Some are staged by the Lost-Crew som are actually mistakes.
Why are some staged ? You´ll have to wait and see - you will become very surprised, believe me. If you are up to date with lost season 5, you might understand it.
of course not! I mean, they're no perfect, and LOST is a show were it's hard to keep continuity... besides, many of the mistakes are intentional, 'cause maybe some camera movements/or FX can't be achieved on floor 2 or with the backpack
Not to mention that shortly afterward, the man flew from his 15th story balcony and died. If he had flown from a 2nd story balcony, not much more than a few broken bones would have occurred, I'm afraid...
Continuity is largely the editor's fault. The reason you get mistakes is cos they have to weigh up their options - if making a continuity error, that only 10% of people will spot, and only 2% of people will care about, allows for a better edit of the scene given the footage available, then so be it.
Continuity is shooting fish in a barrel. It's lazy to rely on that for a blooper real. Especially from someone that cannot spell, nor edit particularly well!
The first "mistake" isn't really a mistake as you are allowed mobile phones in hospitals, especially being the chief of surgery. The second one isn't a mistake either, as it doesn't say "15th floor", it's just the unlucky numbers 15 and 16 on it. The last mistake is truly a mistake, though. Well done for spotting it!
The sign on the door say's 1516 as in the bad numbers, its just another opportunity for them to throw them in. I work in a hospital and although they say no mobiles most surgens have a God complex, so do whatever they want, and as long as they are not near respirators then they wont effect any instuments. The backpack though? Good spot! You must have spent ages studying the footage. But seriously its just a t.v series how can you enjoy it if you spend so much time trying to poke holes?

they didn't actually show his face in clear light, but you can see his sillouette and basic features. its in the episode "cabin fever" i think its season 3 or 4...

In hotels, room-numbers are usually a combination of floor and room
so 1st floor is 101, 102, 103
2nd floor 201, 202, 203
and 15th floor 1501, 1502, 1503,...
basic idea is that the personell can find rooms fast and easy. Any other way roomservice would have to look-up the floor on every delivery they make.

Continuity is largely the editor's fault. The reason you get mistakes is cos they have to weigh up their options - if making a continuity error, that only 10% of people will spot, and only 2% of people will care about, allows for a better edit of the scene given the footage available, then so be it.
Continuity is shooting fish in a barrel. It's lazy to rely on that for a blooper real. Especially from someone that cannot spell, nor edit particularly well!

The first "mistake" isn't really a mistake as you are allowed mobile phones in hospitals, especially being the chief of surgery. The second one isn't a mistake either, as it doesn't say "15th floor", it's just the unlucky numbers 15 and 16 on it. The last mistake is truly a mistake, though. Well done for spotting it!

The sign on the door say's 1516 as in the bad numbers, its just another opportunity for them to throw them in. I work in a hospital and although they say no mobiles most surgens have a God complex, so do whatever they want, and as long as they are not near respirators then they wont effect any instuments. The backpack though? Good spot! You must have spent ages studying the footage. But seriously its just a t.v series how can you enjoy it if you spend so much time trying to poke holes?
