  • I land exactly as you do!! and no shame on it!! :D

  • The FAA would say that that was not a good 'soft' landing. On a surface like that landing in a plane like that, the front wheel should stay up as looooong as possible to avoid damage

  • in the company I fly for we don't, that is pointless

  • how and where did you get the high graphic scenery and water texture and cloud texture?

  • This REX2 which is a payware addon (REX = Real Environment Xtreme). Seach on Google ...

  • haha, FS98... Remember the days...

  • Cool video, but why do you fly around in the day with the nav lights on?

  • I'm just doing what I see in real life. Most of the aircraft I've been around almost ALWAYS have their nav lights on.

  • Fair enough, but it just means the bulbs have to be changed all time time. They only have around 50 hours lifespan!

  • I see what you mean! FS98 used to have an option in the Realism settings which said "Aircraft Lights Can Burn Out." If that setting were enabled in FSX then I would certainly keep my nav lights off during the day!

  • day or night you use all the lights. is for security.

  • yeah but in real life you'll just piss off the boss if it's daytime VFR flying!

  • @oscaarsx In general aviation, all you need during daytime vfr is the beacon/strobe, but i guess u could have all lights on if you want.

  • @oscaarsx Not true in the slightest, don't bullshit.

  • @slaneyboi well at least in Mexico yes

  • @oscaarsx Aviation laws apply for the whole world, otherwise you would have to keep changing your checklists depending on what country you went to.

  • @slaneyboi not exactly, some small things do change, not everything is done by the FAA

  • @PRSOV You have your nav lights on when ever you have power connected to the aircraft. I think it's part of the rules in real life.

  • the waters awesome!!! everything else, not so impressive!!

  • how did you get friday harbor to look like thAt please reply...

  • It's the stock Friday Harbor.

  • I have a problem.

No matter if I turn Asphalt Taxiways on or off or change it in the Theme Creation, it's always the same one! It looks like the Asphalt Taxiway 13 and I don't know how to fix this.

If anybody can help it would be great.

    Thanks

  • does this program effect frames at all?

  • Nope, it improves the framerate

  • 2R0bin0 is right.

  • yes in a positive way ;)

  • Which Processor and how many RAM did you have?

  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 overclocked to 3.2 GHz and 1600 MHz FSB, and 4 GB of DDR2-800 overclocked to DDR2-961 Mhz.

  • intel core 2 duo

2.8 ghz and 4 gb of ddr2 ram

    1gb nvidia geforce 9500gt

    250 gb hard disk these

specs are enough to run fsx smootly as yours?

  • Probably not AS smoothly per say, only because you have 2 CPU cores less than me, not to mention 400 MHz slower. Try overclocking, and see if that helps. The rest of your specs look fine.

  • and yeah, wich is better real envoriment xtreme or flight envoriment x ??

  • where can I get REX?? please tell me

  • I've PMed you.

  • And no I'm not, sorry I accidentally deleted your comment by pressing remove instead of reply...sorry!

  • Go to the REX site and buy

  • Thats nice looking water but I dont know if its as important to me that I would spend the money for it...Im waiting for FTX usa canada scenery for the vancouver to seattle and west to the ocean scenery, their stuff is great.

  • that landing takes guts! lol

  • is it true that REX increases fps?

  • Depends on your system. I've heard it decreases FPS a little if you have an older system but otherwise there's is a barely noticeable performance difference.

  • I have 4x 2.4 ghz cpu from amd + ati radeon hd 4850 and 4 gigs of ram...

  • So you should be OK.

  • ok i need help. i just got this from flightsim store. and im downloading all the files. but when its finished. i carnt open them? with no application. please help.

  • I would inquire at the REX forum.

  • right al that is ok now hehe iv installed it and now when i go to install the differant themes and error comes up its

    d3dx9_34.dll is not found?????

  • What is your graphics card?

  • NVIDIA® GeForce™ GT120 with PureVideo® HD technology

  • help

    my fsx missed FSX.CFG

    folder??

    FSX Sp1 + REX

  • dude....amm...try to locate it like this...click browse and...ammm....i have it like this c:/users/flamedcarbine and click that and it will search and find it(i hope)

  • Vista or XP?

  • re-install fsx

  • Try not to push your settings too high if you do get it as that system is slightly outdated. If you tune the game with the right settings, you'll be just fine.

  • how will this run with rex

    AMD X3 PROCESSOR

    4GB RAM

    NVIDIA 9500GS(512MB)

    750GB HDD

i get around 30-50fps on high atm

  • That should be pretty good.

  • not so good in my opinion

  • I take it you have a 42gb ram,10tb, 10.ghz proccessor computer then?

  • no just a way better gfx card

  • im getting 9800gtx super clocked edition soon so ill be ok

  • I hope you realize FSX is more dependent on a good CPU than it is on the GPU..

  • Yea i know and?I have rubbish GPU

  • Ah, Just that your post above mentioned you were getting a 9800gtx clocked edition, so you'd be okay. I was just pointing out that it wouldn't help as much as a bigger CPU would. :)

  • oh okay

  • I actually loved the landing

  • i can't get past step 2(backup files) keep getting not completed on the configuration manager screen.

  • Hey, thanks for subscribing.

Make sure you've told it where the main FSX folder is.

  • Hey. Does REX boost your fps? or lowers it.

Can you tell me do you think it REALISTIC?

  • Hey ojomow.

I haven't at all noticed a performance decrease NOR increase in FSX. The textures of REX are pretty large so if you have a quad-core or a powerful dual-core you should be fine, no decrease. If not then you'll probably notice a drop of 1-5 FPS.

IMHO, I believe that it IS a rather realistic add-on. It enhances the water and clouds so much that with a bit of editing, a screenshot of it would look like a real picture. The weather engine also uses real-world weather. you'll love it.

  • thanks! i finally get it running.

  • it open is real environment ok... play... ok

it open flight simulator x ... error is closed

    erro

    C:\Documents and Settings\CASA\Dados de aplicativos\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.CFG.txt

    C:\Documents and Settings\CASA\Dados de aplicativos\Microsoft\FSX\dxdiag.txt

    C:\Documents and Settings\CASA\Dados de aplicativos\Microsoft\FSX\scenery.cfg

    C:\Documents and Settings\CASA\Dados de aplicativos\Microsoft\FSX\fdr.dat

    you fsx da erro??

  • Make sure you've told REX where your FSX CFG and your FSX Main Folder is. Also, start FSX BEFORE starting REX.

  • what you system (pc)?

  • Asus P5E X38 Motherboard

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz

EVGA 8800 GT Superclocked running at 680/980

    4 GB DDR2-800 overclocked to DDR2-961

500 GB Drive solely for FSX+Add-ons.

  • Awesome!!!

  • Nice resolution, and good job for your first video. Why did anyone rate this 1 star??? The environment is truly impressive.

  • Thanks a bunch for your comment! I have no idea why someone rated it one star, I guess it's their opinion....

  • how do you make ur resolution so high..

great video i may try that real enviorment

  • Hey thanks for the comment. To get the HD resolution, I followed Cessna154's video on how to do it. Search "Cessna154 HD Podcast" here on Youtube, and you'll get it.
