Beautifully played by Anna! The scenes of leaves out the windows, along with the music evoke warm childhood memories inside me of autumn back in Michigan. Thank you Anna.
Use your arm and fingers to play legato. Don´t do it just with the pedal because you can still hear the absence of legato in the melody and accompaniment in spite of playing it beautifully.
I'm not a pianist--I am a violinist, so I am not familiar with this piece or the particuliars of this piece or of playing the piano--I can only tell you it sounded beautiful to me, that I thought she played naturally--and I enjoyed it!
A very heartfelt performance by a talented young lady. The panning scenes of the colored leaves outside the windows made this especially touching and warming. Thank you for sharing.

This piece is not called Album Leaves. It is actually called "The Sighing Wind", as I've seen.

You are correct! We hat copied what the Xerox copy Anna used said in handwritten print, "Tarantella," a misnomer if there ever was one!

Yeah...Isn't this a beautiful piece?

Well at least this music is much more better than today's shit genre of music known as hip hop (especially gangsta rap).

Exellent playing.
I'm surprise that in your book the Tarentelle is Op. 102, No.4, it's not a tarentelle. In my book the tarentelle is Op. 102, No. 3?
Anyway this piece is beautiful.

You are correct, Violette...the piece is not a Tarantella. Its rhapsodic romanticism is totally opposite a lively dance in its nature.
We were misled by the subtitle someone had penned to the sheet music (as you can see in the video) We have corrected this now.
However, the opus number is 4, not 3 in our edition.

Thank you, Mason104! We agree...this is an exquisitely delicate tapestry - a musical sonnet of poetry.
Surely a misnomer for Mendelssohn to call it a Tarantella which is, after all, a lively Latin tarantula dance.

Is this not an exquisite and expressive piece?
This second performance brings more that I might not have thought would be accomplished so soon. Mendelssohn must have been expressing
something meaningful with this lovely melody.
Thank you.

We felt that this piece evokes the nostalgia for this beautiful season of Autumn. We are happy to share this sentiment with all.

very sensitive playing and the autumn leaves go so well with the music.
Congratulations to the pianist and the cameraman!
