  • Hey where did u get that deat frm I kike it

  • How did you keep the center stand on? whenever I took my mufflers off..the stand was pressing on my chain. Also, is this bad for it? I'm thinking on riding it like this...but it is SO FRICKEN LOUD. I'd piss myself off riding it lol

  • @tietie1424 take the center stand off.... its 2 bolts. And no its not bad. you lose a few horsepower top end no big deal. The only bad thing really is that its illegal. But who gets pulled over for having loud pipes........

  • wow I like the color of your 500 man.!

  • Back in 2003 i had an EX500, you gotta love that sound from the muffler.....ooooh ! Gigitty !

  • what size bike you start on depends on maturity and ability to moderate throttle and clutch while subconsciously maintaining balance. there is no perfect starter bike. just know your abilities and get a machine that will suit you.

  • Can you ride the bike with no mufflers like that? Will there be a power loss or risk of burning the valves?

  • do you think someone like 6.3" can fit on that bike?

  • @gaivoron im 6'2 and 190 and i fit fine on my 07 ninja 500r

  • @jaydh78 ok thanks i think i will go with 500r or fz6

  • yao m gettin a 2007 Kawasaki EX500 Ninja would i able change the exhaust cuzz this bike has dual exhaust do i to get two of those i wana get two brother exhaust for my bike

  • @cameroklim its like cigarette loking smoke. just pure white. and alot of it when my bike warms up

  • i got a question. my left exaust im making alot of smoke. and the bike works fine when i hit high rpms. but its slughish til i hit it. any sugestions?

  • @PsilocybinDream what color smoke ?

  • why would you take the mufflers off :/ i think they look bad-ass :p

  • I tried that on my 89 ex500 and it sounded like a harley

  • dude running basically any engine with no back pressure from exhaust will burn your valves in no time......jus get a couple slip-ons or a 2 into 1 system if you want better performance and better sound, taking off your pipes makes it sound obnoxious and it will kill your bike

  • @69sheepdog

no it won't relax. i ran like that for a week be4 my 2-1 arrived for my 250. there were no burned valves at my valve clearance adjustment when i did it 2000 km later.

  • sheep, you're a little misinformed about this subject. Running with your headers/manifold removed will burn up your valves, but this far away is no problem...

  • @azterik

Are you sure? I own a 2000 500r and i was gonna remove them and ride it around for a week just to do it,

U seem to know what you're talking about

Will it burn up my valves if i ride it or will i be fine

my friend told me it would run like shit after awhile from the carbs not being adjusted to it

  • Haha sounds like my racing kart!!

    .Invader.

  • ^also wrong. the best performing exhaust for the ex500 is the stock one

  • Its not if it will work, its how far will you go to get it to work.

  • i have 250, and i want to put a 500 in it can it work in it..?

  • Is this a good bike to ride on the streets?

  • yes

  • the 500 Ninja is a great street starter bike, with great fuel economy and comfortable as any cruiser inmy opinion, you will not be dissapointed

  • @TheRhyz1995 Why wouldn't it be?

  • @eburt6 might not handle well, might lack power up hills dont know really loads of reasons

  • @TheRhyz1995 Might lack power on a 250. But a 500r is a 12 second bike. Plenty of power.

  • @eburt6 I know :], i did ask the question 2 years ago, i have my own motorbike now :}

  • If you take the muffler off does it give you more proformance?

  • Comment removed

  • no.

  • nope, gives u a nice sound sometimes, but decreased compression.

  • Hahaha...

  • Back to 1999, i had a green, sounded just like that one, i liked

  • sounds weird to me but it's not my bike so I don't really care :P Hope you're having fun with it!

  • Isnt this bad for the bike? I thought stock exhausts were engineered. Im 23, been riding since 17, and just sold a big Kawasaki 1000 to "downgrade" to one of these (I think) Bigger Bikes give you more of a rush and are part of the cool crowd but the cool crowd is starting to shift to smaller bikes. See the new ninja 250?

  • not unless you open up the jets or you plug a computer into it to open up your injecters get a better fuel mixture for this kinda deal.

  • on the EX500... meh, adjust the pilot screw to fix ration, and you are set. Manageable unless you turn around and run pods as well.

  • Hey joebob744 cheak out Bmw R1200s but Ninja 500R might be better for you

  • best bike to buy would be a DUCATI 848

  • So many people ask that exact question. It really is a dumb question. There is NO such thing as the "best bike" for a beginner. It all depends on what the person is going to use it for, what kind of comfort level they have on a bike, and their level of responsibility. In my opinion the vast majority of young (your age) riders starting out should absolutely NOT get anything larger than a 250 or 500. Most beginners will NOT do well on a bike bigger than that such as a 600, because it's too much.

  • Im 17 and own an R6. Only reason its not sitting in a junk yard is because I started on a Ninja 250. 600 = way too much power for a beginner.

  • @JooKed It really isn't a matter of size of the engine, beginners can start on basically any size engine up to about a 750 as long as its a 2 cylinder. Your R6 is 4 cylinder and has a much faster acceleration and a really high top speed than a bigger 2 cylinder so it wouldn't make much sense to even have one unless your going to be going way over posted speed limits.

  • @YouBeenBigBobed Of course. It should say, that the fast reving and high HP engines of modern inline 4 cylinder bikes are too much for beginners. They are predictable machines for experienced hands, but can kill someone for someone with inexperienced hands and muscle memory. A 650r or something is a good starter bike. Hell, even 1000cc Harley's are good starter bikes haha.. thats a whole other story though.

  • @JooKed i started on an 850, then again i had 10+ years of dirt bike experience under my belt (and have yet to crash or do something dumb)

  • @JooKed

My first bike was a 750. No problems.

  • @PresentAbsence yea same here. but i grew up riding dirt bikes so i had some experience even tho they are different

  • @JooKed where do you live? i'm 17 and i got a 125 cbr and i really want a 250 ninja

  • @JooKed Haha thats funny but im a beginner to a street bike but ive rode dirt bikes all my life im 15 i own a ninja 650r and i love it

  • @JooKed Im rebuilding a katana 750, its my first bike. Its heavy as hell. and pushes 90-100 horsepower which is weaker then a modern 600 so i think ill be alright. I have more self control then alot of people. Think ill be alright. lol main thing is preventing BEING hit. soccer moms in minvans talking on their cells about their PMS... those people are out to kill.. no lie

  • @QSideProductions hah. funny you should say that, not long ago a soccer mom almost ran me off the road on my ex500. fucking redic. then when we came to a red light she was givin me looks like it was my fault i was in her way or something. wtf?

  • @bitingbullets0819 know it all too well my friend.

  • @JooKed

I'm 22 and I'm gettin a Suzuki Sv 650s (V-Twin) for my first bike It only has 70 HP compared to the R6's and Gixers... do you think thats still too much?

  • @ArGyProductions no thats fine. They are good starter bikes, and cheap.

  • @ArGyProductions nope that bike is perfect just no 600 or 1000cc inline 4 bikes

  • @JooKed rich bastard

  • @XxUnknownxX8 lol I worked at a grocery store for 6 months at the time. 6 x 4 months x ~175 paycheck = 4200 in half a year.

4200 = more than enough for a used 03 R6 with 17k miles minor cosmetic damage back in 2008.

I made 7.25 an hour hahah.

Save your money folks and you will get what you want.

  • @JooKed nope

  • @JooKed 600 is only way to much power for a beginner with no brains. I started on a gsxr 600 and Im still riding the same bike to this day. Its never been laid over nor have i had close calls or speeding tickets. It all depends on the person.

  • @JooKed I started on an '06 ZX-636 over a year ago, still have it, never dropped it (my time will come)... I consider myself lucky, disciplined, patient, and careful... it takes a lot of discipline to learn on a 600, but I probably would've had more fun on a 500R or something like that. Can be done, not recommended though - I also started at age 25, so I'm a bit less crazy then someone who might've started in their teens. The wife is now learning on her new 500R and doing quite well =)

  • @JooKed same story here but i started on a 650s

  • @JooKed Thats funny cause I still have my very first bike that I learned how to ride on and everything just last year right before i turned 18.. Katana 1100 GSX-F only time it was ever laid down was when my brother backed into it with his car.

  • @canthony1019 lol you will see an R6 in AMA championship racing, but you will not see a Katana. I get your drift, there are exceptions.

  • @JooKed a 500 or something like a sv650 is good because there v-twins not in-line 4 cylinders duuhhh

  • @JooKed Not if you have driven a manual transmission car all your life.

  • @JooKed I'm a beginner and I mean I have no 2 wheel experience at all and I was deciding between 2 bikes as my first. The Ninja 250r and the 500r (both used). I like the new look of the 250 but i'm just worried that I buy the 250, i'll get bored of riding it and would want to upgrade to a 600 in 6 months. But at the same time the 500 provides more power while it still being a beginners bike and not a supersports bike. So will the 500 keep me smiling longer than the 250? Or is it the same feel?

  • @plehdehgame the 500 has significantly more power , the 250r has better looks , they are both good beggener bikes , the 250r won't bore you in 6 months , I had mine for 4 months and my poor car's battery died because I don't drive my car anymore lol , depends on the kind of riding you do , but metropolitan cities the 250r shines , but that does not mean I get bored on the express way , I am 210 pounds , and my bike comfortably reaches 90 mph without having to tuck down .better MPG and resale too

  • @JooKed I started on an R1. But I've also been riding for 11 years =-).

  • one good beginner bike i can think of thats over a 600 is the SV650, but then again thats a v twin lol

  • I agree with all the guys below mw. no such thing as the perfect beginner bike. but it depends on what style of bike you want, if you want into the sport bike world or the cruiser scene, or tourer types... the list goes on. as far as sport beginners, i started out on a ninja 500 like the one in this video. it was perfect for me. light-weight, low seat height, and the clutch is begginer friendly for take-offs. learn on it and youll be on a CBR-1000 in no time...like me lol.

  • im 6'4-5ish would i get on it ok??

  • i had the same question, i wana get this bike but a bit tall, i know i sure as hell would not fit a 250

  • Hmmm I'm 5'11" and have a little room to spare, but I'm not sure about you guys, you might want to find a dealer that has one on the floor and sit on one before committing to ordering it. good luck and happy riding

  • u sure dude??? have u seen there new 250?? its like regular size

  • well the 250 is only for shorted people, i mean really small bodies, 500 and 650 is more like it for taller people in the 6ft department but i still dont thing the 500r is big enough

  • Both the 250 and 500 have very similar seat heights. I don't think any sportbike would be all that comfortable for someone that's 6'4" though.

  • Also, this video doesn't really do the "no mufflers" sound much justice. The real sound is actually pretty obnoxious if you were to ride around like that.

  • That doesn't sound very good. You should just get a better exhaust kit for that bike if you can rather than punishing that engine with no muffler at all.

  • Hay, not to good for it man put them back on !!!

  • what a fucken idiot

  • I think my girl's 500r WITH the exhaust pipes sounds better than the lawn mower here. Loudness rarely equates to a "good" sound.....

  • You're severely degrading the performance by running with no muffler, especially on this bike. IC engines are designed to run with a certain amount of exhaust backpressure.

  • Sounds more like a dirt bike than a street bike

  • That's because it's only a 2 cylinder, rather than a 4 cylinder.

  • Yeah, I like the sound of my Kawasaki Z750 better

  • lol it sounds like my old 1975 honda cj360 thats sick put them back on:(

  • it was loud. had to put 'em back on after a couple of days. thinking about doing it again and posting a better sounding video.

  • ran mine with no cans for a week or so, got old after a while. sounds like a weed eater on LSD

  • ummmm how old you gotta be to ride one???

  • You're not old enough if your asking.

  • You dont know?

  • same age as it is to get ur car license in ur state you can ride with just a motorcycle permit also and taske the safty class to get ur license.

    good lucky buddy

  • lol

  • not bad sound that, just bought 1 of these for a piss about, might rip the can off it aswell.

  • It takes a piss load of power away. With these smaller displacement bikes, that power is really important.

  • It also pisses off everyone in a 2 mile radius. Its shit insane loud and you'll be deaf within a week.
