hey dude this is LAMB OF GOD speaking we got the same amp and dont say "i know i suck" in your discription you are great and the tone that you selected is great.
Nice playing! I have had the Cube 30 for about 3 years and it still amazes me. It did some sitting around for the last year or so because I got a modded Fender 75 watt amp. My buddy came over and we got the Cube out and jammed for a few hrs. The Cube is pretty loud, but the Fender can drown it. For a practice amp, the Cube is a really good value. I wonder what the 60 would be like in a jam situation?
thx for commenting :) sorry, i have never tried the 60... but trust me u'd rather purchase a multi-effects pedal than the 60. it is just for practice in my opinion. it might work pretty good if u and ur friends are like just practicing in the basement or something :D but i suggest the most effective version of the cube is 30x.
i disagree; the cube 60, as is the cube 80, are more than capable of gigging. The entire "cube" line is extremely versatile. Also, i would prefer a multi-pedal in each application -- your 30 included. Nice demo vid of the r-fier mode. Keep playing.
Hey, I'm getting an Roland Cube 30x. But i want to use the effects on the amp? Mainly Distortion. Is the distortion any good on the Roland Cube 30x? Do you have the footswitch for it? Boss FS-6?
hmmm, there are mainly two distortions that i usually use, and those are Metal mod and R-fier mod. Metal mod sounds very watery and squished, and isn't very high in gain or treble (It is IMO since my guitar is squire and has single pickups so it might sound different in humbuckers). R-fier mod, which is my favorite simulation in the amp, originates from the famous Mesaboogie Rectifier amplifier. It has an amazing sound. Just turning your knob to the R-fier mod will completely change your sound.
And yes, there is a footswitch, but you have to purchase it separately. I hardly recommend you buying it though. This is a great amp but it is just for practice. If you read the further comments on this video, I have explained that the amp sound is going to be covered up if you play it on stage with drums. If you just want to change your channels or something, just click it on the amp. Why dare using a pedal?
am i the only one who thinks this is too loud? ok im not in a band, i just learn guitar casually and dont want to bother anyone nearby, and on the lowest volume its fine, but it sounds like shit cus of the lack of tone in that low margin, im getting a 20x ;)
im suspecting its the amp setting limits that makes it sound low. if u play in a band, the guitar sound jst gets covered up by other drum or bass sound. OF COURSE if ur playing it alone in the house, the amp can be loud as hell u'll be screamed at by ur housemates :) but id say its not as loud when u get to the stage. (meaning, its a practice amp)
i wont recomment buying 20x though. cube 30 has more settings than 30x. its worth investing at 30x
i have a cube 60 and love it, how do you like the acustic simulator, i think it was it's biggest selling point to me, check out my product reviews on my site
some of guitars top alumnnist play ibanez, so i would say that is proof perfect that they don't suck, but instumnent tone and feel is all subjective due to personal taste and preference, just like music
IMO the Cube Rectifier Setting sounds NOTHING like a real Rectifier! But the Metal Setting (Peavey 5150 Model) comes very close^^ Pretty strange, but its true. I use a Triple Rectifier for my Band and I play a Cube 60 at home. I know what I´m talking about. Try this Settings: Bass 3/4 Mid 1/2 Treble & Presence between 1/2 and 3/4. Amp-Model Metal, Gain 3/4. Recto sound \m/
i played on a cube 30X(i think) and the only difference was 2 knobs that i could hear a differnece in, im not POSITIVE it was the cube 30X tho. i have a reg cube 30, im gettin a B.C. Rich soon, and that bitch is gonna seer holes in my walls man
Fender stuffs are usually for clean stuff. But if ur talking about fender frontman 15G amp, it is a really crap amp. that was my first amp, too, and it is full of noise, its overdrive just hurts people's ear. Cube 30 is much better, it has effects, good amp modes, u can make various sounds
cube 15 is a bad bad idea. it really skips with the stuff u can doo on the cube 30. even cube 20 happens to miss some effects from cube 30, when cube 30 is just a small version of cube 60, in my opinion. id suggest u to purchase cube 30, then move to a new amp like marshall with good effects boosted! :P dat's my scenario
Marshall isnt the best you know..and they have barely no effects , a real Marshall anyway..if you have the money and you want a really gut-punchin sound then get a Dual Rectifier , and for the effects , like a stomp-box , or Line 6 XT or some shit , watever its called. Peace Out
Dude hell now u don't suck! Great amp btw, i got it too =D
I got Boss'FS dual pedal with it its great switchin' but u should use Boss ME-30 on the CUBE-30 it's great sounds and lot's of different distortions, modulations and echo's.
haha that doesnt suck, i have this amp, pretty sick, but tell me how to get a good foo fighters, rise against, new modern sound etc out of it, im not sure which setting 2 use :S k ty
a guitar from a Yamaha set... i have a squire strato but it sucks at playing metal so i borrowed my friend's. i'm looking forward to buy a cort EVL series :P
this amp rocks. you'll amaze urself after u get it.
the thing is my original guitar is Squire Stratocaster so it doesnt sound as heavy. (all single pickups... wtf) and im using my friend's guitar in this vid.

Can you give me your amp settings for the R-fier?
tpwelie34 2 years ago
R-fier Full gain
Treble: 10
Mid : 3~5ish (seriously, mid knob doesnt matter in the R-fier mode. the mid does a slight sound change to your sound)
Bass: 5

Yep. Sorry, I'm not trying to push my opinion on anyone.

Even though he has a Yamaha. I was mistaken at first.
KCNirvanaKC 3 years ago
How could you mistake that for an Ibanez
And they only suck ass if you don't know how to play so it's your fault if they do
inricheetos 3 years ago
I was mistaken because of the body.
And I can play the guitar.
With emotion I mean their crappy sound.
KCNirvanaKC 3 years ago
You must be both blind and deaf then
inricheetos 3 years ago
Not really, the bodies look the same.
KCNirvanaKC 3 years ago
The headstock doesn't, it could be a lyon an aria an unbranded chinese guitar anything except an ibanez
inricheetos 3 years ago
I know, I didn't pay attention to the headstock.
Which is why I said 'Even though he has a Yamaha. I was mistaken at first.'.
I should've seen it.
