One way, is... after you find the staircase, save in one file, go down, then save in another file and dig for the staircase. Then you just repeat this process. So when you don't find the staircase, you can reload to the file where you were about to go to the next level, go down, then re-save in the other file again.

@llibnivek Bring a few of Ellie's herbs, you have to acquire the recipe for it, I can give it to you if you'd like. Also leave a few slots empty (maybe like 2 or 3) for the black herbs you find in the mines. Just keep using those whenever you can even when your not tired yet. Save Ellie's herbs for like wayyy down the line. Also make sure to save as soon as you get on a floor so if you want to reload, you will know where the downstairs are. Let me know if my advice helps at all :).

@llibnivek You need 6 {failed dishes}. When I say 6, I mean 6 different looking failed dishes. Like one of them looks like a burnt piece of bread, another one looks like a black jar, another one is a plate with burnt food on it etc. There's only 6 different ones. Now it gets really tricky though, what you have to do is experiment with making different failed dishes. Try only mixing your seasonings + flour/oil etc so you don't waste the good food in your fridge, hehe. Once you have all 6...

Mix the failed recipes with a Turbojolt XL and a Bodigizer XL. Add sugar, salt, vinegar, soy sauce, and Miso. Also use the following utensils:  The knife, frying pan, oven and pot. I know it's a lot, but it's very worth it! Let me know if that works out for you :).

@emptyNINE That's why you use both slots when mining. When you find your staircase, reload and everything like in the video. Then when you find it in one hit, save in both slots. Go down and immediately save in one, and so then if there is no staircase on that floor you can go back to the other slot.

I was trying to get all of the cursed tools by the end of the first year, but I didn't manage to get the watering can because of poor planning earlier on. Eh, the watering can is the hardest one to get, in my opinion, harder than the sickle, because to make sure you get the watering can, you have to use a tool about 351 times, while the sickle is only about 187 times. I'm not sure if this math makes sense, but it seems to based on my experiences in the mine.

As you get deeper into the mine, there is always the possibility where some levels don't have stairs leading down. To prevent this, simply use the save trick to save once in the staircase leading down in the previous level, so that you can reload the stairs of the previous level to go down if the level you're on doesn't have stairs leading down.

make sure you've got plenty of money to spare, then fill your rucksack with the XL medicine, whichever one that fills lots of fatigue. fill your rucksack with that, and then you'll have it on hand just in case your man gets too tired to go on. :D

A sure way to go down all the way is to use two slots, because sometimes their are no stairs at all.

Save in one slot (let's say slot one) before going down, and in the other (slot two) before looking for steps.

If you find stairs, reload slot two, go directly to stairs, then save in slot one, go down and repeat.

If you don't find stairs, reload slot one to go back to upper level, then go down to get a new level.

ok save in slot one on the lvl you're on, find stairs, load and remember where they are find them, save in slot two, go down, overwrite slot one and repeat. (saving in slot 2 makes it possible to get around dead end floors where there are no stairs) and yah buy medicines to get all the way to lvl B255 ^.^ theres a secret in the bottom of the spring mine get there and mabe you'll get lucky, believe it or not idc it's dead useful XD

Sometimes there is no stairs, thats why you have to keep a save profile on the floor above so you can load and try again, trust me there are stairs there

This is interesting. I usually only use one file for this. You save on the floor you are on. Find the staircase, memorize the location. Click your game on and off and just dig up the staircase again then save on the next floor. I've never seen your way done before though. Congratulaions for showing me something new!
