whether people are being properly informed about global warming and what is to be done about it.

We need to better understand the downside of manufactured fuels. If we could grow something that is both

edible and nutritious with ethanol as a byproduct it'd be the ultimate in renewable energy.

  • Tanui, your collection of coms only proove that you are not really well educated, never read a book and never made your mind about nowaday´s problems and future solutions. Hardly saw a person who discredit himself in such a stupid and penetrating way - sorry to say that.

  • your last name...and your lack of height make me giggle =)

  • The government doesn't care.

    Period.

  • G8 countries are the reason the world is screwed up economically!

  • @ hughster

You should start reading some special books about this issue or listen to scientists instead of repeating stupid lies from Bush and other lobbyists.

  • The major topic for the G8 would be how to alleviate the current economic crisis. Efforts to reduce global warming require some adaptation by the world as a whole and should not create additional problems like higher food prices resulting from the effort to create synthetic fuels. Foreign aid and the response to terrorism will also require some international cooperation. And, I think that population control in a time of crisis may also come up. Supporting access to media may help.

  • *eye roll*

Even if the earth wasn't warming up, shouldn't we be looking after our planet anyways? Have you ever been to Mexico City, you can't even breathe! It's so polluted.

  • I agree with you completely. If people don't want to think we're in an emergency state, okay. But WAY too often I hear people with the attitude that we should all just sit back, everything's fine.

  • It's always easier said than done.

  • Plat neuken

  • @ hughster

That is nonsense. Half of G8 comes from Europe and Europe takes care for global warming since years and only waited for an American president who had a little more brain than W. Bush. The next meeting in Copenhagen is awaited with good hopes over here.

  • anonymusum, You might want to look into Bush's ranch/home. Also look up the most polluted cities and countries in he world, the US is not some big garbage dump polluter as some wish. We have problems sure, but we are changing and have been for a very long time. we're going in the direction of advanced geothermal systems, solar roof tops for all new homes,

  • Well - let´s hope so. But please remember the official US declarations on international congresses like Kyoto etc., the US was one of the few countries that prevented bigger developments in that climate issue. And if you look at the energy an average single American is wasting it´s ridiculously high. So there´s a lot to do - for the Europeans as well - of course.

  • and electric cars with generators/alternators that charge the batteries as you drive. I'm no bush fan when it comes to his policies, that aren't much different than the direction obama is taking. But I promise you, on a personal level, how one lives in the real word, Bush is lot more green than obama, and most americans, which is sad.

  • G8. ha. they haven't mentioned me one time. useless.

  • Dear Miss Res,

When are you going to give up and face your destiny which is...the first female pres of the U.S.

  • It's a conflict of interest.

They're the leaders of the 8 richest countries.

They're at the top of the highest piles, so they're not interested in making any real changes.

So they go there with a view to discussing how to maintain the status quo exactly as it is.

THAT is why nothing useful comes out of these talks.

If they all went there with a view to making some real change - actually dealing with world hunger and the like - then they could achieve miracles.

    But they don't want that.

  • this woman would look good in a potato sack.

  • This woman already looked good wearing a garbage bag and duct tape in an earlier video - so I'm inclined to believe you about the potato sack. ;D

  • They have terrorists in rainforests?

  • Yep- that's where they hid the wmds.....

  • From an italian point of view, the G8 has been very inconclusive.

Today a major strike of car workers has been held since years, due to FIAT new international agreements.

Climate issues? During the G8, new plans for (obsolete) nuclear power stations have been signed.

Third World's debt relief promises not kept.

In conclusion: a huge advertisement for Berlusconi's image, in need for recovery.

Great interviews as usual, Lori. Always pleasant. Keep up!

    ~peace

  • They should plant a few trees while they are shooting the shit.

  • The G8 leaders are all talking about how to keep pulling the wool over the sheep's eyes... Listen to infowars(dot)com if you want to know how the world really works... not how the brainwashed public thinks it works ...

  • If people were to use their technological potential there would be many options. It would be like letting a whole army of genies out of their bottles. i suspect the G8 summit is very much about keeping all genies in the bottle. The Earth is in trouble as far as people are concerned and i would bet that a large part of what they are concerned with is limiting population with disease and starvation techniques. You cannot just ask people not to procreate.

  • I agree with the person in this video who says "All they do is talk, they never get anything done. "A goal without a plan is just a wish."

  • Most of the G8 talks are kept private from the media. But Russian President Medvedev DID show the future supranational currency which will replace the dollar. Go to futureworldcurrency to see the coin.

  • Will G8 make a difference? They're the world leaders - they like how it's going now, because they're on top. Why change anything?

The G8 should be concentrating on how to get all that money laying around in mattresses and citizens' savings accounts into more responsible hands - i.e. theirs.

Oh, wait. They're already doing that. Never mind.

  • lol you know what they want, more for themselves and less for everybody else, and they'll get it as well, cos no one does anything to stop them.

  • i tend to think that if they could make major positive ecological changes they would not, because they would loose control of the money being generated. Plus if people could create most of their living sources with special hydroponic style agriculture they would have options. What if people could thrive in a maginal environment with special technology? Perhaps all the deserts of the world would become "crowded". How can we be prosperous without misuse of resources.
