  • @myskater571 Thats not a GP20...

  • please stop zooming, you live by a very unique railroad and have some interesting trains in your videos, but i'd love to watch them without getting horribly seasick in the process. thanks.

  • is that a small train?

  • That's definitely a Safetran mechanical crossing bell. I know this because most of the railroad crossings in my area use those bells, but the crossings typically have two of the bells each, and also have gates.

  • that's flying?

  • @thogy Indeed.

  • There's a slow child behind that camera!!!!

  • 0:04 sign fail

  • Great video, Cory. Great start.

  • Road doesn't look very wide. Is this an alley crossing or something?

  • @weatherdan882002 - No just a small rural country road.

  • Horn sounds terrible. Good footage, though.

  • what the heck was that ? and yes the obvious i know it was a freight train lol

  • Horn sounds quite sick.

  • I often forget that not all railroad crossings have guard rails... Great footage.

  • That first car made me remember something... MCER in the 80s acctualy had borrowed a small conrail switcher... then the l8 90's they had a Santa Fe for a Train run from Ware to Barre or Ware to Palmer to Berre and back to Ware i know the man who oranized it... he tried hi best to keep the santa fe painted in its original paint but he lost.. they painted it into MCER pain =\

  • Ohh, i'm sorry, i was gonna say why would they mean that. But why dont they watch children. I'm just saying. It's not funny i know.

  • The sign is warning motorist that they are on a rual side street and that there are children outside playing and my run out onto the street after a loose ball or something.

I have a similar sign on my street.

  • What I like most about this video, engine was blue and first car was red. Red/Blue, love those colors.

  • Great Video. I really love that horn.

  • safetran corp?

  • You know what. I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!!! 1 of the best vids I had ever seen.

  • I LOVE IT! NICE ONE SKYMAN

  • Nice video, very short trains up there, but a nice video none-the-less

  • SEE RIVER RUNS ARE SHORT TRANS

  • crap that train was short...out here in nebraska trains get up to 100+ cars

  • That's because this is a short spur line, not the main line.

  • M3.

  • Actually, it sounds like an RS3L with a dead 44 bell to me.

  • He lives in mass. Union pacific 844 is far from massachusets.

  • Sweetness!

  • Can you upload a video with union pacfic 844 at crossing?

  • I love railroad crossings.

  • this comment I posted is for buffelgek.

  • that's because it's a branch line railroad.

  • good old gp9s its good to see them still in service

  • This Track is Owned by Massachusetts Central Railroad. Thank you.

  • It would be awsome if those were wig-wag crossing gaurds.

  • cool vid.

  • Rural places don't get gates, some rural crossings in Canada don't even have lights and bells, just a sign.

  • how come they dont have the lowering gates?

  • WHAT A WONDERFUL QUESTION!!!

This street only gets 250 daily cars over this crossing, if it got 10,000 daily cars, then we should hope for some gates! Thank you very very much for your comment!

  • @skyman2002 i once had a train at the crossing near my house sound like an MCER horn. may i ask what horns they use?

  • I love little crossings like this that just have flashers without gates. It has a nice charm to it.

  • Well,... you have to go over the crossing to see why they have a stop signs, if you look to the north, you cant see the train coming un less you stop on the crossing! and its the same thing looking south!. But i do get your point! BTW, i sat in a chair by the crossing, and 2 cars stopped out of 150 did not! and the police stopped 9 cars for not stopping at that crossing!

  • @skyman2002 so what's the point of the stop signs when there are actual signals now to warn now?

  • @weatherdan882002 I Guess The Only Thing I Can say Is, It Slows People Down Who Are Coming Off The Main Road At 60 + MPH.

  • @weatherdan882002 "so what's the point of the stop signs when there are actual signals"? In most developed states/cities, if you don't have crossing arms that come down, you have stop signs regardless of the signal lights. Very, very rural areas may only have crossbucks with no signal lights or stop sign but that's pretty rare these days.

  • Yes, Verry good! it is! they are 8 years old, BTW, Thank you for your comment! :)
