Secondly, I was wondering how he was able to interview the pirate? I mean when Ross leaves the country why doesn't he just tell the police of his location? He obviously knows the location. Just a thought people, not criticizing here, just curious. Any ideas?

because he's a decent man and has respect the pirates arn't the bad guys the world isn't black and white and if he did tell he couldn't get to any other gangs he wants to meet and the pirates probaly move area after the interview like he said they have hundreds of places to hide

Most of the pirates or rather 99% are Indonesian. That pirate's from Batam Island,does said something truthful concerning the "inside job"..!

The insider origin are Indonesian too, whose culture's, languages and many other similarities factor. Contributes to the favor of the pirates.

Most this Indonesians officers and crews are very lowly paid by the ship owner's.

Some times the owner's too collaborated with the pirates ,Just as like it was mention by the pirate's..!!
