I want that 8 minutes of my life back PLEASE! What happend to Harlingen's Band? They were pretty good up till 2006. The Drumsets have been done and the drill was rediculously boring! Sorry the only improvement I see is the trumpets. It looks like Harlingen's out of Idea's and had to copy past visuals! Again sorry..but I wasnt impressed
can someone please tell me where the damn snare line went? it took me a while to realize that the only snare you can hear is the concert snare in the pit... what is going on at hhs? it seems that every year (even when i was there) the drumline becomes smaller and smaller and will eventually become extinct...no? Save the Big Red Line!
hey carlos312, how come on every video i watch on youtube you bitch about the way ppl play? i bet north AND south could wipe their asses with your band. and if we do the same thing every year, why do we always win? the judges must like the same thing every year...(and also cuz its totally unoriginal to not have a full battery marching. i see that all over the place.....)
i dont bitch about it. i just stand for a more traditional band. i feel as if marching band has lost its core definiton. all the bands do nowadays is dance around the field to distract from the poor fundamentals.
well yeah. in these days, its about pleasing the audience. 60% of BOA's score is general effect...only 20% is marching and 20% playing. so ya know, the marching organizations basically ask for us to do stuff like dance around and rock out. but it makes marching more interesting and flexible. and yeah, i do have bad fundamentals.
i seriously never paid attention to the fact that they dont have a full marching battery. i knew the show was missing something. i really do like harlingen and their originality, but all in all i dont think their show this year was up to par with past shows theyve performed
haha the lady that says AWESOME at the rock part and the hat plume visual...seriously, rocking your head to the beat is used by EVERY BAND in the book...its far from awesome

To me south is better because they focus on music and the beauty of it. Card Band is like watching the Laker girls

Most of the ones last year were seniors. so as soon as they graduated we had only a handful. Yeah, even the band was pissed.
