click action replay enter the code and it should save

Config, than to patch, go to cheats, and set this on another one than drive C.

Than reset it and...............you can save cheats!!!

@leejennings1418 For DeSmuME I think the codes have to be "official" meaning you have to use codes from codejunkies or someting like that and make sure you enable it.

Have the ROM opened, go to Emulation > Cheats > List > Action Replay [Paste Code and Enter Description] > Add > Save > And finally, play your Game! :D

If your DeSmuME folder is inside C:\Program Files (i.e. C:\Program Files\DeSmuME 0.9.6\) then you should move the whole folder outside because UAC in Windows Vista/7 prevents non-admin elevated programs from writing to anything inside C:\Program Files.

@XZMDragon ok if your having that problem what your gona do is go config then go path settings then look down and you will see a thing called cheats and a file then look right and you will see something next to it to browse then if you have a drive like g drive or j drive in your pc or computer then click then drive and then click save then you cross out desmume then you start it up again, ok?!

you first have to get the master code for the game u wanna use cheats on.....then u get the cheats u want then u can cheat..(u must always keep the master code enabled for cheats to work)

i just figured it out. go to the list then add code as action replay. copy the code there and then write in the description what it does and fill the turn on code square thingy and then hold r and l together for 2 secs (or whatever buttons you have set as the R L buttons in desmume) and then voila :D for instance i used all pokeballs code. ill copy it in a new comment
